Wonderful ryokan experience”
Stayed for 3 nights. We rented a car but the ryokan was located just 1 min walk from the lake side. It has all basic amenities, bath with separate timing for male and female. It also offered free bicycle usage but the weather is too cold to use it. Our quad room was spacious for our family with 2 adults and 2 young children. It has 2 type of heating, undertake and a separate heater unit. But the heater is using gasoline, hence there will be occasional gasoline smell especially during starting, but it's transient. The staff was friendly, we mostly communicate using Google translate. It's overall a great experience there and it offered great value for money. Highly recommended place to stay in yamanakako lake.

Firstly I just one to stay for one day. Due to the storm. I can't come back to tokyo so that I must stay in the room. The man bring the instant noodle to me at noon. He also help me to book a bus ticket back to tokyo next day. The room is very traditional. Recommended to everyone

Excellent location with useful bus stop nearby, helpful and kind host with excellent Jap bath (Furo). clean and tidy, both interior and garden. spacious room with Jap warmer table (kotasu). Very good performance/ cost ratio.

The hostess is enthusiastic and they provide fantastic bath room and spa. Also some facilities are free, such as billiards and bikes. In general, this is the best experience I had ever have, we will come again for next time!

Breakfast included - Not True! Not so flexible reservation system”
I booked this hotel because I thought that the location was good and because it offered breakfast as already included in the price. After payment was confirmed and my card was charged, I received booking details saying NO BREAKFAST was included. Truly disappointing and surprising! Before my scheduled check-in date, I saw a notification about a strong typhoon approaching Japan, passing through just the west of Yamanashi where the hotel is located. I called up Agoda agent who was kind enough to try to negotiate with the hotel if a refund could be considered OR even just at least a change of date. 800 flights (domestic and international) have already been cancelled and I thought this hotel could considered. However, another BIG DISAPPOINTMENT! This hotel did not even consider any type of compromise. I don't recommend this ryokan at all for lack of integrity by posting to include breakfast only to find out it's not. More, I don't recommend this hotel for lack of consideration in a force majeure situation such as the typhoon that ravaged Japan just a few days ago!

I think the owner should be more reasonable in handling affairs”
I booked 2 rooms with breakfast and left a message that we will arrive at hotel very late. I'm sorry, it did too late when we arrived as we drove car there from Tokyo, a little bit far away and we met the foggy weather. The front door of hotel didn't locked, we entered and checked around, but nobody there. We got the contact number on the reception desk and called it many times, no one answered. Finally we took photo and left. I contacted with Agoda, they helped me negotiate with the owner, but the owner refused to any refund. I feel very disappointed with the owner, I think it's reasonable to charge partly services fee but not all of it (we paid 22,452 JPY). That's horrible memory, we couldn't check-in at the 7°C night therefore my family and I 4 adults had to sleep in a compact car even next day we should drive a long journey. I have to give you the negative review. So terrible and disappointed.

お客さんが少なかったせいか施設内はスッキリとしていた。 素泊まりだったので特にサービスはなかったが、料金も安くてちょうど良かった。 ただ、お風呂が男女兼用で入り口にカギが無く、『使用中』の札を掛けるだけだったので他の人が入ってこないか心配だった。
