Near to Subway Stations & Rox Asakusa !”

Stayed here for 3 nights in a Twin room. This hotel is 6 min walking distance from Tawaramachi Metro subway station. Asakusa Metro Subway is further away on a 12min walk. Can be a bit tricky to locate as it is in a small lane. Rox Asakusa Shopping Mall is a good landmark to locate and can be found opposite the main street. Staff were friendly and approachable. Hotel's bathroom and toilet is small but this is to be expected of most budget hotel in Japan. Will be good if there's hooks in the bathroom however as there's no place to hang towels or clothes. Room was relatively clean and there's tea set, bath/hand towels, basic bathroom amenities & Yukata for nightwear. You can get drinking water at the hallway outside. There's also a fridge where you can placed your chilled items. Hotel is near to many eating places and Don Quijote. You can walk to Sensoji Temple & Nakamise Street in 8 mins. Will stay here again if I stay in Asakusa!

Cosy and comfortable rooom”

A single room is cosy and comfortable with bathroom and toilet in. the room. The room is large enough for 1 person with a futon. TV, wifi, shared fridge and shared microwave are available. Reception staff is helpful and luggage can be kept during check out. Location is good and nearby station.

3 Times in Tokyo, 3 Times Stayed Here”

What I could say, the location is the best ! 24 hour ROX Supermarket at ROX's Basement Level and Don Quijote are just 1-3 minutes' walking from the hotel... futher walk you would reach Senso-ji temple ! I've been to Tokyo 3 times & all trip I stayed here.

value for money”

its not that easy to find room for a low price.. this is one of the room that i can afford :) Location is around 450m from the nearest metro station. Room is a bit small but this is the standard price for a room in Tokyo

A good hostel!”

Everything is good for this hostel, we stay 1 night then went to hakone and come back stay 2 more night, the staff help us keep the luggage, we check in later then 10:00 coz we get lost, we call the staff and they said they will wait us. Very good service! And thhe last day was raining and the hostel provide free unbrella, u can use it just return it when u finish.

Small room yet amazing”

I stayed there last October 11.the room,toilet and a small tub were so clean and compact.Theyve provided Japanese style shower robe and had clean bed sheet.I wi know based on the smell of the sheet.if it.smell cigarettes.Theyre smell so clean.it was not hard to find as well as far location is concerned and it is so closed to asakusa shrine.Around the area youll find 7 11 and family mart.youll find a korean resto also the serves a chicken stew that will soothe your hungry stomach and heals you if you have congested nose because of the autumn coldness.they have a taiwanese who speaks good English who was very sincere and helpful. over all it is an amazing place.

Good stay”

I stayed in single room. It has private bathtub and toilet separated. Mirror, hair dryer, bath robe, towels, toothbrush and tooth paste, shampoo and body cleanser included. Hotel gives room cleaning service like once in every 3 days(I guess). Pros: Near from Tawaramachi St. for 5~10 min to walk. Easy access to 3 local subway stations and most of them are within 15 min by foot. Neighborhood is clean and quiet. Friendly staff who can speak good English. One of the staff could speak fluent Chinese. 3 different convenience store(Family Mart, Lawson, and Seven-eleven) and numerous kind of lunch box. And most of all, satisfied with the price I paid. Cons: Although the entire facilities in the Hotel maintains good and clean condition, they're bit old. There is only one coin laundry machine at rooftop(200 yen). My room was at second floor. If I wanted to use it, I should take another door at first floor and walk 4 stories all alone. Worse, if machine is used or didn't have 100 yen coins, I must take down, up, down and up all over again.

Consider it's a home in awesome Asakusa area”

It's awesome. Greeting by fluent English speaking Japanese staff is a pleasant surprise even in Tokyo. Your typical worries of staying in a home away from home are no more, knowing you have a local to help you out. The room is on a smaller side, typical for Tokyo, but it's clean and comfortable. It's a bit of a walk from Tawaramachi station, but in a nice cool day, you won't notice the distance. I could only wish this awesome hotel to be a bit cheaper though.

Budget hotel with great location”

I stayed in the hotel for 3 nights and really appreciated its great location. It was a 5 minute walk from Tawaramachi Station and within walking distance from Sensoji Temple, Don Quijote, ROX mall, convenience stores, and restaurants. The staff were also very helpful and spoke English. They gave me a map that showed the different tourist attractions and restaurants within the area. Check in and check out was also a breeze. The hotel room is small but it has all the necessities.

The ryokan staff was helpful. They are prompt in replying my message. Location wise is about 2 to 10 min walk to train station, metro, donki, convinient store. As it's not on the main road, first time looking for it might be harder for someone without Google map. Once you know the way it's pretty accessible to major attractions.

Staff was nice to help with luggage. Opposite the shopping street. Small and humble place but decent and comfortable enough for our 4 nights of stay. Futon was very comfortable.

Hotel is perfect with great staff”

Hotel is close to the train station and the tourist spots. Staff is great and very helpful. Room is good, clean and quiet. However, they don't offer kettle for boiling water.

Worth to stay with superb location”

Walking distance to Tawaramachi Metro Station, Asakusa Tsukuba Express Station, Sensoji Temple, Asakusa Market, Asakusa Metro Station... Please clean the dust at the mirror - cupboard in the room..

Would recommend this for solo travelers!”

Overall a really nice place to stay. - The room was very clean and neat, and the staffs were very friendly and helped me with check-in even though it was late at night. Overall a very nice hostel to stay, and would like to stay here again on my next trip!

The Service Guy is rude”

Place is close to the Sensoji Temple, 7 minutes from subway. Sufficient eateries around the area. Room is small so is the bath. The young lady who checked me in is helpful. But the guy who checked me out is rude. Just before 10am, he intercommed me several times and then he came knocking at the door. While I was finishing my packing. By the time I came to the couunter. It was 10.03 am. He was very unhappy and showed in his face - it's already 10am, you are late. For goodness sake, I am 3 minutes late, -would it make so much difference to his business. That's not service. I will not return nor recommend this guest house in view of his attitude.

Comfortable room”

The room was quite comfortable, the lack of a jug was of concern, the bathroom was extremely small (but the water was very hot) and the toilet was cramped - especially for a person of around 6ft. Staff were very friendly.

Four night stay, October 2015”

We stayed at Asakusa Ryokan Toukaisou Hotel for four nights and really enjoyed it. While our room was on the small side and not the cleanest, it was very affordable and the staff were particularly helpful and spoke excellent English. The hotel is in the Asakusa area which has a number of interesting sites and the nearby metro stations make it easy to travel to other areas of Tokyo. Further, you can take the metro from Asakusa Station direct to Narita airport. Although breakfast was not included, there were plenty of good restaurants and convenience stores nearby. Finally, it is near a public onsen which we experienced on our last night in Japan. Overall, we recommend this hotel and would gladly stay here again the next time we visit Tokyo.

the place to stay in Asakusa”

Despite the struggling in finding the Ryokan on the day we arrived, it is actually very conveniently located. Our first time in a ryokan turned out to be a great experience. Restaurants, convenient stores, metro stations, are all in walking distance. even for girls in heels or do not like to walk at all. We thought the room is small, specially the bathroom, but we changed our mind right after checking into another hostel in the neighbourhood. In your room, you will have your own table and tea set, a bathtub no matter how small it is, is better than none. We would strongly recommend this ryokan to international budget travellers.

A Great budget hotel. ”

Great. Only thing was since they didn't had beds in the rooms. Its Japanese style floor mattresses and we didn't used to that. Room cleanliness is superb. Friendly staff. Free wifi connection. When we check in they give us all the tourist destinations of the area. thanks
