One of the better budget hotels”

This used to be one of the Tone hotels. The only issues I has we're the aircon needing cleaning, the temperature regulation in the shower being terrible. Spoke to a staff member who seemed to think I had not checked the obvious.....Room was quite big. Bed linen was clean. TV had only a few of the channels it should have had. Didn't bother reception on that one. All in all it was fine apart from the aforementioned.

Great value for money”

The cute and knowledgeable receptionist Lloyd gave us a fabulous welcome, suggesting a walk along the river and sights to visit. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel as everything was new and clean and despite being in a street with some restaurants and entertainment venues it was very quiet.

Great Value Hotel”

I stayed here after a works night out as it offered excellent value for a hotel in the middle of Newcastle. Easily located on the Quayside, the rooms were small but ideal for me as I was the only one staying in the room. The bathroom was clean and well equipped, staff were helpful at check out and check in, will use again for sure.

Budget place”

The staff here are not great, they didnt give us the internet password and didnt turn on the tv access. Had to go down to reception twice. The room is basic and seems more worn out compaired to other tune hotels ive stayed in. Think the name of the hotel changed to easy rooms or easy hotel. But its basicly the same as tune. Had a bad sleep here, I have stayed here before and had the same issue with sleeping. Also drunks seem to always stay here and are noisy, alot of banging around and arguing in the corridor. I would not recomend staying here if you have children. I dont think I will be staying here again. But the location is ok if you want to be on the keyside. There is a great little pub called the redhouse nearby. Good beer and food.

Cheap, clean, nice stay”

They dont clean your room everyday but provide a clean new bedcover & towel. One of the cheapest hotels in Newcastle. Good location, near river side. A very good one for budget hotel, especially when you just need a place to sleep.

Needed to be in Newcastle overnight found this by chance on line took a gamble and it paid off. Clean room and peaceful nights sleep, staff very polite and helpful. Next time in Newcastle I know where to stay ... Cheap as well

Excellent budget hotel for one or two nights”

Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was great, close to shops, leisure etc. Room was basic but clean and comfy. Grey for a night or two, but lack of clothes storage make it unsuitable for longer. Would use again

I booked the tune hotel for my brother and his friend who were down in newcastle to watch the football... and they wanted in the city centre... so i booked this one... he said it was a great hotel.. room was lovely.. safe very friendly.. let them check in early at a small cost.. which they didnt mind payin extra.. close to everything they needed.. they even enjoyed going to the market on sunday morning..x would defo stay again xx

The tune ”

Perfect city centre location, bars and clubs on your door step. Room was spotlessly clean however there is a lack of standard facilities for example, dressing table, a chair, wardrobe (hangers or rail) and kettle.

we needed somewhere that was close to Wembly Arena and this was well within walking distance. Staff were very friendly and helpful. the querky room was in the basement and didnt have a window but once the light was off for sleep it didnt matter. i would recomend this hotel to anybody who wants to be neer Wembly.

we stayed in room 108 prior to booking we read some reviews and were apprensive about booking it glad we did the hotel is brilliant we don/t know what some people expect for the price of the hotel rate they must be to fussy if so should go somewhere else well located for shops and restaurants and dean street car park is very close to the hotel with free parking from 5pm till 8am also free parking for disabled car park is closed at 7pm till 8 am short walking distance to main shopping centre will definitely stay here again brrrrrrrrrrrrrriliant hotel all round

Pay, Pay and Pay!”

Disappointing, from location (it was rather inaccessible with the windy roads) to turning up and realising they have a big red menu with $$ and add ons to your room (like WiFi) that are not included. Granted of course, this is a budget hotel. But in this day and age, WiFi should be a basic necessity, very much like tap water.

Traveled from Carlisle and Booked For 2 nights went to see simply red great concert ended booking extra night due to floods back home couldn't get home for travel disruptions staff were brilliant will definitely go back cheers the Carlisle gang

Clean hotel”

I really wanted to like this hotel it is fairly new and right next to the Quayside. However I arrived on a friday and decided to book a second night they charged me over double Checkin was slow and had problems with their card reader. I went shopping early on the next morning, when i returned late afternoon the cleaner had not even cleaned my room. Also the tv and hairdryer were no longer working. I complained to reception on my way out on the Saturday. When i returned room still wasnt cleaned and the tv, and internet still did not work even though i had paid for the comfort package. I had to buy toliet paper from the shop nearby as i was annoyed already. Woke up to drunks banging on doors during the night. To top it all off the fire alarm woke me at 5am. I wont be staying here again.

good enough”

We did not stay long enough at our rooms as there's not much to do. The room was clean when we stayed on the first night but they do not clean it everyday. My husband had to request for a remote control as it was not provided in the room. There's also no wardrobe cabinets at all so our clothes had to be kept inside our bags. The good thing is it's very near to Tyne and Millenium bridge. Walking distance to the train station and shopping malls.

Out stay at the tune hotel was great you couldn't fault anything the only thing which was missing was the tea and coffee facilities in the room but no doubt this was available on request. Thankyou for a warm and friendly stay tune Newcastle see you again soon

Tune Review”

Tune hotel was lovely - very central especially for the night life and only a 10 min walk from the Metro Radio Arena. Didn't have food here so just gave it an average score. Room was very stylish, clean and comfortable. I used a 3rd party booking website and got our room for a fair bit cheaper than the quoted £80 per night. Would definitely recommend to a freind.

Have to say that I am impressed this hotel. First I am not expected that it will be great but after spend a night there. I have to say that I am fall in love with this hotel esp. The decorations are very modern.

The Ryanair of hotels -- Stay away from the breakfast!”

This is basically the Ryanair of hotels, where only the absolute minimum is included unless you pay for it. The cheapest rate has them demand payment for use of the WiFi and the TV (!), for which you need to pay to get a remote. All of this is more or less fine, except Agoda would have done well to inform about these things beforehand. WiFi and TV were included for my room, but does say a lot about the standard of the hotel in general. I also had breakfast included in my reservation, which consisted of an extremely underwhelming cardboard box filled with a pot of corn flakes, milk, a juice box, a muffin, and a pack of fruits and seed mix. I am also very sure that the corn flakes and milk made me very sick for a total of 36 hours after eating it, starting with frequent visits to the toilet all day as of minutes after eating it, peaking with a fever some 12 hours later, with no improvement in my stomach problems until the following night. Only stayed one night, but it was a disaster.

OK value for budget hotel”

Price is OK. Good location. But room is just OK quality.
