Fantastic hotel, delicious breakfast and friendliest staff ever!”
The staff, from the reception to the cleaners to the breakfast, is super nice and friendly and goes out of its way to accomodate guests. The room (standard) was super clean, fairly spacious. The breakfast was yummy! There’s a delicious buffet with fresh honey, various cheeses, yoghurt, scrambled egg, fresh fruits, avocado/shrimp/potato salad, quality bread, and a bunch of other fantastic things. You also get to order either a special egg dish or french toast dish, which is also included. This hotel can be reached from the international airport with the Narita Express (80 minutes or so). Shibuya is the biggest and most complicated station and intersection with dozens of exits and resembling crossroads though. So; here’s a tip if you don’t want to get lost like we did; when you get out of the Narita Express, immediately look for “New South Exit”. Once outside, look to your left and walk that way for 1 minute: Shibuya Stream (mall, food) is there, the hotel is on the 4th floor!

Incredible Location in Shibuya (directly above Shibuya Station) and Exceptionally Clean Hotel”
Newly opened hotel at the time of this review (September 2018) with an amazing location right above the newly-developed part of Shibuya Station! Advantages: - You can basically walk from the hotel lobby to Shibuya platforms via a life and 2-minute walk through the station. - Very clean and newly designed hotel. - Open bar and plenty of lounge area in the lobby. - Access to eateries below the lobby reception including Starbucks, Luke's Lobster, a small-medium grocery and other restaurants. Disadvantages: - Rooms can be slightly small for a traveller looking for a more spacious living amenity. - Breakfast offering was limited however for the price of rooms (at the time of review), it was understandable. The staff were also very accommodating. It is very hard to beat if you're looking to stay in Shibuya, or want to stay as close to Shibuya Station as possible. Upon our experience, I would highly recommend this hotel due to the locality.

A good place to stay in Tokyo”
We were really pleased of our choice, this hotel is well situated close to the metro, clean with new furniture, a nice enclosed shower, a confortable bed. The room was not large but we manage. If they add some shelves it will be more easy to keep our stuff in order, two suitcase and one stand it is not enough!! The personnel was very nice and helpful, off course a better knowledge of english will be appreciated. We read this information from another post, the hotel is at the Shibuya station, direction 16B, this help us to find the right direction at the metro station. The hotel is surrounded by many restaurants easy to find after a long day of visiting.

In the heart of Shibuya! ”
We loved this hotel! We stayed here for 4 nights. It was in such a great location! It was clean, comfortable, the room is spacious, the staff spoke English, and were so kind. CJ at the hotel bar is incredible! The cocktails were great that he would make. The train station is steps away and so is the infamous Shibuya crossing! There are many shops and places to eat right downstairs from your hotel. It is a newer hotel but we had such a wonderful stay!

My number 1 choice in Tokyo”
As a frequent traveler to Tokyo, Shibuya Stream Excel Tokyu has become my preferred hotel. My recent visit marks my 3rd time to stay at this hotel. Shibuya Stream Excel Tokyu is easily accessed to JR Shibuya Station (“New South Exit”). For the current visit, I also tried various restaurants and bars which are located at the same building. I would also like to recommend travelers to try any of these restaurants because of their excellent quality and value for money. In terms of hotel staff, they are generally helpful and fluent in English. Not to mention the hotel room’s facilities: clean, spacious and trendy.

Perfect location with an excellent room. ”
Perfect location. The rooms are modern with a very cool vibe. You'll love it. Great view. (I believe all rooms have a good view because all room are on the 9-13 floors.) The hotel sits on top of the new Shibuya Stream which is a walk way that goes overtop of the ground/roads and features a bunch of great restaurants and cafes. It's a perfect location being steps away from Shibuya station making it very easy to get around and to Narita airport as well. The staff was very good as well. It's also worth noting that as of this writing (June 2019) there is construction at Shibuya Station, so have patience while you get your bearings there with some of the walking detours. Highly recommended this hotel!

Flawless”
The hotel is in an excellent location- just outside Shibuya station for easy access to the Narita Express, JR lines and local subways. Walking distance to a ton of Shibuya attractions, shopping, food and nightlife. The hotel itself is immaculate, clean, beautifully designed and well appointed. Our room was the biggest we’ve stayed in throughout Japan and extremely modern. Stayed on the 11th floor and had an awesome view of the city with the bed facing floor to ceiling windows. Will absolutely stay again.

Hip and Cozy Hotel in the midst of Shibuya ”
With modern interiors yet cozy feel, this new hotel delivered all that we have expected from it: well- thought room- floor plan with great city view ( we got the Superior Corner Room), cleanliness, warm and helpful staff (including a robot who delivers requested stuff to the rooms😊), easy access to the center of the action in Tokyo- by train, by bus, or on foot ( in a relatively calm area about 10- minute walk away to the organized chaos of Shibuya Crossing), great selection of restaurants and coffee shops ( Luke’s Lobster Roll, Starbucks and Dean &Deluca, Cityshop Pizza, Torrent) from the 2nd up to 4th floor. Two thumbs up!

