Great location - but don't expect a good night sleep”
This hotel was fantastic location and the staff were lovely. I was travelling with my mum to visit the rag and Christmas market. Although the location was great, there were a few things that were very wrong! - the toilet in my room didn't work, I reported it but unfortunately it wasn't fixed, I had to manual flush using a bottle of water every time which was interesting. -the bathroom light didn't turn off properly, it flickered on and off all night. - we were woken up at 2am but a group who came in absolutely steaming (I'm glad they had a good time but still!) Shouting about taxis and then going back down to the car park for another 20 mins to carry on. I ended up downstairs at reception asking for staff to remind them that it's 2/3am, which they did. If your looking for a cheap hotel to visit the bullring then this fits the bill, but my experience of it was that the facilities arent quite up to par and don't expect to get a decent night's sleep while your here.

Where to start”
It was nice and local, staff were friendly. However there was a party the night we were there and people kept running through the halls and knocking on our room door. My daughter was very scared. We could not lock our door from the inside so had to put a chair next to it. Not the best experience really. The room itself was clean however the sofa was very dirty and the tap in the bathroom was not in anyway secure. I would not stay here again - even if you paid me - sorry.

Welcoming staff, comfy stay”
Had a one night stay here, was in a good location and 15min walk to the centre, free parking (bonus!), and had a good night's sleep (once I got back at 3am!). Plenty of tea and coffee (but check the kettle as I had to clean a bit of brown gunge from the inside) + a couple of biscuits supplied, but no glasses in the bathroom (although, no offence Birmingham, I didn't like your tap water!). Just a couple of quibbles though: There were random drilled holes in the wall above the bed in room 211 that really needs a bit of polyfiller and a random metal plug bracket propped up against the wall outside the room. When I first went up the back stairs, there's random mattresses blocking the stair way to the third floor. Looked a little unsightly for first impressions and surely there'd be something better to use to barricade third floor of that's the intention. Overall, great value for money.
