We had the best vacation week ever at Hutchingson! Staff were very welcoming, greeted us with a smile everytime. Very pleasant to deal with. Cherri & Jasmine were so helpful with helping us looking for things to do & places to dine out. Rooms were cleaned everyday. Loved the breakfast. Everyday had a different variety of hot/cold food that was replenished if running low. There was definatly no shortage of food for the guests. Pool & Jacuzzi was clean & warm. Private beach was perfect & very clean! Plenty of seating on pool deck & beach. Right down the road just a few min by car was public beaches with free parking. And the island restraunts had very good food and service. We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel and will definatly be back again! What we loved was that we weren't price gouged to stay at a beautiful place, let alone being on an island. Since we saved so much on this hotel, it gave us extra money to do things with our children. Making memories!

Hidden paradise ”
I stumbled upon this place as I was searching for somewhere to stay for a couple nights with my husband. I chose this hotel because of the reviews and it did not disappoint! It’s a beautiful location with its own beach and dock. We saw manatees swim right up by the dock and 3 or 4 huge stingrays. There is also a great selection of restaurants and bars that are walking distance from the hotel. We recommend on the edge bar and grill! They had great food and drinks and a great view of the water! We will be back with our kids the next time and might even make this our new family trip spot!

Very relaxing stay”
The staff was friendly. We were able to check in early after a very long drive. The lady at the front desk ( I think her name was Sherry) took my phone number and called me when the room was ready. She even suggested things to do while we waited. There was plenty to do within walking distance. We especially liked walking to Dave's Diner which is open 24 hours for great made to order food. I am sure we will stay again next year.

I was put in a room next to the elevator consequently I never got any sleep after 5.30 and I had been to a wedding the night before and got back late. My bill should be cut in half. If you know your elevator is noisy the rooms next to it should not be rented out if you want repeat business

Not the cleanest room ,, had toe nail on the carpet and the sheets had a foot print on it. Pool not open big bummer.. I would not recommend staying there. The staff was just OK not really that friendly.. won't ever come back

Everything great but the pillows and breakfast”
Spent one night here,beautiful location on inlet with pool,small beach and wharfs.Only complaints were the tiny square pillows and mediocre breakfast.I prepaid the room ahead of time,but was charged a $5 plus tax resort fee,not told to me by Agoda or the Hotel on check in or check out.Citibank credited it back to me when I disputed the charge.

We stayed here over Christmas. It's a very nice hotel - clean, well kept, comfortable beds, nice bathrooms - everything you would expect. I would say it is on par with a Hampton or Holiday Inn. The breakfast was good as well. My only criticism is that the desk clerks need to spend more time at the front desk rather than on the other side of the wall. Even if checkins are not expected during certain hours hotel guests will still have questions or need help with something - not to mention the security concern.

Only con was the huge crane working the morning I had to get up early. The current construction 30 ft away from the manmade beach was too loud & an eye sore for those trying to vacation. I was unaware of this as well. They should inform customers of construction and lots of loud noise early in the morning. Not good for business! Otherwise, a great place for small families or solo traveler

I've stayed several times - great location on the inlet - beautiful peaceful views of the inlet traffic which is mild during mid June. Beach access great for little kids (calmer waters) interesting sea life visible from the docks (fish, crabs, mantas, even an 8 foot manatee swam by a few feet off shore). Inlet pier/jetty a mile or so away if you want more people. Decent breakfast.
