Hey Pleasant stay in the most part except when they have government conferences and workers attending... they are very undisciplined, smoking in the hallways and gathering outside of their rooms, loudly talking for hours on end.... Other than that... Staff and management alike went out of their way to make it as pleasant as possible... Many thanks to Natasha, Mary and Theresa very professional and helpful... their English and communication skills are wonderful.. very happy to get to know them all... Steak Filipino or Tagalog is a recommended must on rice... People in this city are wonderful and friendly don't be discouraged by any negative news about the city... I felt safe day and night walking the city but there are no taxis in it you've got to contact management and arrange for their shuttle to pick you up... it is free, air conditioned and friendly driver... Oh rooms are very big, old but huge... Rice is defiantly within the right or better parameters.. one last thing... No one knows it by Jardin de La Vina Hotel.... it is know simply as La Vina Hotel.. 2 thumbs up for this hotel although it is old but comfortable

1 week turned into 4 weeks SO Cheap I'll be back”
I arrived at about 1 am on the 16th of march with my Fiancee and the greeting even at that early hour was considering the early hour Pretty Dam Great ! The original room I had booked by mistake was a twin bed HUGE Room ! Anyway after the first couple of days we requested a change to a room with a double bed and was moved upstairs to the Matramonial sweet Same size room HUGE at least 25 feet by 17 feet ! 16 steps by 10 steps and I am 6 foot + tall ! The bathrooms are more than big enough for 2 people to do their own thing at the same time LOL, Staff are always courtius I have never been called Sir so much in my life ! The rooftop restraunt is AWESOME although the lack of western menue items such as Steak is only a slight problem. Overall I rate the De la vina hotel as it is called in zamboanga 9.7 out of 10 I WILL BE BACK !

the staff were friendly and accommodating. food at their restaurant was decent for the price, and service was prompt. the room is super spacious; it could easily fit in another king-sized bed. the long console which serves as dresser could also be your work area or dining area, although they have a small wood table provided for that as well. this is my hotel of choice in Zamboanga City.

The best low cost hotel in Zamboanga City”
I enjoyed my stay in Zamboanga City because of my nice accommodation. I was able to sleep well because the room was so spacious, the bed is big and the aircon is not noisy. I would also like to thank the receptionists for entertaining my questions about Zamboanga City and for recommending Malamawi White Beach.

The building is quite aging but rooms are huge, clean, well-maintained. Staff are nice and friendly. Few steps to ADZU, Cathedral, and pueblo. Value for money. A Good place to stay at the heart of Zamboanga City.

The poor facilities were covered by the excellent customer service of the staff. I was a solo-traveller and I just had my nephews stayed in my room. We were all treated and accommodated well and I truly appreciate that. I highly recommend this hotel to those who are looking into visiting Zamboanga City. Perfect location!

Value for Money”
The hotel is at the city center which makes it easier to move around the city. I was surprised that the room is sooooooo huge. The bed is huge and its just spacious. The building is quite old but the room is OK well maintained. Staff are nice they accommodated all our requests. We went to Sulu for 2 days ang left somce of our bags as we cant carry them around in Sulu and they agreed. Super nice staff. Highly recommended.

Underrated Hotel in Zamboanga”
Our stay was surprisingly pleasant and I think this hotel is underrated in terms of the quality, comfort and value for money. Although we had to rely on our mobile maps to locate the building, its location is conveniently located in the heart of the city and less than 10 minutes from the airport and accessible to public transport. They are using key cards, they have their own restaurant and other toiletries are also available. Rooms have flatscreen TVs. Although it is located from 4th to 6th floor, they have elevators+operator and security guard. We will definitely recommend this in our blog and to friends. Must try!

Huge room with good price”
We arrived at 1800hrs but unfortunately the room is not ready yet and then they can't provide us with the room we booked (matrimonial / double bed), the only room available after we waited for 20 minutes was a twin room. Since it's only for 1 night and we are already tired from the journey, we just accept the room. The room is huge compare to the price we paid. It is a basic room with no toiletries provided (They only place 1 small bar soap which is not in wrap and 1 small pack of shampoo and 1 small pack of conditioner (for 1 time use)). The bed was okay and they only provide 1 pillow each. No additional pillow available. The towel I would say rather small. Just enough to wrap a small Asian size body. It is also look very worn out. The hotel had a blackout quite frequently. From the time we arrived at 1800hrs until we left the room at 2000hrs for dinner there are 2 blackouts. Then when we are back around 2200hrs till I fall asleep there are another 2 blackouts. However, the hotel has their own back-up generator. The electricity will be reconnected within seconds. Staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is not right at the heart of Zamboanga City but it is a walking distance to malls, restaurant and ferry terminal (Ferry terminal is about 1km walking distance from the hotel). After dark most of the surrounding shop is closed but there is 1 internet cafe and a small cafe under the hotel which open until 2200hrs. The hotel also provide a free airport transfer.

Value for money for a centrally-located hotel in the city proper”
My mom and I spent four nights in this hotel and we're satisfied with the services and facilities of the hotel. The Superior Room was spacious and well maintained. Their room rates are quite a bargain and are by far the best I have seen in Agoda. Hotel staff are courteous and attentive. Hotel food is quite good and reasonably priced. The hotel, however, could consider having a water heater for their shower, basic toiletries (i.e. soap, shampoo, and toothpaste, for its guests. But overall, it really is a decent hotel that is well-maintained and secured with helpful staff.

Good clean updated facility, good staff, good security, good food & affordable. Very nice roof top dining area. Not 1 ant, period. Never mind all else. Garden orchid even has some ants... Don't stay on 6th floor though if you want to sleep in... I will be returning as it is my hotel in Zamboanga from now until the end, as all others have failed badly. Will be coming back on a yearly basis, just hope it stays that way Mr Paris USA

Exceptional”
Great location at the city center. Rooms are wide and clean with cable tv, good functioning aircon, clean toilet & bath with heater. Honestly, the rooms in the picture looks creepy maybe because it's dark, but in reality, you'll be amazed. They have very accommodating staff. It's more than the expectation and it's very worth it.

Big space for the price I paid. Will absolutely book here again if I had to go back to Zamboanga. Tv and AC worked great. Plumbing was not an issue. There was toilet paper and a towel provided. My only complaint is the shower that had 2 settings: freezing and scorching. Their restaurant serves food fast. Prices are reasonable and the quality is okay. This hotel does not have wi-fi but my phone had good LTE signal from where we were located. The hotel is a good 10 minute walk to downtown. You can take a jeep from the hotel to the airport. Tricycles and motorcycles are also an option. As for the staff, those on the night shift were so nice and accomodating. Can’t say the same for the people in the morning shift. The receptionist asked me to sign a blank piece of paper and didn’t explain what it was for. When i asked her why, she shrugged off my question and dismissively said it’s for the accommodation.

Will be coming back again”
Overall, okay for the budget that I have. Except for some probs with hotel pickup due to delay in our flight arrival, the hotel staff managed to make up for it by extending flexibility to my personal requests (very important to me). The hotel is quite old but clean; And even when I arrive late at night after partying at Paseo del Mar, security people were alert of my arrival.
