Nice hotel with good hot spring pool”

nice and big room, exellent hot spring pool and nice location

Located just a minute walk to the beach, the hotel staffs are extremely polite to serve their guest. They greeted you well when I arrived and standed in front of their main door to send me off. The beach is very nice and clear. Also, the view is fantastic. To explore further, you can take a bus to the Sandanbeki, and walk toward the hotel. The walk will take around 30 minutes, if you stop on every tourist spot, it will take around 2 hours. Not to mention that Musashi also has a best onsen pool in Shirahama. Do note that the outdoor pool is only open in the afternoon. Indoor pool start as early as 6am. The only thing barely satisfy me is the buffet dinner and breakfast. The food is not as good as I thought.

Good Option”

Location, Staff, Cleanliness

Booked this hotel at last min due to schedule, so I wasn't expecting too much. But my stay was great. The hotel itself is right next to the bus stop from/to Shirahama station, the beach and a Lawson. Staff were super nice and helpful. Even though the facility was a bit old, the room, the onsen and the buffet area were clean. For recommendation, the low temperature onsen is worth a visit. Right after the hot onsen, I had tried this low temperature one and found it amazing.

Hot-spring-Japan-style hotel”

Inclusive hot-spring, very helpful staff and beautifully decorated rooms

It was an incredible 2 nights stay. Staffs are extremely helpful although they do not even speak English in full sentence. Travelers who could hardly understand Japanese should consider activate your roaming service so as to use Google translate and communicate with them. Rooms here are very nicely decorated that you shall not find elsewhere. This is not a compact city hotel but a spacious one with traditional and artistic setting. You will find the experience interesting sleeping on the ta-ta-mi (Japanese style tile) The hot-spring is inclusive for what you have paid. even you don't use it you still have to pay a tax which goes to maintenance of the hot-spring. **Onsen (spa) tax of ¥150 is added per night** All in all, recommend this hotel to all who is going to visit Shirahama.

Excellent service, staff and room which all exceed our expectation

I supposed to get kisyu around 6 for the included buffet dinner. However I underestimate the time I need to get from Kyoto to Kisyu and I get to Kisyu around 10 after 4 hours traveling time. And kisyu staff still offer dinner to us and not cost us. The room is the traditional Japanese design and we can enjoy the sea view. If you planned to travel in Wakayama and it is a very good choice. Relaxing and enjoyable place. It is not suggested If you are travel in Kyoto and 大阪

Bad management, friendly staff, convenient location and awesome view”

Stayed there during a Saturday and Sunday in July 2016. Arrived hotel at 1100 hr to left baggage. Glad to see a friendly staff who can speak fluent Chinese. As most hotel staff can only speak Japanese and a Chinese/English speaking earns a merit. Return hotel at 18:00 hr after day tour in Shirahama. Informed our rooms were located at annex of the hotel. Given a sketch map to guide us to our rooms and we have to carry our heavy luggage by ourselves. Though only have stayed in a few onsen hotels in Japan, it is the first time I need to arrange my luggage to hotel room. Very surprised to know it is a 4 stars hotel! Worst of all we have to take our heavy luggage by ourselves up some ten steps of a staircase before we could reach the lift to our rooms on the top floor. It gave us a terrible time and a very bad impression! Rooms are in Japanese style, spacious, large balcony with awesome sea and hill view. A little bit hot at corridor as no air conditioning and I don't mind for the sake of energy saving! Onsen in hotel is a bit congested unless you visit in very early morning. Onsens are ordinary and somewhat like a small swimming pool. No surprise at all! Our dinner was included in the room charge. Buffet dinner with ordinary food! Very crowded with insufficient service staff. Hard to find a table during dinner time. No one clear our dirty plates throughout the 2 hour dining time. Better skip this 2 meal one night room. It doesn't worth! Understand it was a weekend but the hotel management can allot different time slots to their hotel patrons to avoid unnecessary congestions! The same congestion occurred during the breakfast buffet next morning! Very bad feeling to all overseas visitors! Hotel conveniently located at bus centre and gives easy access to numerous touist spots and JR station! Near beautiful beach and you can take a breezy stroll or swim anytime! A 24 hrs supermarket nearby and a lot of restaurant and shops which can kill all of your time! If

Cozy and relaxing traditional hotel by the sea”

Location, Friendly staff and Onsen

We love this hotel at all aspects, the location, the environment, the catering and everything. It's situated by the sea which you may have a glance of the Shirarahama beach if you stay at higher floors. The staff are very helpful and friendly. We have stayed in the Japanese-style room which is very spacious and traditional, except it'd be even better if there's onsen in room. Besides, remember to get up earlier for breakfast buffet if you want to avoid long queue.

Awesome Experience”

Friendly Staff, Spacious Room, Near Beach

The staff greeted us with a warm smile outside the hotel after we came down from the free shutter bus. My friend and I was considered lucky because we got the high floor with a perfect beach view. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The onsen was a wonderful experience as it was our first time. The beach is within 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel. There is family mart convenience store nearby. One thing I don't like was the fridge. The fridge was fully occupied with their can drinks and beers. I pulled out almost half of the drinks from the fridge as I wanted to check out what drink it was. After a while, my friend read the english hotel guide manual and notice that once a can or beer is pull out from the fridge, a mechanism will trigger and automatically charge us for the drink. We approach the staff and explain our situation. We also apologize for not reading the guide manual earlier. Luckily the staff understood our situation and was kind enough to reset the fridge without charging us.
