Will not stay again”
The staffs are good, the morning buffet was good, a lot of amenities to choose. I booked a non-smoking room, but they gave me a smoking room, the wall is like painted with nicotine, the top of the comforter is like a rag, then i called the front desk to ask for other room, they just said just spray air freshener.haha. So i did cause im so sleepy that night.. Will definitely not stay again.

Excellent”
Excellent location with excellent service and facilities for a single person or couple just needing somewhere to stay while they travel Japan. Hamamatsu is a nice city that is in the middle of Tokyo and Osaka and the Shinkansen line stops here including the Hikari. I traveled to Tokyo,Kyoto, Nagoya, Kobe and Atami during my 10 day stay and this was an excellent and cheap place to stay while I traveled. If you want to eat out there are many restaurants and places to get food around the hotel.

Value for money”
Staff were nice. Location was excellent, just across the road from Hamamatsu station. Rooms were small but efficient, with necessary facilities. Only drawback is it wasn't so clean. The yukata provided in the room looked like it hadn't been washed- there were hairs on it. Breakfast was fine, but consisted mainly of rice and pickled vegetables; may not be so appetizing for the foreigners.

Standard japanese business hotel”
The hotel is located a bit off the Hamamatsu city centre, but it's still within a walking distance and quite close to the train station, so it's a good choice if you need to take an early train. The breakfast was typically japanese but a bit limited. The room was small but clean, enough for a few nights stay. At the hotel bar there was a free happy hour every night between 7 and 8pm.

Very value for money”
How come this hotel be so inexpensive! Although the room is a bit small as expected for jp hotel, yet it is comfortable and clean!!! Breakfast tastes good! Stuff are nice and helpful although communication in English is a problem.

The room was very small and the staff had very low level English skills. It was clean and close to the train station and to the shops, bars and restaurants of Hamamatsu.

Comfy stay in the city of music”
A small convenient hotel in a good location, not far away from the train station and the museum of musical instruments. Breakfast is a Japanese style with plenty of food. The staff are nice and the cleanliness of the building is good. I really like the location where it's very easy to reach the train station which has many shopping malls and restaurants.

Compact rooms but great service and breakfast”
When we arrived the reception staff was very helpful, they park our large MPV for us. We had some happy hour drinks and snacks at the lounge on ground floor. This was inclusive of the rate. The rooms were compact but adequate for two, bathroom was small and had all the amenities to meet our needs. If you have large luggage bags will hinder your movement in the room, so best to have up to 22" bags for ease to open. Rooms were clean and functional.

Strategic location”
The hotel is within walking distance to many choices of restaurants nearby. There is also a welcome drink with choices of liquor, sake or fruit juices with titbits upon check in. Breakfast is also good with many varieties. The only issue is communication breakdown with the staff as they could hardly speak or understand English.

Polite staff. We do not speak Japanese and they have few English skills, but language was really not an issue. Bed was rather hard, but it is probably the Japanese style. Free wired internet was nice. Double room was small.

Staff did their best to help with things like parking. Room was rather small and smelt of sour drains. Break fast was good and included. Close location to the beer hall Mein Schloss was a bonus

Acceptable”
Good location, however although non smoking room booked for the stay, we had a room that was previously a smoking room. We stayed during a typhoon and weren’t able to leave the hotel. The staff weren’t accommodating at all, if anything going out of their way to make it difficult for guests (eg didn’t allow use of dining room outside of breakfast hours or offer any assistance to provide bowls / plates to help out at dinner). Understand that these things might not be allowed in normal course, but a typhoon is clearly an exceptional circumstance, and no consideration shown by staff
