helpful staff, big rooms”
we enjoyed the stay, we had business to do in zamboanga city. we were late to comeback and exceeded our check out time. we requested to overstay and the hotel agreed and only changed us Agoda rates. we discovered you need to book early as the hotel removes the sea view rooms even if not booked. the restaurant is way too pricey and they charge 10% over the amount. I ordered filet mignon but got beef tenderloin. we suggest eat elsewhere not in hotel. I am American and I have not seen a bathtub in over three years, that was a treat for me and a new adventure for my wife.

My stay was outstanding, my first room was by the road side which was a little noisy, next day I was moved to an ocean view which was just outstanding. I come to Zamboanga every year to visit, I have stayed all the nice hotels and no other can compare to this one.

friendly checkin; very big problems with www (also at lobby difficult, bad signal); room: very nice, big enough; bathroom ok; TV ok, but not many channels; swimming pool: very nice, clean. Nice atmosphere / sie viw. I would like to come again. Value for money is fully ok. Restaurant: overpriced (some dishes nice; but Crispy Pata 99% only bones , no meat; Bana split: they dnt know how to do it. But insopite the restaurant is bad, the hotel all in all is nice; the room clean, the swimmingpool refreshing; no pollution, no noise by traffic. Nice!

Where foreigners stay”
The hotel has become s bit agrd and not just the expensive rooms but also the cheaper ones would need some new touch (to say the least). Staff is ok-friendly and usually helpful, although done requests (e.g getting any towels into your room) might require one to address different people several times. Wifi in the lobby only. There's surely better hotels in town, but this is probably still the best choice dus cronies location. It is for sure a local institution.

The staff were nice. They allowed me to check-in early and even gave me a room at the first floor because I have difficulty walking. The room though looked and smelled old but it was not so bad. It was big and clean.

My stay was OK. The front desk workers like to sleep a lot. The hotel needs to renovate badly. It has an old odor about it. I never got any room housekeeping. I had to sleep under the same sheets and with same pillow cases for my entire stay. The view of the ocean was beautiful. The seaside bar was pleasant but the bartenders gawked at me a lot. The floors in my room were unswept. The bathroom was decorated in 60's style fixtures and design. It is a very quaint atmosphere but really is a step back in time. The restaurant was open some of the time but not for early breakfast. It was a quiet place and not many customers roaming the area. It was close to the city. My stay was OK but I would not describe it as exciting or welcoming. The room décor was very old and boring. I would tend to not recommend this as a fun hotel.

Room smelled musty and there was a cockroach! Shower curtain had molds/mildew. Service in restaurant veeeeeerrrrrryyyy sloooooooooow! 40 minutes after ordering and we were still waiting for our food! Staff were very friendly though, especially the front desk personnel and the lady selling Lantaka pearls.

room clean is ok but no door hanger template.”
It was ok...but i hope someday they will provide a bigger TV and good cable reception not like a 14inch tv. and provide a door hanger template so if the guest doesn't want to be disturbed they will knew, unlike your in the middle of sleeping because i came from the country which the time is delayed by 5hrs then suddenly they will knock for cleaning.

A place in perfect location but quite rundown.”
Location is perfect because it's by the sea. But this once a 4-5 star hotel before has also aged through time. Facilities in the room are hopeless. Air conditioning almost not working & very noisy. Bathroom is as expected from a 2-2.5 star hotel. Bed are not comfortable and the linens smells funny. This hotel needs a massive renovation to keep up. Their restaurant is fine, reasonably priced and clean.

The hotel is old, picture in the add is deceiving .THE hotel has to catch up with the present, the pool is clean but the cabanas around pool is moldy and needs renovation, security is awful , hotel has no security guard late in evening, you will find no security at night, and doors has a latch type, some suspicious looking characters launching their restaurant, and the restaurant management did not pay attention to these non customers hanging around, i noticed very suspicious groups hovering around our dinning table, reported about it to management/staff , but they are too busy attending to their business, disregard to safety of hotel guest. The hotel staff are very courteous and friendly. They even lend to guest of hotel their own personal router/tethering device as the hotel has very poor wifi connection." No wifi in the rooms".You will be lucky to have any successful connectivity in the hotel lobby or the restaurant. No concierge. no business office. You can see thick dust behind the headboard. Towels, you have to call , and they are overused "old", either with brownish spots or towels already tan colored, but they used to be a white towels for sure. The water from the shower is dribbling with rusty color, leave it to run for few minutes to make sure its free of rust. No ice machines or ice from any of the hotel corridors. You can call for delivery, and of course you will feel oblige to tips. I checked out very early and very fast.

Affordable but Scooby Doo!”
Location is great, but the place looks poorly maintained (feels like scooby doo at night). But generally, our stay was great. Booked a Lanai Room, so it has direct access to the pool. The room was only for 4 persons, but cousins stayed overnight and we had some great time catching up -- staff won't mind at all. ;)

The hotel located next to a main road and the noise can be hear clearly from your room. The bathroom always clogged. The shower curtain does not cover the whole shower area which make your bathroom floor all wet after the shower. The air-conditioner does not cool down the room very well.
