The location was really good, it was just afew minute walk from Toyama station. The place was really clean and comfy. Staff were good in english. Kitchen was equipped with basic needs. The only downside is that there was no elevator, but the guy in the reception was really helpful carrying our huge luggages. Will recommend Iruka and will definitely stay here again.

It's hidden, thru a glass doorway on the far end of a big hotel, look for the clear signs indicating its entrance! Iruka is a gem of a place that images don't portray.

If you are travelling to Toyama and looking for a cheap and affordable hostel, this is the right place for you. The hostel is just a few minutes walking distance from Toyama Station. Initially it is hard to find as the entrance is at the side of the building instead of the main glass door. Hostel is located at level 2 so you have to climb the stairs with your belongings. The hostel has a room for communal bonding and toilets were shared- amenities were sufficient. Got a bed in mixed dorm and everything else was great. Staff is very good in english and was extremely helpful to assist me in all my queries.

Worth the money”
Missed my train so I had to put up a night in Toyama. The information desk staff said there were no hostels around Toyama, only hotels. Glad I didn’t listen to him, or else I wouldn’t find this gem. This place is only about 400m from the station, cross the main street and walk straight 400m its on your right. They only have a small stand board outside so look carefully. The bed is spacious and covered up with curtains so you get your private space although it is a shared dorm. Bathroom design is amazing! This hostel is definitely in my list for the next trip!

Good location but somehow on google it shows a longer path than it’s supposed to be. It’s only 4 to 5 mins walking from the Toyama station, but google showed me a different route that ended up taking me 15-20 minutes the first time I walked to the place, really strange. I like the public space and the kitchen, it’s a chillaxing place. I absolutely love that they have many mangas and books for reading. There’s one thing that i do not like is that there are too many beds in one dorm room, and i guess someone in my room has a bad stomach the night I stayed as I remember waking up in the middle of the night to the smell of stomach acid. But the place is quite nice :)

The hostel is so beautiful with all the latest amenities. The owner is so friendly and will help you with whatever travel plans you have, and it’s located near the train station and the really cool waterfront area of Toyama. Great stay

I don't know if it's because there are few hostels in Toyama but I think the price is a bit high. The facilities were pretty complete and the staff was nice though. There are no lifts, you must bring your luggage to the second floor (the hostel) by yourself. Overall recommended.

Near Toyama Station and Kansui Park”
Stayed here because I will be going to the Alpine Route the following day. Walked to Toyama Station and was able to catch the first train to Tateyama. They also gave me free tram tickets.

The price not as cheap if compared to others hostel, but the location itself is strategic, it just nearby the kansui park. Plus i got the free tourist ticket (2 ride) for in toyama sightseeing train.

No elevator. When I came to this hostel (around 11 am) there wasn't any staff and we had no idea what to do . I checked email, no instruction. For if on specific time there was no any staff please inform us what to do when we arrive

Everything was good for me, location was quite near to the main train station, accom was very clean. the only con was that probably the stairs to the upper bunk were a tad narrow... Im skinny and still find it a little narrow for me.

First of all, there is no lift, so get ready to carry your own luggage and climb 2 floor up. Bed is clean, comfort, toilet and bathroom are shared among male and female, but so far, it's clean.
