The hotel is near at train station. Very near to restaurant and outside has taxi if u want. Also has a parking for motorcycle. Very clean and big.

Good Hotel for Single”
This hotel is near Hsinchu Station; a bit too far away form airport. The room is nicely done up. Staff is helpful. The young man serving me took good care of little miscommunication I had with taxi driver. Very helpful. Nearby, there are many convenient stores and eateries. It's near also to Hsinchu famous City God Temple. I recommend it for single and budget stay.

Stay is okay. Location and breakfast are good. But bedding is not that comfortable. Internet Is really bad. Drinking water is very very bad and water flow in washroom is always hot. It's very difficult to get warm or cold water.

Good for a late overnight ”
It's practically located next to the Hsinchu train station, cross the main road and turn left and the hotel is just less than 100m away. So, it's great if you arrive late at night or want to get out early the next day via the train. The exterior and interior of the hotel look very dated and feels like it's breaking apart But at least it has a lift which is very useful if you have luggages. The toiletries provided are really minimum. Again, can't complain if it's for an overnight stay. The room looks clean but the bathroom is not very well equipped. It doesn't have a shower curtain and you end up having a very wet bathroom after each shower. But I must say I like the selection of TV channels. Enjoyed watching all the Taiwanese varieties shows and dramas.

This is an old hotel but have best location in front of station and in middle of city. The room smell with insects spray and bedsheets maybe have some insects because my kids back have skin rash and itchy.

The location is good but The pictures were way different from what i saw in agoda, the staff weren't friendly enough and they couldn't speak English very well, the room wasn't clean especially the floor was super dirty, check in time is at 18:00 on weekends. And the bed wasn't comfortable

The proximity to the train station is its main strong point. Lots of cheap eats around also. If you’re Filipino, you won’t feel alone as you’ll be seeing your countrymen every so often. For the hotel itself, I think it’s a steal for ~Php1500/night. Either we’re lucky or that the negative reviews I read about Hsinchu 101 (room smells of cigarette smoke, temperature issues, weak wifi) is nonexistent in our room. On the contrary, aircon is individually controlled, no smell of smoke, and wifi is pretty strong. Breakfast is provided too, at no extra cost. Nothing too fancy but the essentials are there: bread, congee, rice, scrambled eggs, etc. And then some more, there’s brewed coffee! Mind you, their kitchen is squeaky clean. I kid you not. They also clean the room everyday. Kind of wasteful though as they change everything everyday: towels, slippers, paper cups. There’s a bit of street noise as the hotel is a stone’s throw from the station. However, noise levels are manageable. One might also hear the sound of the lavatory refilling on the adjacent room. Pretty much minor issues for the price.

Hotel is old but clean and cozy. Hotel staff are friendly. Comfort room is clean. The room that I got has no smell of cigarette like what I read in the previous reviews. Near to the Hsinchu train stations and malls. The price is worthy. Needs to improve? Maybe the breakfast meal. I will give 4 out 5 for staying on this hotel.

A convenient one night stay with good accomodation”
Hsinchu 101 Hotel was conveniently located in the downtown area of the city where there are lot of shopping areas. A good 20-30 minute cab ride from the HSR station. There's a 7-11 right across the street. The room comes equipped with more toiletries than you usually expect from a a hotel. The breakfast was good. AC was working great. Cool nightlight effect available in the rooms.

I had a great time staying in the hsinchu 101, the rooms are very clean and the room attendant are so nice so quick doing the room services. Highly recomended. Great location, in the heart of the city accessible to all transportation mode.

I think for the price and location, it’s indeed relatively good. However, despite the good geographically-cheap accommodation, I had a bad experience. Anyway, I booked 2 nights in Hsinchu 101 hotel. So aft my first night, while I was going out the next day, the staff told me to leave our hotel card behind as it’s their rules and regulations. ( maybe they were scared that we lost the card/we will duplicate the key) but anw my main point is that, while I came back to the hotel, I realised my room was changed to another room ( without informing me), and all my stuff were brought down to the lobby. I asked for an explanation, and they told me because the previous day staff made a mistake, thus they thought we checked out instead. But I would say it would actually be quite funny as the same staff asked me whether I’m checking out or not in the same morning, and we told him we still have 1 night there. So all my stuff were brought down, and the miscellaneous stuff that were not inside our bags were put into a big plastic bag. Mind u that it include our toiletries, our facial products, our dirty clothes etc. I just wanna comment that they only felt apologetic ( yes it was sincere ), but can u feel the kind of frustration to realise all your items are dump into a big plastic without taking good care of the items. Some items were missing, and we just really had a bad experience there. Hope the hotel could manage this kind of situation well whereby they should call us to check on the situation. It’s kinda funny if we checked out, our items wouldn’t even be in the room.
