Anniversary celebration”
Our stay in Canberra was to celebrate our 9yr anniversary. We were welcomed with a handmade sweets gift in our room upon arrival which was such a warm and appreciated thought & incentive. The room was comfortable, clean and well appointed. Amazing venue with loads of history and gorgeous decor. Parking was easy and convenient. Highly recommended.

Just the best”
This is an iconic hotel that is at the very high end of the hotel market. Everything about the place is just superb. From the rooms, the grounds, facilities and food are just great. The staff are absolutely fabulous, very pleasant and courteous and can’t do enough for you. Yes more expensive than some, but you get what you pay for.

Had a good time at the hotel. Staff was great, hotel and rooms were clean. Only downside which was again temporary was - the main restaurant and bar were close because of staff shortage due to covid.

Rooms not suited for families”
Booked for 2 adults + 2 kids, but only had one king bed. Reception told us it is impossible to get bedding for four, but promised to bring one extra bed whilst we were having dinner. The extra bed had not arrived when we came back at 9pm. It finally arrived when I requested again. But still only three beds for four people. Not good enough.

Great Old Hotel. Very Prestige. Would be good if we were COVID Free so the facilities would be open. We will definitely stay here again when that time comes

Historic hotel”
Having stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions in the last twenty years it saddens me to say that its becoming a little tired. It wouldn't take much to freshen things up - some new carpet in the lobbies in particular wouldn't hurt while keeping the heritage look intact. Special attention though should be made of the food menu in the restaurant which is also heritage in both being incredibly boring and the menus themselves which were so old the plastic was peeling from the corners. I'm afraid to say the slightly disengaged staff didn't help - not what you expect in a hotel of this standard and cost.

Our Two Nights at the Hyatt”
The Canberra Hyatt is a lovely hotel, set in gardens and retaining an older style which I find very relaxing and prefer. The high standard of service starts at the entrance where guests are politely and warmly welcomed and assisted where necessary. The lobby and dining and bar areas are lovely. To arrive back at the hotel after a busy day and see people enjoying the exquisite High Tea is a real treat. The rooms are tastefully decorated, very comfortable and the bathrooms are beautiful. There is an understated feeling of luxury about these spaces. The service is efficient and friendly and never intrusive. The breakfasts are spectacular but I was a little disappointed with the dinner I had. Perhaps I made a poor choice, but the restaurant is quite expensive and one would expect all dishes to be of a very high standard. Parking is very convenient and the location is central to everything that one might wish to do and see in Canberra. It is my favourite hotel. It is quiet, relaxing and aesthetic.

Lovely hotel and service with a smile”
The Hyatt Hotel is one of the most important historical buildings in Canberra, and it has been restored and extended perfectly. I walked around the whole hotel and appreciated the beautiful architecture. The restaurant has a beautiful seafood buffet which was delicious, and the bar is very charming and romantic. The setting of the hotel is also very beautiful, just next to the Albert Hall, and near Lake Burly Griffen. It is a beautiful site to visit. I will certainly return.

Good location near Parliamentary zone”
The Hyatt in Canberra is somewhat confusingly called 'Hyatt Hotel Canberra - A Park Hyatt Hotel' rather than just being called 'Park Hyatt' like the others are. It is good with friendly staff and big rooms but it's not a Park Hyatt as the name hints. The location is very convenient - an easy walk to Parliament House and National Gallery along the lake. We walked to the Australian War Memorial easily although sometimes it feels that Canberra would prefer that you drove everywhere. There's no need to valet park which is $25 per night - there is plenty of free parking around the hotel. One slight weirdness on our visit - our Agoda voucher said B&B package but also said 'Breakfast not included'. Hyatt staff were confused but included breakfast for us. Lucky as it is $38 per head for the only ok buffet.
