Great hotel”
This for me was a great hotel, the staff were all very polite and couldn't do enough to help which actually is very important to me and they all contributed to having a great stay. We had a room with a terrace with a great view of the port and the room itself had everything we needed. It is in a good location very close to the town but also hidden enough to benefit from peace and quiet. The restaurant is very good and although we didn't eat in the evening if the breakfast is anything to go by it's not even worth leaving the hotel as it was absolutely perfect with a great choice from fish to full English or even both. The only downside to the hotel is it is up quite a steep hill/steps and although it didn't bother us it would bother those with accessibility issues. I don't normally write reviews however I felt I should with this hotel because of how good we found it to be. Thanks for a great stay.

Excellent hotel and amazing staff”
A great hotel in a wonderful location close to the business area of St Peter Port. The room was great and the staff were outstanding. The restaurant catered very well for vegans too.

Fabulous view too many hills!”
hotel was lovely, staff fantastic, st..peter port location very handy, but the hills!! There are 2 ways down. Through the gardens & down lots of steps then down the hill or across car park then quite a long path with more steps & a worse hill, up goes to bus stop. We couldn’t stay here again unless we hired a car. I don’t think I’d recommend this hotel to single travellers because it’s quite scary late at night walking back. view from our room was amazing. Nice clean room, a few issues which were quickly addressed by the wonderful staff. Except the tv which kept randomly going fuzzy. The lift was next to our room & it’s only used by people on lower 2 floors, so we had the noise but would never use it. Wonderful surprises we’re getting birthday & anniversary cards plus a bottle of champagne & chocolates. Really appreciated. Breakfast nice & tasty. 1 day 2 sausages & the next 1? just about £100 to expensive & we wouldn’t stay again, just because of the difficult walk. should have a pool.

Perfect Position”
We enjoyed our stay at La Fregate, after the initial problem of tying to find the hotel in our hire car. The sea view was excellent and the restaurant food superb.

Don't take a single room in this Hotel!”
I booked a single room, which La Fregate only has three off. The one I had had no air-conditioning, was right on top of the verandah with plenty of noise. It was hot and stuffy. It is in the old section of the Hotel. Floor isn't level. Faint urine odor around toilet. I seemed to have found a really good Hotel and got one of its worst rooms. Staff were fabulous. WiFi not imperfect - good speed when it was connected, but on the second day kept cutting out. Hotel maintains that was because of Guernsey having WiFi hickups but when I was at the airport where I spent about eight hours on my last day none of that occurred. Location of the Hotel involves negotiating quite a large number of steps to get to town or use a taxi - even when the Hotel is in close proximity of town. So can't give location 5/5. Unless you're into fitness. Which I was. I'd recommend if someone made a booking at the La Fregate it should be for a double room and be sure to ask for a room in the new building. The old wing is very old and poorly insulated against sound. When someone closes their door it reverberates through the adjacent rooms. Bed by the way is 3 quarters - really small. Linen was clean but duvet smelt musty - maybe in need of being changed.

Lovely hotel missing that extra touch.”
A lovely hotel situated up a hill from the main town. Views are nice. Facilities are pretty good as well. Bath/shower was lovely. A few minor touches preventing this being the quality hotel it strives to be. Windows were a bit of a struggle to close. USB ports need to be installed. If you have a cocktail menu make sure your staff know how to make it properly ( my Negroni was all types of wrong ). Urine buildup around the outside of the toilet (only visible when soaking in the bath. A very nice stay. Needs touches to justify the price.

Exceptional”
Travelling with my elderly mother. We booked two single rooms, both of which were far superior to other single rooms I've stayed in elsewhere. Hotel is lovely and quiet with great views and short walk ( down a series of steps through lovely terraced gardens , but not very steep) to harbour and ferry terminal area and shops. Access by road is a bit trickier. Breakfast in great dining room was excellent. We really enjoyed staying here and would definitely do so again.

Room with an excellent view ”
I stayed 2 nights over the a summer weekend and once I stepped in my room they view from my room is just gorgeous, as my room was on the top floor overlooking the castle and marina. Amenities and deco are better than expected and nice.

We really enjoyed our stay. The service was top class from beginning to end. The location with views of Sark and Herm was stunning. The restaurant was superb. Our room was sumptuous with towels changed twice a day.

Holiday couple”
The reception staff were very good. The restaurant staff were disorganised causing guests to wait for breakfast tables to be laid. Also one member of staff bullied junior staff in front of guests not good.

Very tired and not worth the money”
We stayed in room 108 on the first night of our honeymoon. We expected high end, given the price. Unfortunately we were disappointed. The bathroom needed fully regrouting, the towels were worn and yellowed - as were the robes. The shower was old and loud and in general the bathroom had been poorly finished. The pelmets were torn, where the room has been painted it was touched up badly. In general I wouldn't bother staying here, I have found that Premier Inns are finished to a much higher standard.

Great Food and Views”
Lovely boutique hotel with great menu and stunning views over the Bay. Staff were all fantastic too!!! Great location - close to the centre of St Peter Port but away from the noise. We had a deluxe room which was modern and clean with a lovely balcony and view. Recommend - will go back.

Perfect location overlooking St Peter Port harbour”
First class hotel with beautiful large bedroom overlooking the bay. Staff are friendly and helpful. Ideally situation you can walk into the town in less than five minutes.

Very good”
Single rooms not great. Smaller than photo shows. No air conditioning in the room wI was in but in many other rooms. Too hot. Breakfast good but dinner expensive for what it is.

Charming hotel with great view”
Hotel sits on the hill, with amazing sea view into the harbour and beyond. We had issue with the smell of the first allocated room. They quickly changed room for us. Lovely breakfast, though I ordered an omelet for the last morning breakfast. And it turned up with only egg white in it ??... Which is strange. But staff are all very nice and friendly. Overall it's a lovely hotel to stay.
