One of the best I ever stayed in Jeju ”
I have been to Jeju several times and stayed in many places; Hotels, Private villa, Hostels and so on. I found that this place is absolutely value for money and worthy to visit. The room was spacious and equipped all I need. Futon bed was really clean. For those who would like to stay in Korean traditional place, this is the one. Staffs are friendly and shared facilities are well maintained. It is pretty closed to some hot spots such as Ole local market, forest, View points and Halla MT, Seongpanak. However it would be convenient to have a car to roam around. I would definitely visit here if I travel nearby and highly recommended.

Unique traditional building with great facility”
Must visit, so uniquely built. It's like a time machine that brings you back to ancient Jeju island. The facility are complete, clean and tip top condition. The only thing is they'll switch off all lights after 10pm.. so it's not convenient if you still want to stay longer at common area.

Great experience of stay in more than 20 years traditional “Tobang””
Staff are in family and very helpful. They only offer breakfast and should be decided when you check in. It is abalone porridge/congee and it is rejuvenated to have some at the morning. There are also have light breakfast such as corn flakes and bread with jam. No restaurant inside but they will drive you to the nearest Korean BBQ restaurant. The food at the restaurant is awesome and you could experience the local style and setting there.

Great stay!”
Location at seogwipo makes it easy to explore the area of nature. Good for groups since different rooms to pick from. Practising throw your own rubbish. Staff was kind on the flexibility when we check-out and was in a rush to go off to airport.

very friendly staff”
we arrived very late to the hotel and the receptionist was closed. It was raining outside and we got to find our keys and ways to find the room/house. IT WAS LIKE AN ESCAPE GAME!! Highly not recommended if you are not adventurous type and arriving there after 9-10pm. Please note that their room numbers are written in Korean words. Please match it accordingly and make sure you don't hold your key upside down. The staff is quite friendly though. I have arrange 1 day to stay relax in the hotel and I found out their cafe only open at 5-10pm everyday and close on Thursday. So the chef cook us some delicious lunch on the day. It was indeed extremely yummy lunch. Mattress is a little bit too thin, I think. Don't leave any food in the room as you will be crowded with gigantic ants. Be careful that a caterpillar /scorpio will fly in from the window and go inside your luggage. Lucky that I spot that insect going in, or else I would have brought it back to Indonesia.

Winter Blue in jeju”
Its great value to travel during winter but many restaurants and shops may close early or closed. The location not easy to find unless you have gps. If you dont drive, dont book cos a distance from town. We had to drive to nearest town to eat and we discover the town by chance. Saw a mega mart and we stopped. Then we found a street with cafe and restaurants. The ediya cafe staff were very friendly, most people we met did not speak English. They may understand. The front desk ladies were nice. They use app to translate and apologise so cannot find fault with the staff Good to try once i suppose cos hanok stay is an experience good or bad but have one with attached bathroom. Otherwise you need to get out. Room was cute like a cave warm cos heated. Mattress ok ...cos we were tired. Water flow slow and not as hot but ok. There is a TV. No wardrobe but hooks to hang your clothings, space wise tiny. For bigger frame, may be too small. Just imagine you are sleeping in a cave.

Very Beautiful and Cosy Concept”
We were very pleased with our stay in Kasan Tobang Hanok. The only issue with the hotel is its location which is slightly secluded and is hard to get to if one does not drive. When we arrived, we were greeted warmly by the friendly staff who is able to converse well in english. They showed us around the hotel which had a dining area, a gathering area with laptops, a common bathroom and our rooms. The tatami style room was designed to resemble a mud hut and had a very cosy environment. The interior was clean and had floor heating to keep away the cold. The common bathroom is fashioned in a Korean/Japanese open-style with open showers and a common toweling and locker area. Soap and shampoo are provided and also towels and hairdryer. Overall we had a very enjoyable stay at Kasan Tobang Hanok. I will recommend this place to anyone who heads to Jeju and intends to have a self-drive trip.

A getaway sanctuary!”
It is as good as the reviews has showed. Despite the time we took to travel to Kasan Tobang (a distance away from the city) - and our taxi driver was having some hard time finding his way, me and my friends enjoyed our stay there. We got ourselves a four persons hanok. It is spacious and we think it could easily fit 8. The room is so comfy and cozy that me and my friends decided to return to the hanok earlier from the day tour. The toilet attached to our room has a small window that we can peep to the outdoor view and it was one of the best 'teeth brushing view' i ever had. The room doesnt come with a shower and the public shower room is an 'open shower' concept so if you are not comfortable of taking shower with your friends/strangers openly, be sure to go for room with bathroom. But me and my friends enjoyed this new and fun experience. Abalone porridge is served for breakfast, which makes our winter morning perfect. We were given a choice of toast too, in case some of us are not use to having typical Jeju style breakfast. We truly enjoyed our stay there and it would definitely be our first choice of accommodation if we were to return to Jeju again.

