All you could ever want ”
Amazing little hostel. No wonder it has branches all over Japan. Check in was a breeze. The room was small (to be expected) but clean. Toilet was your typical Japanese toilet, more than adequate. Towels provided. Location was great. Within walking distance to everything. Try Jackson’s curry and burger at Centre4 Burger. Kitchen looked adequately stocked (did not cook) and a washer and dryer was very much appreciated.

Excellent Staff”
The staff is very friendly, kind and knowledgeable about the surrounding. They can speak good English that enable you communicate on the questions that we ask and provide advise. The lounge is cosy and the kitchen is so neat and clean. It is very convenient to go around Takayama. Will definitely book the same hostel in other country and recommend to friends.

A Comfy Family Shelter”
My young family were here in the dead of winter and crammed into a room meant for three adults. That said, the place still had a warm and comfy and never once did we feel restricted in any way. The beds were large and sturdy and the room came with its own shower and toilet, all of which were in excellent condition. Other shared facilities, such as the kitchen and laundry room, are available and very clean. The staff were very helpful and would attempt to accommodate our needs and help us find our way around Takayama. At no time did I ever feel the need to worry about my children wondering around the first floor on their own. It just felt that warm, cozy and safe. It’s called a hostel, but it really feels more like a classy private hotel. Highly recommended for families.

Friendly staff, great location, nice and comfortable area”
Very nice place to stay in a great location (close to station, sightseeing area, plenty of restaurants nearby, etc). The staff is very helpful, friendly, and speak fluent English. The common area was very cozy and pleasant.

Very friendly staffs and great property”
We've booked a private room with bunk bed for 2, it was great with bathroom attached. They have shared kitchen, dining room and lounge for use. The only cons are we cannot use the bathtub, only shower is available. Location was great, 5-10 mins walk from JR Takayama Station.

What a great hostel!”
Not only good location (which located about 5 min walk from the station, 10 min walk to Takayama old town), the staffs were very nice, they can provide a good information about staying and town's information. I was stayed in a single room with private bathroom. It was cleaned enough. All facilities I need are provided. Their kitchen was simply but clean. A lot off stuff such as coffee, kakikori making were also provided. The common room is so lovely, feeling like an old takayama house. Recommend for all travellers to stay in this charming hostel.

A budget hostel with full kitchen + equipments and laundry machines provided in communal area, the staffs make our trip easier and little warmer from the snow. Will definitely come back :)

We ended up extending our stay at the hostel because we liked it so much as well as the town of Takayama. Staff members were extremely helpful and very accommodating. Highly recommended!

Definitely would recommend friends. Great location, great staff, great ambiance in the living hall & common area, free coffee & tea in the kitchen. The room was small but equipped with what we needed (except for toothbrush), please remember to bring if you’re booking it.

A high quality hostel meeting hotel standards in many ways”
We stayed two days and were really happy with our choice. All facilities are very clean and management pays close attention to detail to provide for a high comfort. A nice living and small dining room for socialising, a kitchen and even a pleasant smoking area (outside, but with roof) are available. Overall a great place!

Friendly staff. I move to takayama about 12 afternoon and reach to khouse about 7PM. The staff worried about me and text me my room number and where to get our keycard. Because their fronddeak close at 8PM. Caring staff and very clean afterall. Love to stay there.
