Mt. Daisen - Also called Hoki Fuji, this volcano is located 20 minutes by car from Kaike Onsen. It is the tallest peak in the Chugoku region. Guests will be fascinated by Mt. Daisen's charm no matter the season, whether it's the fresh green leaves of spring, mountain climbing in summer, vivid reds and yellows of autumn or skiing in the crisp white winter world. The view from Masumizu Highlands is also breathtaking.
Mizuki Shigeru Road - a 30-minute drive from Kaike Onsen, this road is lined with bronze statues of 'yokai' (demons) that appeared in the anime Ge Ge Ge no Kitaro.
Tottori Hanakairo Flower Park - a 30-minute drive from Kaike Onsen, this flower park is home to the flowers of Japan as well as rare flowers from all over the world, the beautiful sight of which may be enjoyed all year round.
