Awful Female front desk staff named 後藤 Goto”
This hotel have a small onsen at ground floor. Female guest needs to get a key from the front desk before using. When I tried to ask for the key from a female staff named 後藤Goto at 8:40am, she was on the phone, so I waited until she finished the call. When she finished I asked for the key & she said loudly "No No No, sorry" with a big cross with her hands on her chest without telling why. So I left with question & do not understand why she did not let me use the onsen. I walked back to the lift and also the entrance to the onsen, I found that there is a notice saying the last entry is 8:45am, so I walked back to the front desk as there is a big clock at the left, its just 8:45am so that means at the time I arrived and when I talked to her, the time was still before 8:45am. As I only want a quick use to the onsen (within 10mins), & I actually arrived the front desk to make my request before 8:45am, I tried to explain to 後藤Goto but she shouted at me saying "NO NO NO NO" again.. TERRIBLE

Restaurants close early in this region but lots of convenience stores are within walking distance. Love this inn for its simplicity and no frills pricing.

Our room is clean and spacious. The location is convenient. Within 5 min drive to Gotenba Premium Outlet. A local FamilyMart is located directly opposite the Inn. Free parking for my rented car.

just walk 5min to shuttle bus stop where can go to Gotemba premium outlet. but dont have any bus going to gotemba train station. only can access by taxi which was just about 700JPY. very closed by.

The place was easy to find, it has very friendly staff and good rooms. We could even see mount Fuji from the room. I would stay there again.

Tremendous Staff”
Stayed just one night here, but they were amazingly accommodating and allowed me to check in early (for a small fee) after having hiked Fuji the night/morning before. The hotel itself is quite nice, but the location's not great for folks traveling by train or bus as it's about a 20-25 minute walk to the station. Not terrible, but not the best.

Value for money if you travel with a car.”
The location of the hotel is convenient as it is next to the expressway, and as we are on a road trip, this is fine. But if you are travelling by public trains, it will be a trouble. It is quite an old hotel, but the room they gave us is spacious. The aircon (warm air) works well and we have a good stay. Breakfast selection is fine too with the standard Japanese breakfast and a few western dishes selections. It was a good stay.

The staff were very polite and kind. The room and bath were not particularly spacious, but the ice, amenities, and drink services were very helpful. We stayed here to watch our child's game, but we would like to stay again if we have the opportunity. Thank you very much.

The staff at the front desk, restaurant, and housekeeping were all very kind and provided excellent service. The welcome drink service after check-in was a nice surprise, with a variety of alcoholic beverages to choose from. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of options and was very satisfying.

チェックイン日のフロントマンさんが優しく親切で疲れた身体に染みました笑 小さい大浴場も入れて、また無料の朝食も良かったです！(コロナ禍で中止してる所が多い中これはポイントが高い！) 何より部屋からの富士山の眺めが最高！！ 綺麗でした！ ただ、悪い点は部屋が非常に寒い。ブランケットを借りることをお勧めします。

建物は古く、部屋も家具の配置が使い勝っては悪かったがアメニティやサービスはかゆい所まで手が届くような感じで感動🥺スタッフの接客なども気持ちよく過ごせた。 無料のコーヒーなども嬉しいばかりだった😃コストが安いのに温泉まで入れてウキウキでした。以前にも呉竹ホテルに泊まったことがあり、静岡に来たら呉竹ホテルが良いな〜と思っていたので、お部屋の古さ以外は期待を裏切らなかった。
