Very clean, friendly staff, convenient location to Downtown Beppu. Buses and train add less than 2 minutes away. Shops and restaurants very close. Rooms are very clean. Hot tea set up in your room everyday. Perfect japanese experience.

i was staying in there for 1 nite, the location is great and near by the beppu station, just take less than 7 mins walk. staff is also nice and helpful always too. traditional room with private/ public room too. the public bathroom is not really clean but still ok. reasonable price with a private room with hot spring.

Great location, value for money, and there's a hot spring, facilities are rather old, cant expect more for the price paid, i stayed for 1 night and its fine, i would not want to stay for longer though. The lady at front desk speaks very limited English but we can understand each other for basic needs so good enough.

Pros: near station, within walking distance of front, lovely staff, nice room and onsen for your parties private use Cons: traditional japanse inn which I classed as a pro but may not be to some people's taste.

The Hotel is walking distance to the railway station, location is wonderful but the facilities is pretty old. It was comfortable and the lady in the hotel is very friendly but speaks very little English.

An antique Japanese hostel”

It should be a hostel rather than hotel. It's an old Japanese style hostel, sleep in tatami and Japanese style furniture, quite good to experience it. No ramp for taking luggage upstairs. And it would be better if adding shampoo and shower gel in room rather than hot spring area. And there is lack of hot water when bathing in hot spring and room.

what a beauty. Lovely lady in reception and a homely atmosphere created by the friendly and helpful owner. The private onsen was a bonus as was the use of the dining area. thanks for a memorable stay.

Staff understands enough english to make your stay comfortable and pleasant. Very friendly. Stayed here on 3 different occasions. Enjoyed my stay every time.
