There are few Ibis branches in Edinburgh . Just look for hunter Square then you will easily find this hotel. Nice breakfast to start our day to explore in Edinburgh . Highly recommended.

Good option before and after highlands tour.”

5-10GBP/day /bag for storing luggage at the hotel. Night staff said 5GBP/bag/day but in the morning she told 10GBP/bag/day, luckily they collected from us 5GBP/bag/day. Room was very good, bed was so comfortable, so pity we stay here only short time. Staff were helpful and willing to help, sometime when they're free, may be the other hotel did different way. The room was clean. Location is in the middle for main street, but this area, royal mile, is sooo steep, I was stunned when I got out from the train station :p

A good hotel if you want a central location in Edinburgh. Right around the corner from the Royal mile, close to tourist attractions and walking distance to the shopping centres and restaurants. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were neat and tidy, albeit on the small side.

Not worth the money!! ”

The room was too hot!! No air-conditioning, only a small fan was provided. I sick caused of heat stroke on that room. Even we opened the window but no wind cause of building blocked. No view for very high room price. Do not book this hotel!!

Pros: - Clean rooms - Good shower - Friendly staff - Located just 5-10 mins from Waverly station, and a stone's throw away from many other attractions (Royal Mile, Musuem on the Mound, National Musuem of Scotland, Edinburgh Castle) - Value for money (£47 per night, Jan 2018) Cons - Our room (Room 502) faced the front of the hotel and got noisy at night due to the pubs opposite. Light sleepers may have trouble sleeping - The buffet breakfast (not included in the room charge) was expensive (£10.45, Jan 2018) but the spread was very limited.

Nice hotel just off the center”

Room size, clean and location

Good size and clean rooms. Location just a few meters from the Royal Mile and literally 2 blocks away from Edinburgh Waverly is unbeatable. Also, lots of good and decently priced restaurants are a few blocks away.

Convenient, clean, good location”

Ibis hotel was very accessible from Edinburgh waverley station via the fisherman close for those with light luggage. If u have big luggages, it's better to walk up the winding slopes to the right. The hotel is @ the centre of sight-seeing locations such as Real Mary Kings Close, Scotland castle, National Museum, ghost tours etc. Rooms are clean and big. Staffs were welcoming, friendly and helpful. p/s: it's near halal restaurants for muslim travellers (lailas, hamam's etc.)
