Unexpectedly spacious rooms and excellent service”

spacious room (Deluxe), friendly staff, good breakfast

i was quite surprise to find that the deluxe room is so spacious. the room has everything that i need, including free wifi with very good bandwidth. the breakfasts were good though the spread is few. a hot pho and omelette in the morning were enough to warm my stomach and gave me good start to my day. my pleasant stay is much credited to the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. thanks la belle vie hotel for making my stay in hanoi so pleasant.

Fabulous experience”

Our first night in Hanoi, we stayed in a different hotel, which seemed to be like every other hotel in the old quarter. Inexpensive, but cramped and dark. Fine, but just. Then we moved a bit out of the chaos, 15-20 minute walk north (or 5 minute Grab ride) to La Belle Vie. What a difference. A little bit more expensive than some in the old quarter, but leaps and bounds better. Everything is new seeming, with amazing attention to detail. The views from the rooftop pool deck over West Lake (Ho Tay) at sunset are spectacular. And the breakfast is the best we've had in our 5 months of travel in Southeast Asia. A little out of the way, though short walk to the far less touristy West Lake, we'd recommend it.

Great location”

comfortable, small, great location

Located just outside of the old quarter of Hanoi, La Belle Vie was in a perfect location: away from the hustle bustle and touristy nature of the old town, but close enough to walk or taxi into the attractions. The nearby Truc Bach Lake and surrounds were very pretty and there were plenty of eating places near by. Staff were freindly and helpful, the only thing that let it down was the buffet breakfast which was average, particularly if you are vegetarian.Excellent air conditioning in the rooms.

Nice rooms, polite staff. Good location.”

Clean rooms. Excellent service. Free WiFi. OK Breakfast.

We arrived late in the evening, greeted by a smiling receptionist who was obviously waiting for us to check in. It is a small hotel as all hotels in the heart of Hanoi usually are. But the rooms were spacious and there was free Wifi in the rooms. None of the other hotels we stayed in the previous 2 days had that service. Finally log on to find out what was happening in the world and catching up on emails. Breakfast next morning was good. Fairly good variety. Rooms - clean, nice decor, safe provided, mini bar with very reasonably priced items (just slightly more than street price). Recommended hotel.

Wonderful return ”

Great location easy walking distance of the many wonderful attractions of the city. The staff are amazing. So helpful and warmly welcoming. The reception manageress Huyen is so kind and friendly. As a solo woman it was great to be able to get her help. This hotel also has very comfortable beds and a great breakfast buffet. Although it is very much in the heart of Hanoi it is also quiet and relaxing. And a swim in the rooftop pool is very welcome after a day spent taking in the sights of this wonderful vibrant crazy city.

PerfectStay”

Stayed here for four nights solo female traveller. Staff were so helpful and friendly and were able to help me with everything I needed from a Vietnam SIM card to finding my way. I booked a trip to Halong through the hotel. Prices were competitive and trip went well. The facilities are great, good restaurant very wide range of breakfast choices. Swimming at sunset in the rooftop pool was lovely. The room had everything I needed and rate was good through Agoda. A great start to my Vietnam adventure. Thank you everyone.

Superb staff. Close to hanoi citadel”

Superb staff, close to old citadel, close to many local restaurants

I booked a superior room. Upon checking in, i found the room smell kinda moldy. The hotel was fully booked at that time, bellboy apologized and informed front desk. Next day i was upgraded to a deluxe room with city view free of charge. That room was big and clean, and smelled fresh. The entire staff, from front desk to restaurant, bellboys, and cleaning maids, all were super helpful and attentive. On the negative end, the restaurant was kinda small, and was so packed up so finding a seat during the rush hour for breakfast could be difficult. Staff, though, did everything to help. Highly recommended this hotel for great service, and value for money

A 3-star hotel with at least a 4-star service”

Great location

I am so lucky to have stay in this hotel. Although it is only a 3-star hotel, but I think they deserve higher rating. Hotel is well maintained and the staffs are very helpful and efficient. Even when the room service ended at 10.30pm, they even volunteered to buy supper for me out the the hotel. This is really a plus point for this hotel. The breakfast was well prepared and the food are delicious and plentiful. I trully recommend this hotel for any kind of stays, for business, for holidays and shoppings.

Lovely hotel with really helpful friendly staff who looked after me throughout my visit my room was big and comfy and well equipped. Breakfast was great a full range of foods. The rooftop pool was really great at the end of a hot day seeing the sights. Good”

The hotel was decent. The elevators and many of the hallways had a very unpleasant smell throughout. When we first checked in we were placed in a room that I presume must have been a smokers room. As neither my partner nor myself smoke, we were not okay with this. We spoke to reception and they promptly gave us another room. The room itself was quite small and poky compared to other places we stayed in throughout Vietnam (we also stayed in another hotel in Hanoi and booked a similar room however it had more space). Additionally, our airport transfer was really disappointing. He met us at the exit at the airport and once I acknowledged him he simply walked off towards his car, leaving my partner and I to carry all of our bags (and we definitely had our hands full) and try to keep up with him in the busty airport. He didn't even help us get our luggage in the car, he stood there and watched as we did it ourselves. Given you pay in excess of $20USD for a transfer, you expect a good service and all other airport transfers we had throughout Vietnam the service standard was much better. I would suggest just ordering a taxi or uber- cheaper and you're likely to get a better service (Uber cost less than $5USD back to the airport).

Absolutely the best breakfast. The room was clean and quiet. Staff was super friendly. There was live music downstairs when we arrived, welcome drink in the lobby. The rooftop view was really nice. We went there during a really cold week (below 20C) so we couldn't use the pool but it looked really pretty. Overall, really the best hotel I have stayed in.
