Great hotel accomodation in Antique”
my wife and i loved our stay at la parola orchids beach resort. the accomodation was great and everything we needed during our stay, we found within reach. the staff and owner were very friendly, caring, attentive and they made us feel at home. the food of this place were super delicious especially the "la parola" pizza and breakfast. overall, this place is definitely worth going to and it is worth every penny.

La Parola Orchids Beach Resort is such an excellent resort. We had 2 rooms for family, gorgeous views, helpful friendly staff, food was wonderful, hope to go back.

Not a Whole Chicken”
La Parola Orchids Beach Resort Booked in for 2 nights the end of February with my Wife, daughter and extended Family. We stayed in the Family Apartment. Accommodation- Very basic indeed. The door the the apartment had no lock! No working light in main bedroom, TV did not work, Bathroom was a state shower leaking, cracked toilet, mould around the bath. No AC in main room we had to ask for a fan. The light in the bedroom was changed. We had too wait for the owners explanation why the TV did not work, he had not got round to connect it. These issues should have been resolved before we had checked in. Food- Surprisingly we where the only guests staying. Why did the food take so long? We had breakfast lunch and dinner here. The food was of reasonable quality but way overpriced. We ordered A whole chicken and got four pieces. Spaghetti and meat balls charged as two meals. I would stick with the native food as the western imitations are very dissapointing. Resort Grounds- An awkward fusion of European and native styles on a budget. The kids loved the pool but on the last day it was as green as pea soup. No direct access to the beach. Staff- Very Friendly and attentive but need more training in hotel and restaurant management. Conclusion- The Owner has a benign indifference of what goes on at this resort and need to engage with staff and guests to ensure a more harmonious experience. To add insult to injury we where charged 5% for paying by card. This was not explained on the web site or the resort. Antique is an up and coming tourist destination. Lets hope we can have more players with more innovation and determination.

SUPER nice:)!”
We expected LA PAROLA to be nice (we saw pics before booking). Our stay was even NICER than we'd hoped - owners and the staff were welcoming & amazingly accommodating, nicely decorated and maintained facilities, large new flatscreen Samsung & quiet inverter air conditioning in our room, warm pool, ocean right-there and private. The food was tasty +++ pizza, fish (straight from the ocean fresh), ..... HIGHLY recommend!

A pleasant surprise”
I was pleasantly surprised to get a great value and western standards in a locally priced resort. I spent twice as much and not get close to the clean rooms, clean pool, good food and great service. The owner Detir and his sweet wife were very nice and accommodating. I will come here again when I visit my family in Antique.

Excellent 2 -day stay at La Parola”
We arrived at the facility quite late after driving for 3 hours from Iloilo City. We were both tired and hungry but the very warm reception from the staff immediately made the long drive worth it. Thank you Jonalyn, Dennis, zsa-zsa and the rest of the staff. The pool immediately became the favorite of our little one. Food at the restaurant were delicious. We loved the tropical pizza and at php 315 for a 14" pizza, , I thought it was a steal. The filipino breakfast of pork tocino or longganisa was very good too. The coffee was 3-in-1 though, which was a bit of a let down. I would imagine brewed coffee would not be more expensive. But really it's no big deal. What made our vacation more fun and enjoyable were the super friendly, attentive and hardworking staff. Here's big cheers and thanks to all of them. We will be back when our schedule permits if only to feel once again the very warm hospitality of the people from Antique.

Perfect place to relax”
Highly recommended if you want to relax and want privacy. Close to the beach (walking distance), and bungalows. Room was clean and with terrace. Wifi somewhat slow and they charged additional 5% if you use international credit card. Staff was attentive and polite. Have to mention the Hungarian Gulash wich was perfect :):)

Relaxing beach resort!”
Had a lovely 3 day stay here. The grounds are beautiful, there are so many different places to lounge around whether it's near the pool, on a rooftop terrace overlooking the sea, or in a Nipa hut near the beach in a coconut grove. The service was delightful and all the food we had was really good. The rooms are clean and have AC and cable. A wonderful place to relax and rejuvenate!

We stayed in the Attic, which is very spacious. The room was very clean and the resort area is beautiful. Especially the pool is an eye catcher. But most noteworthy is the delicious food. Really good. The staff is extremely friendly and the owner is very welcoming.

This is a must stay if in this area for business or pleasure. You won't find better food or a nicer place, regardless of cost; but the rates were surprisingly low for such a wonderful resort. I promise you that you will want to return again and again.

Wasn't Able to Cancel Booking”
PLEASE DISREGARD THIS REVIEW, I was not able to cancel my booking on time and did not actually stay here. My cancelling the booking had nothing to do with the place itself, just had last minute change of plans. I was actually very much looking forward to staying here as it looked great and the other reviews seemed good.

A nice resort but a very long way from the airport and in need of better maintenance”
A pleasant resort but from Iloilo airport it costs a minimum of 6000 pesos return and they charge 5% for credit cards. There were problems with the cleanliness of the room on check in and with servicing the room during our stay, but the staff quickly rectified the problems. The owners and the staff were all very helpful and pleasant. The room was big but not well maintained with some lights and curtains not working. The house is nice but its not on the beach, which is a short walk across a lane and sandy enclosure. The beach was deserted, so pleasant early morning and for a spectacular sunsets but not really a place you would want to lie on or swim in. This would have been fine if the pool was always clean and clear, which it wasnt. Food was good and reasonably priced when you consider a 'small' portion was easily good for two. The constant all day music thumping out of huge speakers was unfortunate in an otherwise peaceful place.

Very quite place to stay...”
It was a very quite place to stay.. My families are kind of disappointed as they are hoping there will be a swimming pool for the little kids to play.. Very quite we are the only family that was there on the beach, by the second day they are getting bored.. If you are looking for a quite place this is the place you can spend your days..

Isolated, quiet & unspoilt”
Thoroughly comfortable stay with good food. Great staff. Nothing is too much trouble. The nearby lagoon and river into the sea is wonderfully natural & pristine and gives you 4 bathing options, including the lovely hotel swimming pool.

Great stop off in an unspoiled part of the world. Host was friendly and staff was great. We visited a little in the off season and not all foods on the menu were available, but what we did eat was very good. Highly recommended.
