Where to stay in Kirishima
Kirishima hotels & accommodations

Hotel is clean and the rooms are rather large. I booked the Japanese style so we slept on futons. Onsens were good - there are two (one with a view on the fourth floor and one open air bath at the basement). Toilets in the room were also equipped with showers so you don't necessarily have to shower at the onsen. However, something to take note is that the water coming ...

Went for 3 days for relaxing. Great view up to Kagoshima with good conditions. Visible from all rooms and the restaurant. Many different private onsen with nice views of their own. Food was great (japan ryokan style). Also staff very attentive and committed. Went hiking for onami pond, which was a stunning location. All in all perfect time. Access without own car is po...

It is not right at the busiest section of Kirishima and yet (by car in our case) it is only minutes away from all the main attractions. Being very quiet in the surrounding was what we enjoyed the most. The room was quite spacious and has a good view of the outside scenery. The in-house onsen is excellent.

Brilliant environment and best 一泊二食 i ever tried, certain worth the price. We stayed in the super spacious villa with private outdoor onsen and indoor bath. Dinner was served inside the villa. Our female guests were also very impressed by the male server, who also prepared our beds! According to Female Guest A, this is the 精華 of the whole Kagoshima trip! Excited!

The place is conviently located near the Kirishima Onsen Market and it’s easy to find. The room was big with private Onsen, both indoor and outdoor one. They also have a public’s outdoor Onsen which was also very good. The meals were tasty, fresh and were exquisitely present.ed. We will definitely come back if we will visit Kirishima again and will not hesitate to reco...

We booked a room with breakfast and dinner. The buffet dinner was great with lots of dishes such as sashimi, sushi, beef, sabu sabu and etc.. Kaiseki needs to book in advance. The buffet breakfast also great with many selections with some western choices.

Myoken Tanaka Kaikan was one of three excellent Onsen I stayed in while in Kirishima over Christmas and the new year 2017/8. What set this one apart was it's proximity to the airport while many Kirishima onsen will cost you $70+ in a taxi this one was only $30 though you were far enough into the hills that you'd never know it. They also had the most hot water too! Tt w...

We stayed two nights to go up Mt Karakuni and visit the south of Kyushu. Cocos Garage is in the middle between Karishima and Mt Karakuni. We had our own car so getting there was no problem. The property has two buildings, one with the laundry and cooking room, and one with the bedroom, shower etc. The main building is also a coffee place but was not open when we were ...
