A traditional Japanese house in central Beppu”
We loved staying in this traditional Japanese guesthouse. When I booked, I had no idea that we will have the whole house to ourselves! It was an incredible experience and probably our favourite stay for our holiday in Kyushu. I wish we'd stayed much longer and not just two nights, as you can also easily explore many nearby places from Beppu by car. Sleeping on the futons on tatami was very comfortable and the location was perfect, as it was just a 2 minute walk from Starbucks and Beppu Park and just 5-10 minutes to all the restaurants and lively areas. At night it was quiet and calm. I would love to stay again, maybe next time with a few more friends!

Greatest Experience ”
In Bloom Beppu is probably the greatest experience we had when staying in Kyushu this time. The traditional Japanese architecture, is historic, delicate, and definitely worth to explore if you are tired with formal hotels/guest houses. To me it is also a wonderful experience to stay here since the manager Junya-san is so nice and enthusiastic. Don't worry about communication, cause Junya speaks hell-fluent English and is willing to take care of any of your queries. (He even helped me with purchasing tickets for a baseball game that I'm longing to go). I will definitely recommend this place to people who wants to experience their travelling in Japan in a different way.

2 fantastic days in Beppu”
Fantastic experience: - great location, even for people like us that were using public transportation: in a residential area at 5 min walk from the station and very close to Beppu park (currently literally in bloom) - traditional house, with original wood, tatami mats and screens ... and spacious rooms (it does make a difference when traveling with kids), - even more importantly, an exceptional and passionate host that made our staying really special, including showing us around with his car and giving us a glimpse of spots we would have not discovered on our own. Fantastic”
In Bloom Beppu is much more than just lodging and this has a lot to do with the host Junya-san. First it’s a real house from the 40s which is very richly decorated in the traditional Japanese style. Staying in this type of house is quite a rare opportunity in Japan where everything is constantly demolished and rebuilt. Then there is Junya-san’s passion about Beppu and sharing his knowledge of the city with his guests. He kindly showed me around for one day and also made some great recommendations. Highly recommend.

We had a delightful stay at In Bloom Beppu. We were welcomed by our host, the charismatic Hanada Junya san, who introduced us to his thoughtfully restored traditional 80 year old Japanese villa in the heart of Beppu. We spent about 2 hours in relaxed conversation with Junya san, where he easily conversed in both Japanese and English. His knowledge of Beppu is superb, and he even walked us to our restaurant. We would thoroughly recommend anyone thinking of visiting Beppu to stay at In Bloom

Beautiful traditional house in a great location within walking distance. Junya our host was charming and great fun. We had a wonderful time with him who did everything possible to make our stay memorable. It was my wife's birthday and he organised an evening for us, even bought a beautiful bouquet of flowers and we spent an unforgettable evening of Japanese rock and roll with him and his friends. Owner is fabulous!!! All of his recommendations paned out from food to sightseeing. Only draw back was the wind and something metal banging out side. If u r looking for unique, guest house style vs corporate hotel chain, you will love this place - it is full of charm☺️

Heart-warming experience”
We stayed for 2 nights at In Bloom Beppu. Throughout our stay the host would go to any lengths to make the most of our stay in the beautiful onsen town. As our guide he showed more of the town than just the common tourist spots and guided us through the onsen etiquette. The property is an exceptionally beautiful traditional house with an interesting history. Toshiko attended to me while Junya the owner was away. Being a solo traveller Toshiko made sure I was well taken care of. She made good recommendations for places to go and even gave me rides. Both Toshiko and Junya genuinely love Beppu to bits and I was glad to stay at this beautiful traditional house.

I have visited Japan 4 times, but 'In bloom Beppu' is best Hotel among my list. This guesthouse is located around Beppu station(3 minute on foot), and have antique atmosphere because of it is established of 1941 who was richer in Japan. Moreover guesthouse is well-handled by host, it is always contiuned clean state. Especilly, Mr. Hanada, who is host of this guestroom, give amazing impression to our family. He is very kindly and loves Beppu. I will always recommend to my friends who want go to Beppu, in Kyushu.

One of the Best Accommodations in Beppu ”
Let me say at first that I have never experienced such great staying before. I love Japanese traditional house like In Bloom Beppu, it's like "Back-In-Time" experience. It's built in 77 years ago but it's not like just an old house, I could feel like I was sitting and spending time at the time 1941. Not only is building great, but also the owner is. The service, heart-warming consideration, hospitality is scored 100 out of 100! You will be fully satisfied for sure, I guarantee it. I've never met person like him. I stayed with my girlfriend for a night and that was one of the best stay ever. I cannot write all the things here but I highly recommend this place!!!
