Great stay here with my dogs”

Great location over Praia piscina, my favorite beach in the south. The staff there treated my dogs nicely with good care. The electricity is not 24h available, but they use a generator when you need it, like charging your phone. I'll stay there next time.

Amazing Beach Spot”

The most amazing thing about Jalé is the beach at the front porch and all the workers that are super nice and always ready to help. Very good food by Fernanda and Edite. :)
The houses are falling apart, it rains inside and everything is basically root and not cared at all. It is very sad to seeing that because the place is really amazing and could be very good with a little care.

the best thing was Fernanda, she is the soul of this place. You cannot feel more on vacation like here, the sea is a few meters away with no outside distractions.
it might get a bit hot during the night since there is not electricity to power fans.

humble, peaceful bungalow on Jale beach.”

Location right on the shore of Jale beach. Also a short drive to Lago Piscina. Three quiet/humble bungalows next to each other. Clean beach, area where tortoises come to lay and hatch. The staff come and wake you up at night if you want to part take in watching the tortoises. So bring a torch with red light not white for tortoise spotting at night with a guide. Peaceful at night and day, we had the entire beach to ourselves. Go to sleep listening to the ocean. Kimilson the chef/host was amazing, he cooked local dishes for us every night, octopus with rice, fish with potatoes and chicken with spaghetti. And breakfast every morning. His cooking was delicious and always delivered with care and lovely service. He was always so helpful during our stay. Thank you Kimilson.

Amazing location alone in front of the ocean”

The location on the beach is amazing! We also liked all the candles that you could lit at night in the room. We stayed 3 nights and really enjoyed the walks in the areas going from beach to beach. We roamed around the island and the south is really the part that we enjoyed the most.
The food was quite expensive and really not amazing (rice + fish every evening but no sauce or nothing to accompany it and it costs 10 euros). The staff didn't speak a single word of English or French so it was quite difficult for us to communicate.

Very friendly staff, good breakfast and dinner. Amazing location just a few steps from the ocean, could listen to the waves from bed. Had a mosquito net.
The bathroom wasn't very clean nor were the towels, there was only electricity from 17-22 and no wifi. However they were very accommodating of our requests.

The staff was amazingly welcoming and helpful. The food, although simple, was tasty and prepared with care. The beach was pristine. We saw some turtles laying their eggs right next to the bungalow. They kindly let us shorten our stay when our daughter got sick and we really needed to upgrade, so we're very appreciative of that.
We were travelling as a family with a 1.5 year-old, so this level of comfort was just too rough for us. We were attacked by mosquitos and the net above the bed was so badly designed it kept falling onto us and we were bitten regardless. The bungalow was very basic and the nets on the windows couldn't keep the mosquitos out, so after dark, all we could do was to take shelter under the net on the bed, which just didn't work with a small child who wants to be moving around constantly. The fact that there was no fan was really challenging and the room was so hot and stuffy that we couldn't sleep properly. There was nowhere to hang out, whether in the bungalow on in the main dining area. The sea was really beautiful but the waves were too powerful to swim safely or paddle with a baby. Clearly, had we been childless, it would have been easier, but the facilities would still have been very basic. The staff doesn't speak anything other than Portugese, so it was difficult to communicate.

The location is great, and the lady in the kitchen - Fernanda - is an excellent cook.
Owner didn't acknowledge full booking details, tried to give us as family of 5, 1 room instead of the 2 rooms we booked. There was no electricity in the rooms, no running hot water, no ability to charge any device. I would have accepted this for far less money, not for what they charged.

the location right on the beach is very nice and the breakfast was good - coffee, pastries, fried eggs and bread and jam.
This is a very basic accommodation but is not priced to reflect this at all. There is no hot water, broken shower, limited electricity, a terribly hot and enclosed dining area, no towels, mosquito net that doesn’t fit the bed. Thats ok for some customers if the price is right and it isn’t. I paid similar amounts in much, much better places during my stay. There really is nothing to recommend this place at the current prices and the descriptions of it that I have read don’t really reflect how basic it is and zero value for money.

No rags the towel were old , no electricity, restaurant didn’t had food , no drink they had to send somebody to buy it when we arrived . The food where very pricey . The road to get there was appoling , I think everyone should know about the road it’s need a big repair and inpriviment , no cars can get there safe
