Many thanks for all staffs of the Imperial Hotel with the great treatments. First of all , Front made my room upgrade to the imperial floor with no fee. That was so comfortable with the great view. Next , Bell boys were so kind and did the great jobs for us. And Buses were so convenient from Osaka station. They are so polite and tender. Great service and a beautiful hotel”
Everybody has been extremely attentive to providing impeccable service. Although a bit dated the hotel is warm and welcoming. Breakfast for 3,000¥ per person was slightly on the expensive side, but enjoyable. An additional plus is the shuttle service connecting with JR Station Osaka.

Lovely hotel, but very expensive facilities”
We were lucky enough to be upgraded to an Imperial Floor Superior and enjoyed the stay. However it was marred by being offered a coupon at checkin for 5500 Yen Coctails and Chocolates for the special price of 4000 Yen in their Rainbow Lounge Bar. When we went to the bar, we were only offered a limited selection from the bar menu that were less that 1700 yen each and a plate with 4 very small chocolates, two of which looked like the same complimentary chocolates left in our room. This meant the chocolates should have been over 2000 Yen without the coupon! We felt conned and as such I would not go back because of this.

I had bad experience with this hotel. Just be careful when you are using your Creditcard to pay for the hotel deposit during check in time. Instead of 10,000 yen, a100,000yen was debited from my Amex Card.

Great business hotel with impeccable service”
I stayed for one night only (business function), but still found this hotel experience remarkable. From the truly 'imperial' lobby to the very nicely furnished hotel rooms and the impeccable service: the Imperial Hotel Osaka lives up to it's grand name. Hotel rooms can be quite small in Japan (even in luxury hotels), but the Imperial Hotel does not only offer very spacious rooms but also extremely good-sized bathrooms. The decor is somewhat more on the 'plush' side (it's the Imperial Hotel, right!), but the rooms do offer all necessary technical gizmos at top notch standard (flat screen tv/dvd system, broadband internet connection, room control panel on the night stands and high tech reading lights). The beds are comfortable and the rooms are very clean. Try to stay in a room with river view: if you are on a higher floor, the view on the river is simply breathtaking. I also got to experience the lower lobby restaurant as well as in house catering services in one of the ball rooms overlooking the river. The food and service were impeccable. Due to an early flight out of Kansai airport, I had to order in room breakfast service (comes at a price!). The food came exactly the minute I had ordered it, and was of very high quality. Another plus is the friendliness of the staff (they go out of the way to explain the hotel room features to you, give recommendations for good restaurants and all are simply a delight to encounter. Imperial Hotel Osaka makes you feel welcome from check-in time to check-out. The only slight downside is the location of the Imperial Hotel: it is quite far from the center of the city, and connections to the Kansai airport are a bit tricky (you need to take a taxi to the central Osaka bus terminal, then take an airport bus for reaching the airport, which took me around 90 minutes in total). For a business stay, the Imperial Hotel is a delight to stay in and definitively one of the friendliest hotels I have encountered in Japan. If you like to

Fantastic Hotel! ”
We had a great time at Imperial Hotel Osaka. The accommodation is definitely 5-star with all the amenities. Location is not in the tourist area of the city, but it is in a serene and beautiful location right beside the river. One can very easily go to all the important places within the city, as the shuttle bus to Osaka station (where one can connect to all the places within and outside the city) leaves and returns every 10 minutes, the whole day until 9pm. The nearest subway station is also just 15mins walk from the hotel. The hotel staff are very polite and accommodating, and speaks English very well. The various hotel restaurants are well appointed and serve different kinds of food, although a bit pricey as expected of all 5-star hotels. There are some food outlets nearby for those who wish to eat outside, as well as 7-11 and Lawson groceries open 24 hours just right beside and across the hotel. All in all, we had a nice stay at Imperial Hotel and really enjoyed our vacation. We will definitely choose this hotel when we go back to Osaka.
