Relatively cheap lodging in a safe neighbourhood”

Had a very pleasant stay at Evelyn Gardens. The room, shared toilets and shared showers were very clean and comfortable. There is a kitchen for boiling water and heating food. However, there is no cutlery. Travellers intending to use the kitchen equipment are advised to bring their own cutlery. Evelyn Gardens is 10 minutes away from the nearest Tube station making journeys to any other part of London very convenient. There are three supermarkets (24 hr Tesco, Marks & Spencer and Sainsbury) nearby making emergency/last minute shopping convenient. Although there is no restaurant/canteen in Evelyn Gardens, food is easy to find as there are many restaurants and eateries around the area.

I love this accommodation! As uni accommodation it is not only give me secure feelings but also great wifi connection, awesome share facilities and they are not commercial ! If you don't mind room without TV and looking for affordable accommodation in priciest London area, this one is perfect. Don't go to shady hotel. Also, if you work as academic, this uni accommodation will meet your expectation as it just few stones from great unis and museums

It was a bad experience ”

it was too bad experience staying at Imperial College Evelyn Gardens. i got my room at third floor .and there was no lift no kitchen around. i have to go to basemen for kitchen. There was refrigerator, microwave or electric cattle near my room. every thing was at basement. i have to go down 5 floor to get tea.

Good value for London”

It is not the Ritz but you are in London so who stays in the room 12 min walk to South Kensington underground stop. The only real negative is that they still charge for wifi and it is still only available in common room.

Everything got well,but it is not good for this hostel haven't elevator, our baggage are very heavy and they arrange the room at the top in hostel to us,it's very hard. The others got well.

The accommodation is quite hard to locate at first”

It was a good stay, but I took a quite long time to get there at the first time, because there is hardly any people who know this accommodation. After the first day, I could understand the short way to go to the station. The room and the bathroom are clean and spacious. Overall, it was not disappoint me.

Budget stay but some improvements needed”

It was budget accommodation and so you get what you pay for. We found it satisfactory and the room was large, but we were surprised that our rubbish bin was not emptied or fresh towels offered once in 5 days, and also the staff were not very knowledgable. For example, no one seemed to know where the laundry was situated! Office did not sell soap powder sachets, given the number of people staying this would be helpful. Also, the kitchen facilities were minimal, there was nothing to wash up dishes with, tea towels, or cloths to wipe benches yet you were asked to keep the kitchen clean. No cooking utensils or cutlery, that's fine but don't advertise that you have kitchen facilities!

Sort of knew what to expect. Location is good as it´s within 10 minute walk from the underground station, shops, restaurants etc. Forget about cooking or storing your own food (if you are on a budget). The fridge froze our food so we had to throw out everything in the morning. Our room was in the basement, we just probably weren´t lucky. Very simple accommodation.

Zum Glück ist London eine sehr aufregende und spannende Stadt, sodass wir in unserem Doppelzimmer nur sehr wenig Zeit verbringen mussten. Haben bisher immer nur in Hostels übernachtet und dort für wesentlich weniger Geld sogar komfortabler gewohnt. Wollten uns diesmal ein "vernünfties" Hotel gönnen und haben entsprechend tiefer in den Geldbeutel gegriffen, was sich wirklich nicht gelohnt hat! Das Personal war zu uns sehr freundlich, da kann ich also nichts negatives sagen. Die Lage ist ebenfalls relativ zentral (die nächste U-Bahn-Sation ist ca 10 min Fußweg entfernt). Unser Zimmer allerdings war eine mittelschwere Katastrophe. Ausgelegt mit einem wirklich muffeligem Teppich und ausgetsattet mit 2 sehr unbequemen Betten. Das Fenster ließ sich leider nur eineen Spalt breit öffnen, d.h. der muffelige Geruch war nicht rauszubekommen. Die Gemeisnchaftsküche war auch kein schöner Anblick, geschweigedenn einladend oder gemütlich! Habe den Fehler gemacht und den Kühlschrank geöffnet, der wohl abegschaltet war (was ich erst dann bemerkte). Da waren wir uns sehr schnell einig, dass wir diese Küche nicht benutzen würden. Die Duschen auf dem Gang waren in Ordnung, die Toiletten grenzwertig aber für 4 Tage auch ok. Das nächst Mal werden wir wohl entweder noch etwas mehr Geld ausgeben oder einfach wieder in ein Hostel einkehren (wo man für wenig Geld meist mehr geboten bekommt)
