The place is generally clean but abit old. Lock for the door to the balcony was spoilt. The lobby is undergoing renovation at the moment.

We liked our stay very much due to large rooms, cleaniness, view of the ocean, and quietness. We also liked the free use of washing machine and the kitchenette which allowed us to make some small meals. The biggest drawback is the location since it's a bit far from bus stop and far from restraunts. However, after few days we began to like the place very much due to quitness, view of ocean, and good value for money.

We loved our stay. The little details like the big bottle of water left in the fridge each day were greatly appreciated. The comfortable bed was a pleasant change from all the other rock hard beds we encountered in sth korea. The owner was always friendly and helpful even ensuring there were maps and brochures in the room

Living and travelling in Korea, we know a lot about hotel standards and prices. This hotel exceeded its' "get what you pay for" expectancy as far as Korean hotels are concerned. The room was beautifully spacious with easy room for 4 people. There's an extra bedroom with bedding to sleep Korean style- on the floor. We felt totally at home. It was also really clean. Every afternoon when we were gone, the staff would come and clean everything, exchanging the towels for new ones - this is not common for Korean hotels at that price - also he provided LOADS of towels everyday, so we had plenty to spare - also not a Korean thing. The owner was so helpful. There is a call button outside the doors at the bottom of the stairs. press that, no matter what time and the owner will walk over from his house to help you out. He speaks quite good English and there were no problems communicating. The night before we left, we called him to get us a taxi for 6 am to go to the airport. He called for us, and not only that, but he also called us the next day at 6 am to tell us the cab was there and to see us off. Because Seogwipo city (where the hotel is) is an hour from Jeju city (where the airport is), we thought it would be an expensive cab ride for us, but the owner just gave him a flat rate: 35,000 won (35$) which is basically nothing, especially if you are splitting it with a friend. This hotel had the perfect getaway relaxation aura to it, and well definitely be back and bringing friends on the next long weekend. It's 30-40 minutes walking to the Jungmun Beach and all the stuff in that area, which is perfect for people like us who are walkers and budget travelers. It's 20 minutes walking from a main bus stop and tourist information center. The lady at the tourist info center had great English and was super helpful telling us exactly which buses to take where and the best way to do whatever it was we wanted. Our vacation was a 10.

Pension accommodation with hotel like service”

Our stay at the Palm Hill Pension was so much more than we could have hoped for. From the moment we arrived we were greeted and spoken to in English and the owner helped carry some bags up to the third floor for us. Every morning as we headed out for the day the staff greeted us in the hallway and wished us a good day. Very polite and friendly. Rooms had lots of brochures and tourist information for guests to browse through. Rooms had wifi access and each room was serviced daily which is more characteristic of a hotel rather than a pension. We would return from a day out sightseeing to find fresh towels, beds remade with clean sheets, extra bottles of water in the refrigerator etc. Staff even went out of their way to provide extra kitchen facilities like a toaster when they saw we had bought bread. They even switched the air conditioner on for us so that the room was already cool upon our return. Can't recommend this place highly enough. Great views, good location but for those without a car you might feel a little isolated but the Jungmun Resort is not that far away. Thanks for making our Jeju experience so great

I don't think my family and could have stayed at a better place. It felt like home. The views were fantastic and the design of the hotel was fresh and modern. The owned called us to ensure we didn't get lost, which we were, I couldn't figure out how to use the Korean GPS until later. Glad he called!!! Just an overall great place to stay!!!

First ever hotel that make us feels like home!!”

Although we've booked a deluxe room with ocean view as stated, but we were given a room that facing the city. However, we didn't complain much as the hotel surroundings are quiet and serene as much as we would expect from an ocean view. Room is extremely big with a comfortable bed. The best part would be the fully functional kitchen! Complete sets of cooking utensils, cooking oil, wine glass, dishwasher, microwave, mini fridge, dining table etc. They even have noodles, seasoning oil and kimichi for free usage! To add on, everything is clean and tidy, which make us feels more comfortable to use. There is a washing machine at the end of corridor (in a specific room) which allow for free usage. It does make a big difference when you have a clean & fully functional kitchen. However, the only downside is the lack of wifi. Nevertheless, we still able to use the open wifi from other network in the room. We arrive late in the evening and there was no staffs to assist in check in. To our amaze, there was a piece of note left on the resort door and tell us to pick the key in the mailbox. No check in & out, verification or deposits required. The best part of staying in most hotels in South Korea - Check in & out is equal to picking up & dropping off the key at counter. Would definitely stay here again in the future!

Comfortable, good value, great view”

We enjoyed our stay at the Palm Hill and would recommend it to anyone who has a rental car in Jeju. The room was large and clean with a kitchenette and dining table, and even an extra room. Plus, the bed was very comfortable! By car it's about five minutes away from the Jungmun area with the big hotels, restaurants, Jungmun beach, and one of the famous waterfalls. There are big sliding glass doors that lead out to the balcony and offer a beautiful view. Just FYI, while you can see the ocean through the big sliding glass doors, it's a distance away.

Big room but a bit isolated”

I stayed at the hotel for a week. Location wise, it's pretty far off from the center of the city so moving around was difficult. Because Jeju is a very hilly place, walking around is tiring so your best bet would be to use a taxi. But make sure the taxi driver knows where he's going. Many drivers didn't know where the hotel was located and one even got lost. I ended up showing him the direction. The room itself is huge. There's even a smaller room attached. The entire place can easily fit in 4 or more people. Extra bedding (futon) were also provided. It comes with a kitchen that has a stove, microwave oven and mini fridge. Pots and pans were provided, together with plates and cutlery. Kettle and rice cooker were also provided. Free service of bottled water and orange juice were provided too. The room comes with air conditioner and heated flooring, so it was comfortable. There's no liquid soap in the bathroom. Only a half-used bar soap. So it's advisable to bring your own soap unless you don't mind sharing bar soap. Shampoo was provided though. Towels were really small (about the size of a face towel). You might want to bring your own too. Toilet might get stuck too. The owner is really quiet and you'll never see him unless you buzz him. When I asked for his recommendation on where to eat, he wasn't very helpful either. But at least he can call up the taxi company for you to take you to town. No breakfast, no WiFi and no car service. You might want to look up other places that offers all these for a cheaper price. But if you don't mind staying in a hotel where you don't see anyone, this might work for you. Personally I felt the hotel wasn't very hospitable and I probably would not stay here again.

nice hotel with good view and big room”

was upset having to drag the luggages up the stairs but the good view looking to the sea at the far distance and the ample space did calm me down. did not use the second room with tatami but that would be great for family stay or a large bunch or friends. simple and a bit wornout decor but the room was clean. the pantry was fully equipped with utensils and fridge.

Amazing ocean view!”

We thoroughly enjoyed the bright third floor room. It had all the essentials for a comfortable stay, including a kitchenette. There were plenty of bathroom towels (although small) and well supplied toiletries. We highly recommend it.

Great location”

Great location close to all the major tourist attractions on the south coast. Staff were very welcoming and provided free orange juice in the fridge (a nice small touch). Room was spacious and had ocean view (albeit distant ocean view) though still worth it. Would stay here again!

nice rooms with a big glass wall”

nice experience, and you can enjoy beautiful scenes in your rooms. we quite like the small korean room, should have a try! but the hotel is a bit far from the center of the town. you should walk 20 mins...you are supposed to take a bus, but we can not read korean at the bus stop... the hotel manager is very nice and glad to offer a hand for anything you need.
