"Probably one of our highlights of our trip. Beautiful boat, good rooms with private deck which was so nice. Amazing views, just wish we had more time and spent longer as we only did 1 night. The floating village is amazing to see and be rowed around by a local. All pricing on board is in American dollars and they add 15% on top. I highly recommend victory star and it was definetly one of the best looking boats we saw especially as some don't even have decks. "

"Enjoyed our time with era cruise! The service was impeccable. We booked a terrace suite and it was amazing. The staff (jimmy, lucky and crew) were extremely welcoming and ensured that we were well taken of throughout the whole duration. Not to mention how sweet the crew were. It was my birthday and they bought a cake for me and celebrated for me during dinner time. Was extremely touched at the sweet gesture. (I did not pay for any extra service at all so the cake gesture was entirely paid for by era cruise). The crew is always willing to go the extra mile for their customers on board. Definitely will sail with era cruise again when I return to Halong Bay. Thanks for the amazing experience!"

"Good location if you want to stay in Hon Gai (part of Halong where most of the locals live, contrary to the hotel town of Bai Cay), next to a local market and the bay, very nice hotel room, very clean, worth the money"

"From the time of the booking till the end of the trip, we were highly pleased with their professional and high touch service. On the day of our cruise, we were promptly picked up from our hotel in the Old Quarter. Around 12 noon, we were warmly greeted and were taken to the tender to be transferred to the ship. When we reached our cabin, our luggage was ready at the door. Mr. Thomas re-checked our dietary requirements, before starting our lunch service. Food was of very good quality. For the most part of two days, we hardly saw other cruise ships along our sailing routes. The highlight of our trip was the private dinner they arranged for the two of us. In the morning, they had Tai Chi demonstration on the sun-deck. Thereafter, we went on an excursion to a cave with a view point. Thereafter, we checked out of our room, and were served brunch. We were transferred back to the harbor, and by limousine back to Hanoi. They were highly professional in all of their interactions!"

"We booked a 50sqm suite for family of 3. Was told by Oriental to pay additional USD130 directly to hotel for my son staying in same room without any extra bed. It was really costly but we hv little choice as we prepaid Agoda. We hv a big balcony with a spa bed and jaccuzi in the bathroom which are not practical since most time we were out. The program is tight we were only given 45 min to do kayaking etc. The meals menu were good thanks to the chef but we need to pay for our drinks. Only empty glasses were provided for guests to buy drinks from the drink menu. Not even drinking water was provided during meal time. This makes it necessary for guests to buy their own drinks. The crew & tour gude Long were friendly and helpful. Overall, it was expensive cruise, not worth the money spent. "
