Kore guesthouse and the family are absolutely welcoming, kind, helpful, and professional. Breakfast was the best I head during my ten days in Albania, there was always a smile and a suggestion, and the whole experience was just lovely. The room was spacious, very clean, and decorated real nicely and the location is awesome, in the midst of beautiful historic buildings and walking distance from the famous castle. Great hosts! They helped me with everything: guided me to the location and parking from the very entrance to the town, allowed late check-in (23:00), warmed up the room (cold season — but the room was very warm on my arrival), provided additional blankets, etc. Also, great location – very balanced, close to all main sightseeings in the town. one of the few hotels with private parking. The room was cozy, nice, and clean. Very cool place to stay in this wonderful town, you will feel like a very desired guest.

The location of Kore Guest House was excellent and it was easy to reach by foot all the attractions in Gjirokastër. The room was comfortable and cool. We ate dinner cooked by Matilda’s mum and it was really delicious. Breakfast was also great and it was really lovely to eat out on the terrace.

Amazing place in the wonderland city”

Kore Guest House is an urban retreat with a personal touch. The owners are very kind and gentle and ready to complete guests requirements The room was decorated in a traditional way and was clean. The bed sheets and the towels were washed and smelled good aroma. It was so comfortable to sleep. Furthermore, the breakfast was delicious prepared with the products in the area and with good luck of nice weather we enjoyed it in the terrace where we were able to see the beauties of the city. The position is perfect and it is possible to visit all the landmarks.

The host Matilda and her family were super nice and welcoming, the perfect hosts! If you need something you ring the bell and not even a minute later you get tea,rakia and delicious home made food - a room service as in a five star hotel! the rooms are clean and comfortable and the house by itself is beautiful! In 5 minutes one is in the historic old town of gjirokaster!!! Highly recommended, I will come again!!!! faleminderit matilda!

This was our second time staying here. Owners very friendly and serve a fantastic traditional Albanian breakfast. The location is perfect it’s just a few steps away from the castle and the bazaar with shops and restaurants. The room was cute and spacious very clean.

Wonderful place to stay in Gjirokaster.”

Excellent place to stay. It has has a lovely balcony with views of the old town and the castle, where you have the very good breakfast. Our room was fantastic with lots of space. The bathroom was a really good size. Owners were fantastic and even took us to the bus station and made sure we got our bus to Tirana.

Everything was excellent nothing to dislike.

The apartment is a few minutes walking from the old bazaar and the castle. You have your own parking place. The room is very clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast on the patio is abundant and delicious. The whole family was very nice.

Wonderful stay with a lovely family”

The family are great hosts. They provide a warm welcome, good food and a nice chat. The terrace where you enjoy your meals is really cosy and provides some room to chit chat with fellow travellers and enjoy the view. The house location is great, close to the main (historic) centre. Everything is within walking distance. The rooms have a traditional feeling, which we enjoyed. The house provided good parking. We highly recommend staying here.

Matilda was lovely! She was very welcoming and prepared a wonderful breakfast for us early the next morning, as we were staying only one night in transit. The family room was small, but suited our purpose perfectly. She allowed our pets to stay at no extra charge. The room was very clean and comfortable. The location was beautiful and perfect for exploring Gjirokaster. We will return when we have another opportunity to stay longer!

the Family owned place is such a great location to start everything you would like to do in Gjirokastra. You get everything you need and there are parking possibilities. just contact the owner beforehand and they will help you to find the place. we arrived by bus and they would have even picked us up at the bus station. thanks again to offer us a right to the bus station and the traditional dinner which was cooked by the mum of the owner. All in all one of our best experience during our travel through Albania!

I spent one night at Kore Guest House and I must say that everything was excellent. The location was great because it was quite close to the center of the city. As for the room, it was really comfortable. One thing I absolutely loved was the breakfast that was served on the rooftop of the house. So we had the chance to even try some traditional local food while enjoying that amazing view. The host was super nice and made us feel welcomed. She also helped us with some places to visit in Gjirokaster and how to find them. I would definitely recommend this house to others who want to spend a few good days in Gjirokaster.

The breakfast was excellent, traditional Albanian, served on the patio overlooking Girokaster. The host was very welcoming and helpful. The room was furnished in a traditional Albanian style and very clean and comfortable. The location was excellent, 5 min walking from the old town promenade.

Coffee could have been better, I would have liked filter over Turkish. However, considering the location, that is the tradition in Girokaster.

Our best accommodation in Albania! So cute place! If you are going to visit Girokastra is just must stay in this guesthouse. We could do check-in earlier. Our view from terrace was unbelievable beautiful. Very clean. The breakfast was also very tasty. it should be more expensive for everything you get there ;) Our host was so nice and brought us to the bus station next day. Would like to spend there more time!

Everything was great! We’ve felt completely at home during our stay. We’ve loved everything about the hostel: its central (and at the same time, quiet) location, the host’s hospitality (beyond words!!!) and the FOOD. Breakfast was excellent and, if you have the chance, do not hesitate to have dinner at the property. Proper local cuisine at a great price. BRILLIANT! :)
