Exceptional”
We were there for two nights. Perhaps it's the time we chose to travel but the hotel was fairly empty. I was initially rather ambivalent about the hotel because it seemed quite old and shabby. But, we had the best experience there. The staff were great, gave us an upgrade after we changed our minds about the initial booking. We had a room with a great view of the sea. The onsen was wonderful. I highly recommend the one of the top floor of the annex building. Within a 10 minute walk, one can get to (what I assume is) the main part of the town. It's a lovely old town, very nice to walk around. Overall, a great experience and we will definitely be returning to this hotel.

Excellent”
Excellent locality, a stone throw away from the beach & walking distance to Train station & Yoko-cho (Shopping alley). Excellent cleanliness, however hotel is aged. I couldnt really communication with the staff and asked about the access for the rooftop onsen, so no comments on that. However, check in was a breeze, even if you dont know how to speak japanese.

By the sea, by the sea...”
I enjoyed my stay at Kameya Rakan. It was peaceful. The room was small but with a view of the beach and good soundproofing. Their onsen are nice and well cleaned. I ate out because of my schedule but the scents from the dining room were certainly appetizing. I would be happy to go back.

We enjoyed the seaview room”
They have free parking for guests, suitable for road trippers. I wish their hot spring have more stuffs (chairs in changing room, comb.. etc) But overall it's a good experience, me and my boyfriend enjoyed the stay so much.

The Beach”
The beach is right there outside your window. It’s just across the road. Go early to enjoy the morning light or late when everyone else has left …… Just you and the sound of the sea.

Very good”
It's comfortable and quiet. I like to see the sea from my room. Ito has plenty of places to walk around in without the crowds of a Tokyo or Yokohama. Ito is a place to go to relax.

Very strong smell in the room”
We stayed in a Japanese style room. It has a very strong bad smell in the room. We had to open the window when we were staying there. The facility and decoration is so old-fashioned. I am sorry that I personally don’t like this hotel. The price is too high at this conditions

Mold on the walls and room smelled strongly of smoke”
I stayed for one night on the third floor. The room smelled terrible. Reeking of cigarettes and ash. I asked to change rooms and was told all rooms were smoking. They gave me a bottle of deodorant. This was ineffective. They literally have their smoking area in the hallway of the ground floor. This causes smoke to raise up to the stairs and into the rooms. The facilities are aged and in need for renovation. The view is good but I would never come here again due to the terrible smell and smoke fumes. Best avoided.

Wonderful hospitality from the front desk”
Only con was that the ryokan male staff did not knock first before entering the room to make the futons for bedtime. What if we were undressing at the time? We were taken aback throughout our two nights stay there. Other than this, it was definitely a value for money accommodation place to explore Ito.

An older hotel, but comfortable and good value”
Very comfortable room and good Japanese breakfast. Curiously, there was no hot water connected to the room basin. We appreciated upgrades and access to the reserved bathing suite.

Good stay! ”
The room was really nice and the front desk staff was friendly and helpful! Was a little bit disappointed there was no public outdoor onsen and the nicer private ones was mostly locked for reserved guest. Also, checkout was STRICTLY at 10am (they called to chase us at 9.50am) but overall still a good place to stay!
