Room was ok, location was ok”

for whom stayed at Intercontinental in Asia: this is not even close to the standard! However considering I am in Almaty - there is no other choice to stay here. Next time, i am planning to check out Rixos - i heard it is a bit better!

The staff are all very friendly, exactly the standard that one would expect from an Euro-Asian hotel accommodation. The check-in was very friendly and fast, it was clear that they were prepared for the arrival, and had all details available. The escort to the room was friendly and very much appreciated. The stay at Intercontinental Almaty Hotel has been a very excellent stay as always before. The location is so very suitable for a close transit, and still enjoying the quality hospitality of a good hotel. It will not be a very difficult decision in future if there is a need for a transit hotel accommodation again. Without any doubt. The food available in the room as room service has a broad range of choices, and they deliver in a very short time. the taste and presentation was absolutely value for money. And after the meal everything was taken away from the room and all left clean and orderly in the room.

despite the hiccups from the flight and weather, finally reach almaty and checked in to the hotel. arranged for a airport pickup and the fee is on the high side consider that most hotel provide the service for about. this cost about per trip. and the concierge was not really helpful and prompt in replying emails. we were left unsure whether will there be someone to pick us up from the airport. other than that, the rooms were ok

everybody was not smiling and the concierge was not really helpful; relying emails. service and welcome is just not there!!! they really need to work on it! this is five star hotel. location wise it is considered very center of almaty, but in order to get taxi you need to walk to the road and get taxi - that is a bit odd!!! entrance they do not let taxis in!

Hotel is prompt in replying and of course as recommended one of the best hotel in Almaty. Will stay there the next time I head to Almaty. Highly recommended for business travellers.

Very good hotel. The location is good, it surpassed my expectations for the trip. Nice gym, pool, breakfast and dinner. Excellent and friendly staff, rooms are small but surely one of the best business hotels in Almaty.

Exceptional”

Hotel staff were really friendly and hospitable. Amazing people. Everything was almost perfect, for me. Definitely, I would always come to this hotel whenever I would visit Kazakhstan!

Short Break”

Beds are comfortable so we got good sleep and staff are nice and accommodating but the hotel is outdated and doesn't feel fresh- dirty carpets and curtains. I'm not demanding the complete change over but at least places like SPA and the pool area. Could do with refreshing murals and enhancing general hygiene of SPA, gym and changing rooms. Showers smell badly and gym literally stinks during peak hours as there is not even one window to open. SPA showers should be separate for men and women as I came across men blowing dirt from their noses under shared showers while I was waiting outside to use it after the sauna- disgusting. Perhaps staff could monitor a bit more and correct the guests who do not know how to use such facilities... I attended few brunches at the Intercon. before and I always had positive experience. Unfortunately, the quality of food/ cooking went down the hill- it's tasteless and uninspiring.

What to expect from a 5 star hotel? This lives up to the stars and the cleanliness and convenience is great. The staff here are also helpful in booking taxis and offering food options within the hotel.

The Bed Mattre is a little bit soft, so as the pillow. The Breakfast veriety sellection are quite limited.