Best mid range hotel in the heart of shibuya!”
This hotel was amazing! Believe the pics, I am usually skeptical, crossing my fingers as I was through the doors because I’m usually shocked as to what’s inside. But this room, was beautiful! Plenty of space, new hotel meant new everything, it was clean and just all round an amazing place to stay. It was also super close to shibuya and everything you may need. We walked everywhere. We’ll be back for sure when we’re in town next. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.

The hotel is excellent! The staff is beyond friendly and accommodating. The location couldn't be better! Walking distance to everything in the area. A lot of excellent restaurants with in the complex! I am a very tall man.. I was very comfortable in my room, the bed is big and comfy, big shower and standard bath tub.. not a combo.. very new and modern.. I will stay here again!! Excel exceeded my expectations! ”
Out of all the hotels we stayed in during our 2 weeks in Japan, this was definitely our favorite. It's about a 3 minute walk to the train station, endless restaurants nearby, the staff are extremely nice and helpful (they're able to communicate in english flawlessly), the rooms were immaculate. Since most rooms in Tokyo are relatively small compared to western standards, my main concern was finding a room that had enough space to open my big luggages in. We had 2 huge luggages and both were able to open it at the same time in the room. We left our luggages opened throughout our stay and did not have to close them in order to navigate around the room. Needless to say, the double room was perfect. The pillows, bed, interior decor ambiance were comfy as well. After a long day of walking around Tokyo, this was definitely a stay I looked forward to at night.

Great hotel!”
After a long 9hr flight and a 1hr train ride, we were relieved to finally check in to such a beautiful hotel. We were welcomed by Lobby staff and felt right at our home away from home instantly. The room was perfect! So clean and very modern. Our toddlers loved their stay and the view especially for us all was breath taking. All the amenities and restaurants were convenient too! Comfortable and stylish hotel in a great location ”
The hotel is new and in a great location. Close to the station and subway and lots of food options. A short walk to all the shops in Shibuya. I stayed in a double room which was very clean. Comfortable bed and soft pillows. Stylish design and helpful staff. Breakfast was delicious. They have a laundry which was appreciated. Highly recommended!

Amazing room and close to train stations”
Pros: Highly recommend this place to travelers. Close to subway stations! Arrived around 5pm and found the hotel immediately (exit via South exit from JR station/Narita Express); ~2 blocks away. Checkin was super smooth via computer. In terms of sizing, I think the room is actually a bit bigger than most rooms in Japan. I travelled with my boyfriend and we felt like the room was a decent size. We didn't feel cramped at all even with two carry on luggages. This hotel is located near many good food options and shopping. Another added pro: there's a W/D, a must when traveling for long periods of time! Cons: none for me!

Super convenient ”
Best location for shopping and food. Everything is but a few minutes walk including the train stations. The staffs are all friendly and very helpful. Our corner room had an awesome view and the cleanliness of the room is top notch. You walk in and the room Smells clean and no odors. I would love to come back again!

Will definitely come back to this hotel next time. Staffs are very friendly, area overall is clean and convenient. Close to all subway stations / restaurants / shopping area. It was hard for us to find the subway exit to the hotel at first due to the conturstctions in the area. But after that it was awesome!

Superb and Awesome ”
Superb and awesome location, in the centre of Shubiya. Nice room, very clean and modern, and lovely staffs. Restaurants and a mini mart are just on the lower floor. The Shibuya station is just in the next door, walk thru the next building connecting with crossing platform. Love it!

Great boutique hotel in Tokyo ”
The rooms are very good and comfortable...not so small by Tokyo standards. Good value with great breakfast. The building has 3 floors of restaurants which are good. Close to Shibuya station and crossing. Very convenient!!!

Stylish new hotel in a great location ”
Pros: Close to Narita Express, only a few minutes walk from the new south exit of JR Shibuya Station. New hotel. Staff speak English and are very helpful. Rooms are stylish, spotless and relatively large by Tokyo standards. Single room is approximately 20 square meters. Beds are comfortable. Nice pillows. TV has CNN, BBC and NHK in English. Views over Tokyo are great. Connected to the new Shibuya Scramble building via a covered walkway. Close and easy access to many subway lines. Close to all the attractions and shopping of Shibuya. Many food and snack choices very close to the hotel. Cute robot delivers drinks and snacks to your room. Bar space with music. Breakfast is different but delicious. Cons: Some construction noise during the daytime. Single room has shower but no bathtub.

Pros - brand new hotel, spacious room, plenty of room amenities, corner room offers great views, awesome bathroom, very clean, good service by hotel staff, highly accessible and connected to train stations Cons - none really except maybe if you want to be next door to the Shibuya crossing then it’s still a 10min walk away.
