Well-renowned for its delectable local cuisine, this hotel features a dining hall where 40 art works of an ukiyoe artist from the late Edo Period are displayed, it seems like guests are dining in an art gallery. Paintings of a famous artist and writings of a novelist are also displayed in the lobby on the 1st floor. Guests can look forward to relaxing in the indoor bath or open-air bath while listening to soothing jazz music.

The hot spring waters of Kaike Onsen are made up of sodium and calcium chloride. Mt. Daisen - Also known as Hoki Fuji, this volcano is located 20 minutes by car from Kaike Onsen. It is the tallest peak in the Chugoku region. Guests will be fascinated by Mt. Daisen's charm no matter the season, whether it's the fresh green leaves of spring, mountain climbing in summer, vivid reds and yellows of autumn or skiing in the crisp white winter world.
Mizuki Shigeru Road - a 30-minute drive from Kaike Onsen, this road is lined with bronze statues of 'yokai' (demons) that appeared in the anime Ge Ge Ge no Kitaro.
Tottori Hanakairo Flower Park - a 30-minute drive from Kaike Onsen, this flower park is home to the flowers of Japan as well as rare flowers from all over the world, the beautiful sight of which may be enjoyed all year round.
Adachi Museum of Art - a 30-minute drive from Kaike Onsen, this museum boasts a vast Japanese garden stretching over 16 hectares, which has been ranked No. 1 for 12 consecutive years by an American journal on Japanese gardens. A free shuttle bus runs from Kaike Onsen to the museum.