A different experience from the usual B&B”
We spent one night in Kasan Tobang Hanok and was pleased with the quiet room we had. It was styled in the traditional Korean style so we slept on the floor. Additional pillows were given upon request. Front desk staff helped recommended a taxi driver to drive us to the different sights and also booked a taxi for us when we departed early the next day. Check in & check out was fuss free. The staff were friendly and tried their best to help with our queries even when some of them were not comfortable speaking English. Our room didn't come with bathroom so it was a different experience to use the common shower. Breakfast (abalone porridge with some side dishes) was served at 8.30am in a common dining room with ceiling windows that let in the morning sun. Overall a wonderful experience if you are looking to relax in Jeju-do.

Our Honeymoon Trip”
We really liked the experience of the cute and small design of the Korean Traditional houses. the rooms and toilet were a little tiny and small but it was expected since we really love the "coziness" of it! But it was definitely worth it for the experience! :) Staff did not know how to speak english very well but we could get by with gestures and simple english. Nevertheless, they were still quite helpful to our needs, such as providing an extra mattress and helping cook instant noodles as we were vegetarians and we couldn't get any dinner elsewhere since it as already very late at night when we arrived at the hotel. There is also a nearby convenience store within walking distance right outside, operated by another Hotel. Cheers to Kasan Tobang Hanok!

Minimalistic stay at a hanok”
Kasan Tobang is not a traditional hanok, but you get to enjoy the hanok experience with comfort. You sleep on an ondol, and as for toilets & showers ... it's a shared thing. It was a really good experience, and I quite appreciated it. Clean, simple, nice, with friendly staff. And I love how the area was rather quiet, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The only thing for me was my struggle to get used to the ondol. It's a far cry away from the water bed I usually sleep in, so it took quite awhile for me to get used to it. If you like soft plush beds, you may struggle to adapt as well, hah. But in any case, I quite enjoyed my stay at Kasan Tobang. It really was lovely (:

Traditional hotel with friendly staff”
Kasan Tobang Hanok is a traditional hotel, which means that you sleep on a futon, breakfast is porridge with abalone and the bath is shared - was not a problem, as I was always alone in the bath, although the hotel was fully booked. This is an exotic place for european travelers, but I quickly felt at home. It's better to rent a car or a scooter , but it was no problem to get a taxi to/from this place. I would definitely recommend this nice and peaceful place.

Cozy”
My parents and I stayed in Kasan Tobang for one night. We stayed in the double rooms with private bathrooms.Overall, they were absolutely lovely, although my parents' room trash wasn't emptied before their stay, nor were the toothpaste samples refilled. Otherwise our stay was fantastic, the rooms and bathrooms clean and comfortable, and the staff extremely friendly. There's even a cat cafe on-site. I definitely recommend this place!

For the experience of a Hanok...”
My family of 5 selected the Kasan Tobang Hanok as we would like to experience staying in a traditional hanok. The 2 nights stays was a great experience of the Korean culture. Our room is situated away from the main hall and it is relatively quiet and dark at night. As the hanok is situated on the hill, we can see the sky full of stars (an experience that you cannot get in the city due to light pollution). In addition, it is interesting to note that the floor are installed with heaters and is relatively warm and comfortable to sleep on in the cold autumn. Only disadvantage is that it is an hour drive from Jeju city and can be a bit far for people without any transport.

Good option for a taste of Korean hanok stay”
Driving is essential to stay at Kasan Tobang, as it is located near Mt Halla. The accomodations were clean and had all modern amenities whilst providing tourists a taste of Korean traditional accomodation. The staff were very accomodating and friendly. However, it would be good if it were made clear that only communal bathing facilities were available, in the traditional style as well - mental preparation of the situation would have been good! :)

high level of service provided as like last year. Very friendly and helpful. Good wifi, clean rooms. The fact I extended my stay 1 more night last year and chose Kasan Tobang again this year says it all! Thumbs up!

Small Space ; Unique Experience ; Traditional ”
A unique experience to stay in a traditional room type in Kasan Tobang. We actually booked the smallest room & it's space is very limited, ventilation through a very small window (A3 size?) so it is quite warm at night even our travel period is during April. However it is still a very good experience staying there because of the environment & facilities are unique, traditional & well maintained.
