We had a very nice stay two nights at the Khongpumork Hometel in Nakon Sakon; good location, very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was included, however, mainly suited for locals. For a room with a balcony and a beautiful view over Maekong, ask for A301.

The Khongpumork Hometel has three floors and located along the border line of Thailand with a view of the Mekong River and the boundary line of Lao.The distance to the Centre is great where increasingly prefered on transport.On foot from the hotel to the City Centre is more than an hour,but is highly recommended because of the views along the Mekong River and Lao.In the hotel is bicycles and motorcycles for rent at good rates.The staff is professional,but does no have sufficient knowledge of the English language.However,everyone is friendly operated.Most hotel guests are of Asian descent.The building is well maintained on a daily basis as well all the rooms which daily of pure bed sheets and towels are provided.The VIP rooms are spacious and have a balcony with a nice view on the Mekong River and Lao.Chairs and table are available on the balcony.There is hot and cold running water available,but works insufficiently.This means,first strong jet with watering down to soft jet,just as an upward and downward movement.The air conditioning is good and no disturbing in operation.There is cable tv,but has poor picture and sound is good.At possible problems in the room,it is immediately repaired and/or replaced.The breakfast let the desired.The hotel does not have its own restaurant where lunch and/or diner can toast.Yet on the other side of the building is a good restaurant.The downsides to this hotel;the distance to the Centre.There is no elevator in the building.On the balcony is also the cooler of air conditioning.In effect,it is impossible to stay on the balcony.The slippers loan which are offered to the hotel guests,were already worn by previous hotel guests where the smell of sweaty feet to smell is still clearly.There is no safety box in the room.There is no kettle in the room but on the ground floor area. Excellent value stay”
Contrary to earlier review, I found it very easy, just where it was supposed to be on Agoda and FB. Booked thru Agoda, though walk-in was 40 baht cheaper. New, clean, and riverview rooms have small balcony w/seating. Very pleasant stay, simple but adequate brekkie of Jok, toast, local bakery, coffee (instant), tea, orange drink. for 650 (walk-in rate) w/brekkie included, very happy with out choice. not in center of town, a plus for us, as we self drive, but food within walking distance, along the river, IndoChina market/center of town, less than 2 km away, and a pleasant stroll along the river. what more could you ask for. close to most things as town is small. we rented bikes, 70 baht a day (40 / one hour) and are here for the week long boat races/candle and illuminated boat procession, a yearly celebration. one of the better river towns with nice view of the hill of Laos. staff courteous and helpful, with at least one speaking very good english, and recommended a good riverside restaurant nearby (Reun Rim Nam rest.) sa-buy di was also an excellent restaurant along river rd, vietnamese plus. opted for the extra bed (250) thick mat for the not so little one, with bedding/towel/brekkie/water provided for her. no restaurant/food service except for brekkie, snacks and drinks available

A nice find!”
We had a nice night here, the room was very clean, comfortable, bed, and good view out the windows and from the small balcony. We were on the top floor of the three storey hotel in a Delux River View room, a very good deal. The hotel is not in the city center so there is not a lot to do within 5 minutes walk but bicycles are available to rent if you do not have transportation or you walk 10-15 minutes along the Mekong and you reach the city center.

Best hotel in Nakhon Phanom”
This is a normal hotel. New, clean, friendly, near the river. The staff are friendly. The breakfast is better than usual compared to other small Thai hotels. The bed was extremely comfortable, and I liked the design of the room. This is your best bet for a nice room in a quiet place in Nakhon Phanom. Super clean. I live in Nakhon Phanom now, and I have stayed in most of the hotels around here. This is the best one for money, by far.

Fantastic Value For What It Is”
Get a room on the 3rd floor with river view. Comfortable room, although the original plastic wrapping is still kept on the mattress under the sheets!. A local breakfast is provided but then what can you expect for such a good rate, so excellent value. We used the good quality bicycles provided to cycle around the town. Would definitely stay here again due to comfort, location and price.

Nice clean room. 5 minutes drive from main city. Asked for a bottle of wine and flowers for the room, they were more than happy to accommodate. Fantastic value for money. Breakfast was only toast and instant coffee but no complaints for the price paid. Very happy ;0)

Maintenance”
Like many Thai hotels, the staff and service is great but the little maintenance jobs never seem to be done in a timely fashion, or ever! If it is done it is often a patch up job, not a true repair. Our room's wifi username and password didn't work. Probably needed to restart the router but had us restarting our devices and eventually gave us logins for another room. Said our laptop couldn't connect which I think is extremely unlikely but they wouldn't provide a login to try. Would I stay again? Definitely my complaints, although lengthy, are just minor.

We enjoyed this hotel. So much so we extended another night. A little bit out of the riverfront market area. We toured all around town on bikes we rented from them. Breakfast was skimpy, toast and instant coffee.

Great Value”
Used the bicycles provided to tour around the town, good location and third floor (top) river views are the best. Local breakfast but then what can you expect for the price paid. Would definitely stay a couple of nights next time as some interesting sites in town, old buildings and great river frontage. Some good restaurants as well.

overall satisfactory”
After receiving booking confirmation I was then contacted day before arriving saying I was being downgraded in room as the one I booked wasn't now available. My 2nd night I moved to the room I'd originally booked. Both rooms had ants everywhere, although the rooms were otherwise clean. Both showers weren't very powerful. Parking on site. Downsides.....a fair way out of town so transport is recommended and right next door is a restaurant with live music til around 2300.

budget hotel im khanom phanom”
we have a night to spend im khanom arriving from buri ram and going to khon kaen. It'seemed on the site of agoda a good hotel with agood quality/ price. but it's very out to find, no indication written in english even the name of the hotel.no lift , the breakfast was very poor,frigobar completely empty . hotel far for the center of the town.

Home away from home”
Our stay was great. Very relaxing and enjoyable. Quite a walk to the centre of town but it's a nice walk along the mekong river especially on a cool day. You can always get a tuktuk. Good places to eat near by.
