We dont normally stay in hostels but we tried this one in Kyoto with a private facilities room. We loved it! Only a short walk to Kyoto Station and the excellent transit system, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was really comfortable with traditional tatami bed and the shared kitchen facilities were excellent! As a 50 year old married couple staying in a "hostel" for the first time we would definitely stay here again one day!

The place is awesome, close to train station and there was even a nearby shrine/temple (so waling distance) we got to visit. Our room is private with a common japanese sleeping mattress in which a nice experience for us. The front desk is very friendly and accommodating. The room is also clean and we’d love to go back here when we visit Kyoto again! :)

Our go-to place in Kyoto”
Whenever I’m in Kyoto, Kyoto Hana is my go-to place because of its convenient location from Kyoto Station and everything else. It has the basic amenities as we were outside during the day. The staff is very helpful and accommodating. It was very easy for us to make a last minute booking (good thing, there were available beds/rooms) because our bus to Tokyo got cancelled due to typhoon Hagibis. We would definitely book again.

First timer!”
First time trying out an hostel, it was awesome... The hostel is very near to the Kyoto station which u can use the underground passing but if u carrying a heavy luggage then u might wan to use the traffic walkway, because there's no lift provided on the underground passing. The hostel is clean and quiet. Check-in time is sharp at 3:00pm. After check-out, they still be able to store ur luggage while u stil can go out sightseeing or shopping. Our room is on the 3rd floor which is couple room with private bathroom. The bathroom is bigger than the normal Japanese bathroom. There's a lot of foods choices near the hostel. Overall great!

Convenient Location ”
Location is near Kyoto Station and very convenient and accessible. It is also near a temple (a bonus attraction). The staff was accommodating and helpful. We had to extend another night due to typhoon Hagibis and they were able to book our beds at the last minute. This is our go-to place for our stay in Kyoto.

Booked a private room for 2 pax. The room was very spacious for 2 pax and very clean. The front desk is very friendly and helpful. There is a common space which you can interact with other travelers. Good location which is only 5-10 mins walking distance from Kyoto Station, where you can take buses to most of the attractions around Kyoto.

Wonderful hostel”
Staffs are very friendly and they are so kind to let me store my luggage before check-in and after checkout. The hostel is very clean but the dorm room can feel quite stuffy. But I enjoyed my stay very much. Considering the location and price I paid, it’s a good bargain!

convenient and affordable place in Kyoto”
Stayed for 3 nights. The room we got was a traditional japanese room with tatami mats and has its own toilet and shower.It is within walking distance to and from Kyoto station making travelling to and from the hostel easy. Wifi is available even on the 3rd floor , warm and friendly staff. May places to eat nearby and several convenience stores close by. If there is one thing we wish it had would be an elevator to the 3rd floor. We had to carry our large suitcases up to the 3rd floor. they did offer to help us though with our luggages.

Very close to Kyoto station. There’s a kitchen with dishes to cook, and a fridge, lounge area, tv. Two story building, with reception and lounge on first floor, rooms on both floors. I staid in female only dorm on second floor. No elevator but staff was nice and assisted with luggage :)

Location: near Kyoto Station and the underground passage connecting to it. 5min walk to Nanajo bus stop. Room: Japanese-style twin room with private bathroom. Spacious. Toilet and bath are separate. No bidet. We have a hard time with hot water even after following the instruction. Staff are approachable.

Overall a grrat choice to stay in Kyoto. 5 min walk from the station. The only thing I found troublesome is if you stay more than one night, you have to tidy up the bed set in order to have space to be able to move around or open your luggage in the room since I stayed in a Japanese style with private bathroom. Also another thing, it took some time for hot water to work properly.
