Only thing from a westerners perspective is the hotel is a little older and allowed smoking throughout all rooms in the past. Although there is non smoking now there is still an after smell which might not be ideal for some. Staff and overall were awesome!

Exceptional”
Although the room looks old but I like that there was a music switch with continuous English songs. The bed was comfortable and amenities was good; however I wish that the air conditioning can be controlled as I found the room was too warm (old switch button with low, medium & high). Buffet breakfast was good. We will stay in this hotel again in future.

Pros: Inexpensive, clean room in a good location near by Isezakichojamachi subway station. Very helpful and friendly stuff. Cons: Even though my room was a non-smoke room, I smelled tobacco in the room, hallway and elevators.

It was actually my second time to book here. It was very convenient as it is located just above the subway Isezaki-chojamachi station. It is also few blocks away from the shopping street. Will book here again in the future because of convenience.

Great location with phenomenal breakfast”
If I had known the area around the hotel I'd have appreciated the location even more; if you can tolerate walking, majority of the main tourism spots are in walking distance and don't even need a transportation. Great hotel stuff who went extra miles to ensure our request for the non-smoking room with NO residual odor of tabocco is met. Breakfast buffet was phenomenal, catered to please both Asian and Westerner guests' taste. For the price, I believe I found a good deal.

Cheap hotel facilities but expensive ”
The receptionist asked me to pay on top of the prepaid by credit card which was rediculous. The bathroom wasn’t clean - smoking floor smells cigaretts and the room too hot and no venturation. Very uncomfortable.

Smoking smell in Non smoking room.”
This hotel is near to station but parking is very inconvenient. Rooms size is too small hardly have a space to keep your bag even. Very old furniture needs change. Too much smoking smell in Non smoking rooms.

We requested a non smoking twin room”
When we arrived at the hotel the front desk staff advised that non smoking twin was not available on all the days of our stay. She showed us a smoking twin room. The smell of stale smoke pervaded the entire floor. We had to decline as my son suffers with asthma. We accepted the proposal to move to a non smoking twin when the days were available. The reception staff wanted to charge an extra JPY1000 per day. I asked her to check this with the manager who was nearby. The Manager called Muto claimed he was the general manager of the hotel. First he refused even to speak to us saying he did not speak English. Then he bluntly and rudely refused our request telling us to contact our agent. The booking was made via Agoda. He refused any refund and his manner completely lacked any kind of customer service. He then turned and attended to a Japanese customer in a very polite and subservient manner. This is the first time I have experienced such racism in Japan. Muto is not suitable for Manager

Value-for-money Hotel near Isezakicho Station”
We chose to stay at Yokohama Isezakicho Washington hotel when we visited Yokohama for one simple reason - hotel rate is affordable and it's located right next to the Isezakicho subway station. The room is small as expected but still could accommodate two adults with 2 trolly luggages. The only setback is the soft bed. The real plus point about the room is the free Wi-Fi access. The hotel was full on the day we checked-in, hence we couldn't get a non-smoking room. The hotel staff can understand basic English and was very helpful.

Definitely worth another stay. Great room, great staff, great hotel overall. Next time I stay in Japan I will be booking my stay with the Isesakicho Washington Hotel Yokohama, regardless of the rates. Staff is very well versed in the surrounding area, has no problem trying to work through language barriers and are patient in dealing with any type of customer.

Best start to the holiday - cosy and luxurious”
the hotel is very easy to find, and is marked on the map outside of kannai station (and is hard to miss once you get near!), and is only a 5-10 minute walk from the station. we arrived early to the hotel but the staff were very friendly and professional and let us wait in the common area. the room was brilliant, very clean and featured a double bed, two chairs and a coffee table. it was useful to help us organise our upcoming holiday! the area is nice, it is near yokohama baseball stadium and a half hour walk from the landmark plaza, while not in central yokohama i found it to be a very nice area to explore. everything you could possibly need is provided for an overnight stay. the hotel advertises itself as a business hotel but it is just as suitable for affordable luxury when you're on holiday!

Isesakicho Washington Hotel”
The washington hotel was within walking distance of entrance to china town. Parking provided at hotel allowed conveniency to customers. Surrounding areas had large variety of restaurants and shops. Nightime entertainment was within walking distance. Would recommend this location to anybody desiring sightseeing in yokohama. Front desk service offered were excellent. Rooms were well kept and clean.

Convenient location, almost attached to the subway station, named "Isezaki-chojamachi". Just a few minutes from Yokohama's famous Isezakicho shopping mall. 5 minutes by a cab or 15-20 min walk to China town. Room size is small but not too small. Clean and comfortable. About 5 stops to the Yokohama station by subway, less than 10 min.

Internet access in the lobby, friendly english speaking staff, maps of Yokohama are free, and there is a convenience store in the lobby of the hotel as well. VERY nice place - very clean and good water pressure - very hot water - dont burn yourself!!! The subway is right outside the entrance of the hotel - take 2 stops and you are downtown Yokohama - right by the shops and the Pacifico Yokohama. Or take a taxi and it will cost you about 770 yen. Overall I recommend this place and will stay there again next year. Thanks for helping me with the computer!
