Little gem close to Thai/Lao border”

After travelling from the UK arriving too late to enter Laos via the Friendship Bridge, the Huen Esan Place was the perfect stop over. A pre-arranged late check-in (10pm) was perfectly implemented. Hot shower, fresh clean white bedding in a wooden Thai styled chalet room was just the ticket for one weary traveller. A warm welcome from the owner was received the following morning, when a light breakfast of toast and marmalade was provided free of charge. They also organised a tuk-tuk for me to the border. Situated on a leafy street in NongKhai close to Tesco Lotus.

Little gem close to Friendship Bridge”

This is the second time I have stayed at Huen Esan Place. I arranged a late check-in at 22h30 again without any problems. Comfortable, clean room with fridge and air con. Located on a leafy street close to the Lao-Thai Friendship Bridge, another great stay, perfect for my needs. They also served a little breakfast including toast and marmalade as well as coffee for those coffee drinkers.

Quite home-like place”

This GH is pretty simple, but lovely. Owned by super friendly Thai family, it has an open-air cafe with cheap and good soups, great coffee. Every room has it's own kind a balcony\entrance. If you're ok with simple rooms and local experience, Huen Isan is for you.

Hotel Full Taken to Their Guest House”

We were met by staff of Huen Esan and told it was full and taken to a small well run guest house near the Mekong. The rooms were well used, the breakfast not existent but had a great time anyway. Their Guest House is a few minute walk to the Mekong in Nong Khai and served it's purpose, giving us a place to stay before the long drive to Chaing Mai. Would we return? Yes, but would love to see their other hotel someday.

We have stayed in many hotels in Thailand and this one is exceptional. The rooms were exceptionally clean and private. The owner (I did not catch her name) was very friendly and helpful. We forgot to bring our USB chargers for our phones and she was kind enough to lend us one! Not to mention the food in the restaurant just in front of the hotel was delicious. Will definitely stay here again.

Really enjoyed our two night stay. The hosts were amazing particularly the owners son who went above and beyond to help us. Affordable, clean, everything in the room worked, nice surroundings ...... stay here if your passing through!

nice terrace and free breakfast”

It has a nice independent terrace and serves free breakfast. Traditional Thai house and wooden floor. You can expect comfortable and clean, quiet staying as well. 30 minutes walk to the downtown or the bus terminal, quite difficult to find it. But there is a big Asawan shopping mall and a Tesco lotus. If you ask , the staff will drop you off the bus terminal.

Too far too little”

first day had to kill about 50 mosquitos in the room, after that kept the door closed all the time and it wa ok. shower small and showerhead broken. waterheater not strong enough for decemberweather in nong khai, so half cold showers. wooden floors wich make a loud cracking noise at every step you take inside the room. paperthin walls so you here everything from the next room. far from center, so need to walk to tesco and take tuktuk (50 baht normal price, but some drivers try to rip you off (quoted 80-100 baht). owners are very helpfull and nice, no complains there, but concidering location and quality of the rooms I would not stay here again.

ok for a stay of one night to transit as I am travelling to Laos. I looked at photos on agoda and it seems to be cozy with garden but in real it's not really like in the photo. staff are friendly.

too far but spacious”

the shower was not good due to low pressure water and warm water! no bike avalable limited English 15 min walk to Tesko is thr only highlight but i enjoyed the peace not seeing tourists!!

nice and spacious bf included but just bread n jam 10~15 min walk to 711 and tesko not much around the guest house limited help on tours but can call a tuktuk for you!

Funny hotel in isolated area”

There was nobody else, the hotel was deserted and it was just very remote. I also found it pretty weird that I asked to store my luggage, but when I came back at night the luggage room wasnt locked ..

Yo lo utilice como lugar de descanso y relax antes de pasar a Laos. La única pega que tiene es que esta un poco apartado del centro del pueblo (15 min. andando) pero tiene un centro comercial a 5 min. en el que encuentras de todo

Bon rapport qualité prix, personnel sympathique mais trop éloigne du centre ville si vous n'avez pas de vélo ou de moto.

値段の割に評価が高かったので少し期待していたが、キャンプ場のバンガローだった。 チェックイン時に洗面所が濡れていたのが気になった。 ホテルと思って行くと期待が裏切られてしまう。バンガローと思って行けば、値段相応として受け入れやすいのではないか。 Wifiはつながらない。 クローゼットはなく、簡易的な物干しが置いてあるだけ。ハンガーも言わないと貸してもらえなかった。 入り口のところにあるパンやコーヒー（インスタント）は無料のサービス。
