Capsule Hotel Anshin Oyado Premier Tokyo Shinjuku Station
Shinjuku,Shinjuku - View on map"By far, this is the best capsule hotel I stayed while traveling aroung Japan. It's located right next to JR Shinjuku station. There are lots of restaurants, cafés and shops around.
It provides you with free breakfast service from 6:30 to 10:00 am (unlimited onigiris and free flowing bevarages throughout the day) Even though it's coffee is from a machine, it's nice, strong and flavourful. They also have lots of amenities: Variety of shampoos, body wash, conditioners, mouthwash, deodorant, hair wax, hair tonic... And they're all included.
The only con/inconvenient is that as in every capsule hotel, you keep your luggage in a different area.
Other than that, Anshin Oyado Shinjuku is a MUST if you are in Tokyo. 100% recommended."

Shinjuku City Hotel N.U.T.S Tokyo
Shinjuku,Shinjuku - View on map"We were extremely happy with the location of Hotel New Urban Time and Space. It is in Shinjuku-ku the villagey area of Shinjuku, just out of the action enough for you to relax and witness Japanese urban lifestyle, but close enough for you to walk to (and crawl home from) the heart of the crazy shopping and nightlife action in about 10 mins.
The room is small (I've heard that's common all over Japan) but not uncomfortably so, as the bathroom is suprisingly roomy with a large open area shower and has a bath with spa jets. Also at the time of our travel this was the cheapest hotel we could find in Shinjuku and we were pleasantly suprised by the comfort and features of our room which include: super fast wireless internet (if you have your own laptop - or there are pc's on floor 7), fridge and separate mini bar, TV with local and pay channels, control panel above bed for lighting, radio, air con, ventilation, and clock.
They ask you to drop off the keys to the room to reception (24 hour reception) which we found to be a great system because not only do you not have to worry about losing the keys but this also enables the staff to clean the room when they know that you are out- this means no annoying knocks on the door from cleaners when you are resting.
Not all staff speak english so it would be helpful to learn some standard hotel related phrases. Having said that, we knew about three Japanese words at the time of travel and were able to communicate quite easily.
My parter and I are more than happy recommend Hotel N.U.T.S (great name) and we are already planning a return trip. It is particularly accommodating for those on a tight budget but don't want to dorm it.
Also as a gay couple we found the staff to be very friendly and accepting of same sex couple guests. There was no issue with us staying in a double room and at no time did we feel awkward or weird.

Super Hotel Shinjuku Kabukicho
Shinjuku,Shinjuku - View on map"This place is fantastic! Clean, modern rooms with comfortable, large beds. Just a 10 minute walk from Shinjuku JR Station, and 3 minute walk from Seibu-Shinjuku station. The hotel offers free buffet breakfast every morning with a great range of food options. The Super Hotel also has great laundry facilities (only 100 Yen to use the washing machines, the washing powder and dryers are complimentary). Above all, the staff are just wonderful. They make such a huge effort to help wherever they can, and always greet you with a friendly smile. This was my 7th visit to Shinjuku, and best hotel I've experienced by far. "

HOTEL PERRIER (Adult Only)
Shinjuku,Shinjuku - View on map"We stayed for 3 nights and we were greated by the friendliest staff member(From the Philippians, whos English is fantastic) and a bottle of Champagne in the fridge and gifts. The room was so well appointed with the mod concerns like fridge amongst others and copious amounts of skin and bath products . Talking about baths it had a amazing big Jacuzzi bath for two and a TV. Room was a little hot cause controlling the air acc was difficult but a open window sorts out that problem and the bed was a little too hard for our liking but normal by Japanese standard's. The location is also good only a 10 min walk to Shinjuku station and close to the action and the Golden Gai. Would highly recommend it .

Didn’t turn the tv on once so can’t answer anything on that. Was there for Rugby World Cup 2019"
