We stayed here for four nights of our honeymoon in a Joglo and were so happy with this hotel! Pros: -The rooms are gorgeous! High ceilings, incredible wood-carved bed, very spacious, phenomenal views, large bathroom with hot shower. Perfect! I loved that we could open the massive sliding glass doors all the way so that we could enjoy the incredible view from bed. What a treat! -The infinity pool and restaurant also have the same incredible view. -In-room massages for only about $20 each! My husband and I felt so spoiled to get a couple's massage in our beautiful room by wonderful masseuses. I highly recommend this to anyone who stays here! -They provide free transportation to El Nido Town on a tricycle, which makes getting around El Nido so easy! We never waited more than 10 minutes for them to pick us up. This was a wonderful service. -We checked out at 6 AM, and they made sure we got our breakfast in to-go boxes the night before. It was such a nice touch! Cons: -Although they are on a hill and seem to be removed from town, it wasn't as quite as we expected. You could still hear loud tricycles and motorcycles on the road below. It wasn't loud enough to wake us up, but it was a constant background noise. -The bathroom by the pool and restaurant was consistently dirty and missing toilet paper. The rest of the hotel was always perfectly clean, but this bathroom was gross.

Had a very comfortable stay at Karuna :) It is even more beautiful in person!! The room is very clean, all the staff we encountered are so friendly and helpful, restaurant food is delicious! It was also very easy to communicate and get to places we wanted to get to through front desk staff. Thank you so much to Ate Anjie and Sarifa for making our stay easy, enjoyable and fun!

Fabulous food, pagodas, and views”
Karuna (which means compassion) is a cut above. Literally cut into the hillside above Corong Corong beach, just south of downtown El Nido, it’s a relatively quiet perch above the ocean with a spectacular view of the islands off to the west. The Indonesian styled rooms make it feel like Bali, and the Filipino food served at the poolside pagoda is delicious. You can order a floating breakfast fruit basket if you want. The staff are quite helpful and responsive. We loved staying at Karuna and hope to return!

We’ve been two weeks in palawan and we were in 5 hotels already and this is the best hotel so far.. the staff is amazing the food is delicious and cheap. The hotel is worth the price. The view for the pool is just breathtaking. And the rooms are clean and comfortable. If i ever go back to el nido i will go back to this hotel for sure.

We stayed here for 9 days and every minute was perfect! Amazing location, fantastic bungalows, super friendly stuff, own tuk tuk service that brings you to town whenever you want. Great food, a mind blowing view and a very relaxing atmosphere. We loved it and if we come back to El Nido, we’ll definitely stay here again!

Relaxation room at its finest”
This accommodation is superb; As first timers in El Nido, my husband and I enjoyed our stay here (honeymoon). We booked the Joglo ocean view, and I can say the best thing about it is the outstanding view from the room and terrace itself! If you want a real relaxing place with an amazing ocean and nature view, I recommend booking this hotel. The room is Balinese style complete with a small kitchen; I especially love that they have complete kitchen utensils (stove, ref, heater, pans, plates, glasses etc). They also have a nice shower area in the back, with a bath tub. The only negative there is that since the shower/bathroom is in the back outside area, at night there would be some insects that can disturb the place, but otherwise it is generally good. Just make sure to always close the door to the bathroom. Another plus point is the terrace with its table, 2 loungers and hammock! Truly a place for relaxation. The ocean and forest view is so gorgeous that it is okay for you to just stay in the room and not go out! However, we did go out for tours, and I suggest you check out their rates as well as the rates of the transportation (it might be too expensive for some especially the fare of tuk-tuk to the towns or the rate for beach tour via tuk tuk); but for convenience, you can book the tour with Karuna and there is also a free hotel tricycle going down (since the hotel is steep and at a high point hence the nice view also). You can walk going to and from the hotel from below if you prefer to be active. We also booked the airport transfers with them. Contact them by e-mail or Whatsapp and they will respond easily (another plus). Apart from the place and amenities, the staff are also very accommodating and friendly, as expected also from the locals. Although, since El Nido is a touristy place, expect the restaurant food, souvenirs and even just the ocean bags and snorkeling equipment to be more expensive than usual. Amazing boutique resort with panoramic ocean views ”
We stayed for 3 nights in a studio villa, and loved it! The staff was attentive and friendly, and the luxury infinity pool provided amazing pictures, and the breakfast had a nice variety on the menu. The hotel was conveniently located near town with free transport back and forth to town. The only negative was that the internet was pretty slow, so definitely not a place you'd want to try and work remote, but otherwise a fabulous property.

Very nice hillside view of El Nido town”
Although it is very steep to go up this property, it is so worth it. Their infinity pool in front of their restaurant has a good view of the sunset! It is so nice out and quiet! From the villa, you will have stunning views of the town and everything else El Nido has to offer.

Had the best time here. It's up on the hillside with terraces overlooking the bay. A wonderful oasis after a busy day of activities. Staff could not have been nicer and the restaurant/bar had a wide selection. Can't wait to come back here.

staff are nice, the view is great facing corong corong beach. about 5-10mins to El nido town with free back and fro pick-ip. The only concern is located uphill, and about 5-10mins uphill walk, though they provide free pick-up just in case you dont want to walk. The place is quiet, free from noise of bars and restaurant and traffic.

The staff was great. My room was great The reason I gave a 4 was the bathroom is a open air bathroom. I was traveling alone and didn't feel comfortable showering or using the tiolet after dark (not because I was worried about people but bugs or reptiles). The hotel has a beautiful view, it's about a 10 minute ride into El Nido. The hotel offers free transportation. The restaurant food was very good and the service is great. It's a very small place and you get lots of special attention. I would definitely recommend Karuna El Nido Villas

Stunning cliff top views, friendly staff and an amazing kitchen to complement gorgeous Indonesian style villas. ”
We stayed at Karuna in August 2022 and highly recommend it as a unique way to experience the grandeur of El Nido. We stayed in Joglo 4 - with spectacular cliff top views and great sunsets. The room and bathroom was fabulous - spacious, beautifully designed with good amenities. Come with some bug spray for the late afternoons and use the mosquito coils if needed, but it’s worth it for the experience. The food at the kitchen was amazing - huge variety of tasty meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Angie and the staff were very helpful and friendly - we were able to book tours, hire a scooter, arrange lifts into town, get travel tips, etc - all through reception or via their responsive WhatsApp service. Although the rooms are high up, Karuna do provide a service to get lifts up and down the pathway. The only other comment is that the hot water was not very effective but again, easy to manage with the heat and a good way to cool off. We loved our stay and will recommend it to friends.
