All good, modern hotel located only a short walk from the train station, restaurants, cafes and shops. A couple of key Tokyo attractions like the Hokusai museum and Edo Museum (although this is shut until 2025) are nearby, including the main grand sumo stadium next door. The room is small, as you'd expect in Tokyo and perhaps more suited for one person but it has everything you'd need - compact but practical and was modern and had a massive flat screen TV for a room of that size. The pool was shut during our stay so can't comment but we used the coin operated laundry, Lawsons (24hrs) within the hotel building.

Located within a stone’s throw from 2 separated Ryogoku Stations (Metro and JR line), it has a 24 hours convenient store, a public bath and a gym (I think this is the only APA Hotel that has a gym in Tokyo). Well the public bath that is clean and spacious allowed us to unwind by the end of each day. I personally went for the hot dip 6 out of the 8 nights of stay. This totally made up for the (expectedly) small room. Apart from that, the space below the bed were purposefully created for us to store our luggages and we could fit all our 3 large suitcases! All in all, I was really happy with my 8 nights here!

Small room with a big view”
21st floor, so had a great view of the city & distant mountains. Room was tiny but with a large queen size bed, big tv, perfectly formed bathroom/toilet pod & all the gadgets/amenities of a typical Tokyo hotel. Of course it was kept perfectly clean. Just strange omission & will be to do with size, is nowhere to store your clothes or suitcase, so apart from coat hooks, it’s a case of putting bag onto bed to take out your clothes for the day & then shutting the case & putting it by the bed or entrance way. Big plus for this hotel is the Ofuro down in the basement, which was open until late in the evening & then early morning. I didn’t use the buffet breakfast, instead bought coffee & sandwich, etc from the 24hr convenience store on the 2nd floor. Subway & JR stations are very close, so great area to explore Ryogoku Sumo district, as well as very close to Electronics district, Skytree & Asakusa

lawsons right in the building is a huge win. elevators get a bit congested during checkout time - if youre planning to go downwards, press up and just get on the next available one. i waited ~15 minutes before trying this

I stayed here for a few nights and had an amazing stay. The view from my room was beautiful! Easily the best part of the hotel is the spa- it’s incredible. Staff was very friendly and helpful too. Would definitely stay here again!

Easy access to 2 different Tokyo train lines, with konbini along the way. Only thing to be mindful of is that APA rooms are very very small, so if you’re more than 2 people it may feel crowded in the room.
