Clean comfortable hotel in good location ”
Great location, tour office next door, hotel is part of large travel group. Breakfast is good, fruit, bread and a further choice of egg or toast etc.. Staff very helpful. Chau Doc is an interesting place. If you book a tour do your homework and make sure you cover the places you wish to see. Lots of independent boat operators on river who are good and cheap.

Cheap, clean and great location”
Pro’s: Modern clean spacious rooms if a little simple but at this price no one can complain. Great location, a short walk to the bus station and food market. Breakfast is okay, ask for the local menu to avoid the poor western food. Con’s: Staff could be a little more attentive. After checking in they basically ignored us.

Great option right in the centre of town ”
The hotel is very clean, modern, good size room, well equipped with sockets next to the bed, clean kettle, fridge etc. Great location right in the centre of town. Breakfast options were a bit limited but for the price you can't really complain. We booked for one night and ended up staying three- there's not a lot to do in chau doc but was a great hotel for a little rest stop on our 7 month tour of SE Asia--so clean and modern and practical. Head to the Mekong tours and get yourself on one the $12 group tours to the bird sanctuary (leaving at 3 pm each day) - little commentary but a nice little afternoon trip out.

Room was perfect and so were the staff. Breakfast was on the 8th floor with spectacular views of Sam Mountain and the town. Food was really nice too, nothing was too much trouble. Only drawback was Chau Doc itself. It has old style communist speakers everywhere in the streets and wakes up the residents at 5am, keeping a running commentary and music through to 7am. You cannot avoid this noise, no hotel, no room, no matter how high or which way facing, will save you.

The hotel was walking distance from the boat dock and from the river front area. Across the street was a little square with a lot of snack and drink vendors. There did not seem to be many restaurants around, though, and the hotel only served breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable and quiet. I would stay here again if returning to Chau Doc. It was nice!

Hotel is very new and very modern..bedrooms are spacious with fitted wardrobes..good size dressing table..large flat screen tv..big bathroom with enclosed walk in shower..a rarety in Asia.. located in a busy square with lots of shops and street restaurants nearby.. Breastfast is served early from 6 am so it wd seem most people eat early too as by 8.30..most food was gone but they did offer usxa light cooked breakfast.. Cannot fault this hotel in any way and incredible value for money.. Chau Doc is a very big busy market town and from other reviews I expected a small fishing town..not so!!!!

We were just passing through Chau Doc on our way to Phu Quoc and needed to spend the night. The hotel was a nice surprise, both in its location and the room accommodations. Enjoyed our brief stay, recommend it for anyone passing through.

We only stayed one night in this hotel unless there’s not much to see around Chau Doc. Unfortunately none of the staff spoke English so it was pretty hard to figure out what went on. Still helpful and very kind though, we had a good night and can recommend the hotel.

Our room had the hardest bed I've ever slept on. Our room was right over the market, so sleeping at night was impossible. Make sure to bring ear plugs. Food was great tho! And staff were quite friendly. We researched for a local tour company and came across Ms. San tours. She is amazing!! Great English. We spent our two days in Chau Doc with her, touring the surrounding countryside. She set up everything for us! Highly recommend contacting her if traveling here! Other than noisy location, good experience in Chau Doc at Hung Cuong Hotel.

Chau doc is mostly just transfer station and for that hotel is perfect. big bed (but little hard), strong AC, nice bathroom. breakfast was west style so that little sad if you considire what you can buy outside for amazing foos. staff very helpfull, has own bus army

The location is great. The hotel closes to all amenities. You can find most of the restaurants, food vendors and Super market at walking distance. At night you can hire the Vietnamese rickshaw taking you around the city, along the riverside. It's not like the Chinese pulled rickshaw we"ve seen from those Chinese movies :). It's the rickshaw pulled by a bicycle :). The room is very clean with basic layout but modern and new. The mattress is firm so it might set you off if you prefer to sleep on the soft mattress tho. We have no problem and love it. The bus station is just located right beside the hotel to add more convenient. Sorry to say the only thing we grade it bad is the hotel breakfast foods, which are terrible and eww, which is eeww and no taste.. Lol. Hope they will improve it in the next time I come back,

hotel used solar panel for hot water, on day without sunlight there will be No hot water for shower at night and day time shower will be room temperature, the room are well cleaned and bright but too many insects on above ceiling like mosquito. all the male staff are extremely friendly, especially the manager on duty.
