Weekend stay. 26th June 2021”

This place is beautiful clean and tidy the welcome we got was great as we arrived early for check in. The hosts where brilliant from start to finish. George is by far one of the most genuine blokes I’ve ever met. That evening we eat at the restaurant and the food was great. Great atmosphere the service was once again brilliant. It was just missing some live music. Which we later found out was booked for the Sunday instead. Could not fault the stay we had. Definitely recommend staying here to everyone.
There was nothing I didn’t like about the property.

The scenic location was lovely by the river with plenty of outdoor and indoor seating the staff were one of the best things about the place, they were really friendly and genuinely interested in you asking lots of questions which was really nice. The room itself was so clean and really nicely decorated with a large bathroom and a nice little landing area where we could put our bags and in the hot weather the 3 large windows were amazing! We also had a lovely view out the back over the field and the church
I’d like to see toiletries not in single use bottles and to introduce permanent bottles that can instead be refilled

Beautiful country pub in a gorgeous and peaceful location. All staff were very attentive and professional but not over intrusive. They provided excellent service even when it was very busy. The pub itself is very stylishly appointed, spotlessly clean and comfortable. The outside dining area is large and couldn’t be in a prettier setting, right beside the beck. We loved it!

Enchanting place”

Wonderful location next to river with red squirrels in abundance. Quiet and peaceful and staff were very attentive. There is even a 9 hole golf course in the village. We loved the decor and ambience which managed to capture the feel of a 17th century Pennine inn whilst having all modern comforts. The small village has lots of interest with a lovely church and nice walks.

What a place!”

Perfect setting, perfect pub & wonderful people. What more can you ask. Loved our stay here and the fact it’s dog friendly (it was like a spaniel convention) just made it even more special. So many fantastic lovely walks and no where near as busy as the lakes. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to return.

The owners & staff couldn’t do enough for us ! It was the break we both needed! Watching the red squirrels was fascinating 🐿. The food was beautiful ( if there was anything left on our plates it was because we were so full !! ) thank you ! We will be back room 6 !!!!

Location lovely. Breakfast very, very good - lots of choices. No cooked but we don’t have anyway. Cold meats,cheeses and great bakery items
Our only criticism is that there should be grab rails in the over the bath shower - nothing to hold on to to assist getting our or turning round.
