Very basic hotel with nice sea activities”
Hotel facilities is very basic. Rooms are in a very bad need for renovation. Staff a bit in-professional dealing with customers, except few of them. Chapeau Ibrahim, the bar-man on the beach restaurant. The water activities is an added value (canoe & pedal boat) Food quality is below average, instead you can get vouchers for a cool dinner in the Italian restaurant. The corals is awesome, being snorkeling for around 20 yrs in Sharm, Dahab, Marsa Alam, Hurghada......this place is one of the top places to snorkel, it was the 1st time to see a white spotted eagle ray, I saw 2 of them. If you are into sea and sea activities, I would strongly recommend this place. If you seek luxurious vacation (food and service) this is not the place to go...:)

Terrible Location ”
If you dont like the food at the resort, you should bring your own. The closest town or restaurant is 30 minutes by car. The food is served at certain times throughout the day and it evident by the limited room service menu that La Branda doesn't expect you to eat outside of the scheduled meals they provide. The drinks they served at the bar were not consistent , they were prepared differently by each bar tender who ignored the ingredients listed on the menu. The Red Sea was great, but it's not like La Branda made it.

we spent 4 days. it was a very relaxing clean and cool place to relax except for the disco after 11 PM should not disturb others willing to sleep. that was the only negative point up to 2 AM i can't sleep,, however, everything else was excellent .. thanks to the team>

We stayed for Xmas arrived Xmas eve, however we completely missed the Christmas gala dinner because it was on Xmas eve and not Xmas day and we didn’t know so we arrived to late to enjoy however we still had an amazing time. The staff are amazing, a small tip goes a long way! Staff cannot do enough for you. You can get a taxi into Hurgarda marina for only £5 ( we used ABC taxi via WhatsApp ) the hotel charge £35! The marina is beautiful and so cheap with amazing food. Cocktails in my opinion are are not very nice, but I do find the alcohol in Egypt to not be be the nice so I usually bring my own from duty free! Although a rum and coke was nice :) The only thing that is annoying is the sales team, it’s their job and I am well aware however when you are on your 1st day and every 2 mins a new sales person is trying to force you to have a massage or tour it gets a bit to much specially when they don’t take no or please ask me in a few days as an answer it can really spoil your 1st day settling in. For the amount we paid for this hotel I am very happy and my whole family enjoyed.

Hotel is in Makadi bay about 35km south of Hurghada. Relatively good spot on the beach of Makadi. Relatively old resort but relatively well taken care after compared to its age. Beach is like a lagoon. ?artificially made in a rocket kind of of beach that was probably altered to dig a lagoon in. Water is relatively clear but not the clearest you would expect for the red sea. No lively corals on the beach. So it is not the best for snorkelling but fine for a lagoon/beach swim. Beach is sandy. If you are adventurous I would expect to find corals next to the shore of the island next to the beach. But Its open water there and relatively high waves and no guards and you will need to have a protective foot wear there because it is rocky. Nice big pool with variable depth of water up to 140cm Rooms are alright. air conditioned. clean. The view from the room is amazing. You see the pool and the beautiful scene of the red sea. Food is relatively good with a lot of varieties for all meals and I felt it is well taken after by the resort. Very good Ice-cream. You will be able to find your preferences. Food, water and drinks are available almost all time for all inclusive basis ... so you don't worry about getting your own food. Makadi Bay is relatively isolated area with limited shopping options. Transport to Makadi is best IMO by taxi or Uber. If you can negotiate with the taxi from Hurghada city to Makadi it should be around 80 to 100 EGP (they officially should use the taxi counter which will give around the same amount). Uber is around 150 EGP. From the airport should add an extra 20 EGP. Transportation back might need better arrangements as fewer uber and taxis can be occasionaly found. Hotel taxi will ask for 250 to 300 EGP. Staff are generally nice and friendly. Hope the review is helpful and enjoy your stay in the sun and don't miss your sun screen and a suitable aqua shoes for a rocky beach to enjoy a walk on the island!

I liked the place at first, then when I dealt with the staff I found them very rude and they treat the Egyptians in a very bad way in the opposite of the foreigners which were treated in a good way, the food was very poor and we had diarea many times.

I have stayed in seven different hotels in Sharm, Hurghada and Marsa Alam, and this hotel is the best. The best advantage of this hotel is the staff, who are cheerful, helpful and wonderful Especially the animation team who fill the place with happiness and fun, trust me, they will not leave you until they make you share in all the activities and fun I thank them all, especially Islam, Issam and Atef The hotel also have an excellent sandy beach, excellent facilities and furniture, although a bit old, but still good
