Great location”

We fit three people in the apartment which felt a bit too small, but I don't think we could find a much bigger place for the price in this neighborhood. The toilet in particular is very small, we are 5'9" and 6'0" and our knees were practically touching the door! The place was clean and nice enough, though. The hostel only has one washer and dryer, but there is a tiny laundromat very closeby. The location is great, less than a 10 minute walk from both Shin-Okubo station and Higashi-Shinjuku station. There are a Sushi Zanmai and a Family Mart extremely close to the apartment.

Rather rude owners”

The owners’ replies to our questions and requests were quite rude. They told us to change rooms without informing us beforehand that the room we are checking into is temporary. We went to ask them why we had to change rooms, where the new room was, and whether their staff could help us out with our luggages since they only have staircases to the apartment rooms and got really rude and unpleasant replies from them.

Cheap but be warned if your flight is delayed and ur arrival is late”

Cons: went hunting for our apartment room which was misleading and a code was given although the actual room was in a different block. Not particularly clean and no microwave nor pots available for use.

Owner was very helpful and the apartment was clean and close to all amenities + public transport

All good. There’s kitchenette But they need to provide cookware, such as pan or pot. Its close to korean downtown.

Good location, easy access to Shin-Okubo train station and Higashi-Shinjuku subway, lots of nearby convenience stores and a bento shop in the heart of Korean town. Room is spacious for 4 people, although you cannot cook your own food (no kitchen, utensils and cookware) but there's a microwave and a personal ref. Staff is helpful and accommodating.

Strategic”

The location of hostel is strategic. Everything you can walk include shinjuku. Plus the location have 2 different station train(Tokyo subway & JR). Two days before i back to country,there was rat in our room. Immediately inform receptionist, and she change our room and upgrade to family room with the refund 3000 yen. Thanks to receptionist (couldn't remember her name) for immediate action.!

The room was very small and includes a shower and toilet. The beds were comfy enough that we had no issues with sleep. The shower was see through so be careful staying here with others. The area was seconds away from the Shin Okubo strip and was very convenient.

Mouse”

We were a group of friends. We reserved for one week in this hotel. When we arrived the host gave us an other apartment and not the one we reserved for "more space" but there weren't all the equipments we were supposed to have. Then we discovered there were mouse in our apartment and that they went in all our suitcases, bed etc.. Hopefully, the host immediately gave us an other flat but it was what we were supposed to have at the beginning.

Me and my friends really enjoyed staying in this place very near subway station. i a bit confused about the location at first but the room and facilities are very comfortable. Worth to stay.

The room is nice and large. Complete with all the basic need. Nice location and easy to access subway. Nearby with restaurant and bento shop which is cheap and taste good. The staff is very helpful and allow us for early check in.

The host isnt much friendly the cockroach in the room is much more friendly.”

Small place but easy to get around”

I love the location which is the Korean town area. The nearest station is Shin Okubo. Nearby (turn left from the exit) & a few metres down you find the Islamic Street for Halal foods. Stayed for 2 nights with my daughter & we were given a bunk bed. Small space but with toilet & shower. The towels were old & rough otherwise everything else was fine

Definitely got room for improvement ”

Cons: Temperature of water from heater not consistent; sometimes very cold and other times scorching hot. Got burnt a number of times. Gave us wrong info and we had to travel from Mitaka to Narita and back to Mitaka again. No room make up or dispose rubbish. Pros: Toilet seat always warm despite temperature. Close to 2 different train stations.

Location is very convenient. Breakfast time 8-9am. Our bus depart 7am 2 day breakfast we pay gone. Staff promise can send us & luggage to Shijukun station on last day but not turn out & call nobody answer cause we late to airport bus limous.

Nice place and affordable”

The staff is very accommodaying. We arrive very late in the evening and the front office is already close.; they still manage and provide us a temporary refuge for the night (leaving message in the front desk window) then in the morning we were transfered to our assigned room. Con: 1. The room ceiling has droplets of rain water. 2. Toilet is a very small; not recommended for tall person. Pro: 1. Very convinient to metro subeay jusy 250m away. 2. Near restaurants and convinient store.

Good for tight Budget traveller ”

Overall the apartment is located at Korean street. Easy excess to restaurant and train station. The only drawbacks are the rooms are old and no cooking facilities. No housekeeping to upkeep the rooms daily neither will they enter your rooms to clean and replace new towels. If you are on a tight budgets,SOPHIEARTH is the place to stay
