Don't even think about staying here”
No WiFi as advertised, free breakfast was one scrambled egg, coffee extra 40p, extra egg 40p, construction starts at 7AM and will be like that for balance of 2018. Thurs and Sunday the bar advertizes Party night and from 9PM until 4AM our room 150 feet away shook from the volume. After parties one or two bodies are unconscious on the restaurant couches until about 9 AM. Advertised as a villa but no TV, only furniture in our Villa was a new queen bed. Maybe other furniture has not arrived yet. Could not find out as the young girls who ran the place had no info. On day 2 we ran out of water for about 4 hours. I heard other resorts close by are fed up with this bad neighbor. The only reason we stayed our 6 nights was this was the only, or last available room even close to General Luna. On day 3 we asked for linen change, that was only house cleaning in 6 days. Even restaurant had no wifi, meanwhile coffee shops in town did. Other than the new bed and nice linens the rest a disaster.

Hotspot falls into the category of average priced accommodations in Siargao and I ended up booking this hotel as there were almost no other vacancies during our trip. This is one of the "farther" hotels at General Luna which is nearer to Cloud9. Pros of the hotel are the 24 hour restaurant, accommodation to allow us to check-in early and bed (nice bed & comfy comfortable). Cons would be: the room is not a villa; its just a room on the second floor. The cleanliness; when we entered the room the floor was still wet/sticky, room was not cleaned during our stay and there were dirt in the corners of the room. When it rained, there were also leaks in the room that got through. There was also an instance that I requested a change of towels the 2nd day as I used it for our island hopping activities. The hotel only gave me 1 extra towel because it was "rainy". I let it pass although, it was not a justifiable answer on my end.
