Relaxing ambience”
There were only 3 guests including us when we arrived in the hotel. I love that it is away from touristy spots . it has a swimming pool and beach at the back which you can view from the reataurant (you have to go down stairs to reach it). Free breakfast is ok. The owner do not talk to the guests but the staffs are nice and welcoming. The room was clean and spacious and it comes with electric heating cup and 2 sticks of coffee, sugar and cream. Overall stay was good and relaxing.

There were ants going to our food but it's OK. I guess there should be a mini fridge for each room. The room that we stayed in was very clean and spaceous. The staff were also very friendly and accommodating. I wish to come back here with my kids.

Nice and quiet, but tired and isolated, resort”
Positives - very friendly and helpful staff, quiet and peaceful, big rooms, clean, great pool and restaurant facilities. Negatives - The cabin exteriors are tired and in need of refreshing, the gardens could be so much more, the restaurant food was quite expensive for quality, bike hire expensive at 700 PHP per day which is prohibitive as the nearest shop was a 20 minute walk away. My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights and 4 days, which we enjoyed very much. But given our budget backpacker status it wasn’t really appropriate as it’s a resort aimed more at holidaying families and couples. However, looking at it from that perspective I’d still say that the owners and team should focus on the details, which if addressed could provide a very attractive offer on an island with limited mid-priced accommodation of good quality. Would definitely use again.

Very far but value for money”
Very far from city center & quite difficult to commute. You can’t hail a taxi in Bohol cause you need to call them for reservation. And booking a taxi in this area will charge you double. Only tricycles can hail in Bohol. However, tricycles in this area is quite scarce also. Good thing motorbikes for hire are available.. Rooms are adequate for couples or small family. Water heater is working. Toilet is automatic. The pool looks infinite & is clean which is a plus except for the small jacuzzi. Food is expensive and taste is quite ordinary. Best to eat outside before coming in. The seaview is also nice but the beach has no shoreline which is however compensated by the clean pool. Good & quite place if you just want to relax w/ family & kids.

Quiet and Chill kind of place”
If you prefer the quiet and chill type of place--this is it. Transfers can be arranged to and from the port/airport. They also have connections if you want to get on tours. The infinity pool and the beach side just down the property is best experienced at sunrise. Staffs are nice and accomodating. Wifi connectivity tho, is just limited to the restaurant and the front desk. But, overall experience-wise, it was nice and relaxing.

Pros: Upon check-in friendly and helpful staff welcome us. The place is really secluded a type of exclusivity for someone wants a quiet place to enjoy morning breakfast with an ocean view and a restful sleep at night. Cons: Don't expect the facilities as similar as advertised; the place is trying to maintain its functionality. The service at the resto especially during breakfast takes a long time to serve it to you because the server is all alone taking all the blame for the slow service.

Great location, away from the busy Alona beach”
This is advertised a Beach Resort but, it's not really recommended to swim on their beach front, it's just for viewing which is very nice during sunset. They also have a very nice swimming pool where my kids enjoyed them. Food are nice too, you can taste the freshness of the vegetables.

The room was spacious and clean. The staff were very helpful and friendly but the location is far from Alona Beach so you still need to hire a tricycle to get there. Still the area was nice and really peaceful.

The food service is a downside. They only have one cook, with or without an assistant, which takes a lot of time to prepare. Also, the kitchen is not well-stocked with food...leaving you with little choices.

Misleading photos”
My main issue is that this hotel is advertised by a very alluring photo of the pool overlooking the sea, giving the impression that the accommodation is provided in a similar setting. This is not the case; the main hotel building is situated 100m further from the sea is a less desirable location, with sea views being only attainable by some rooms and even then as a distant view. The main building is 3 storey with very utilitarian architecture, which is a shame since the rooms themselves are well finished and spacious.

The area was a good place close to the beach and amenities. The room was small for 4 people, the bathroom hot water was so hot tha t we ask the staff just to turn it off. No elevators, we were on 3 rd floor.

I booked this place for my daughter and friends. Group Feedback: Cleanliness, fine. Service, Needs improvement. Staff not that friendly especially the nightshift. Owner doesn't seem to care about it. Beddings not that great. Small things: 2 complimentary water, 2 towels for a booking of 6 on a premier family room.

There was no beach and the closest place to go swimming in the sea was Alona beach, which is 15km away from La Veranda. There is nothing to do around, no restaurants, no bars, literally in the middle of nowhere! The room was full of dust, the sheets were with holes and was stained/burned. The house needs renovation, especially the bathroom. The shower did not have hot water, only warm on maximum heat. The AC is extremely loud and will not let you sleep at night. The breakfast was not tasty and so poor that it's not enough even for a kid. Any extras of food were so pricey and the bar was more expensive compared to prices in the city. One of the evenings, we found a live mouse under our pillow that ran out after a few seconds and scared my daughter so much. Run away from this place!

Worst experience ever in my travel life. ”
because of the following: 1. They gave a different room from the one I have paid for. A downgrade! i booked a premier family room but gave us a standard quadruple room. and their reason is that we are only 4. :( 2. I have with me my 60+ parents and the room they gave us is in the 3rd floor! No elevator. 3. Room division was made of wood, you can hear the chatter/noise from the other rooms. We were awaken late at night by their noises. 4. We ordered food around 5:30 pm and we were able to eat after 2 hours! 5. No staff available to assists you. 6. Resort badly Need a maintenance. 7. Dont be fooled by the pictures.
