The property is about 4km away from town centre. Quiet and with good mountain air. You basically can walk the cement track from this resort to Lao Chai and Ta Van on your own. There are plenty of villagers along the route and they are most helpful with directions. However, it was foggy during our stays. Bame the weather. The road from town centre to this property was under heavy construction. There were no street lamps at night and thus a bit unsafe temporarily. The staffs were pleasant and friendly. They had got 3 dogs and a cats. Had quite a relaxing stay.

Eco Palms House is exactly what they advertise it to be. It is not a Luxury Resort but a Mountain Retreat. Eco Palms House is a breath of fresh air and magical. If you are expecting a 5 Star Resort Hotel with the comforts of one, TV, Telephone, Room Service, Air Conditioning and Heating, Carpeted, Mini Fridge, Bar, and Luxury Amenities, then Eco Palms House is not your place. However, if you are looking for a 5 Star Bungalow/Hut, peaceful and relaxing, friendly and kind owners, nice, helpful, and attentive staff, fireplace in the “Friendly House,” free Wifi, pets running around, clean, daily housekeeping, turndown service with pure essential oils added to pillows, warm and cozy room, nice comfortable bed with a heating blanket, hot, hot shower (let it run a bit and it will go from freezing to HOT - be patient,) and a once in a lifetime view, then Eco Palms House if your place to be.

We were welcomed by the staff when we arrived and they carried our luggages to the rooms. The room was neat and tidy with a beautiful scent. The bathroom is very pretty and the place is very peaceful. The view from our balcony was so breathtaking, overlooking the rice terrace and mountains like a painting. You can get beautiful sunrise view in between the mountains from the balcony and see stars at night. Area is suitable to walk around the villages. There are a lot of mosquitoes, no fans or air conditioning in rooms.

As a business Luckydaisy hits every mark perfectly; a gorgeous location, fantastic and clean rooms, delicious food and drinks (especially the cocktails) and all at a reasonable price. However what really makes this place special is the people. We were first greeted by Timo and Hieyen who were super friendly. We chatted and they showed us to our room, explaining all that the local area has to offer. Later, over a log fire dinner, we met the wonderful owner Hien who told us all about the history of Ta Van, the local girls who worked there and her aptitude for forming new cocktails! Over the coming few days of our stay we got the chance to talk and laugh with lots of women from different ethnic minority groups and explore the surrounding area by bike. The views were nothing short of sensational and Ta Van is the perfect base to explore them from! We came away feeling like we had made many new friends and lots of great memories and would undoubtably take up any opportunity to return!

We stayed for just an overnight and enjoyed our stay because Ta Van is so beautiful. The homestay is basic but you get what you need. The only thing I would recommend for future travellers is be sure to have warm clothes for the evenings and be sure to have a way to keep your valuables safe (I just kept everything on me) since there is no safe / locking area. Great wifi! Lovely staff, too.

Stunning homestay is located in the village, about 10 kilometers from the Sapa city centre. We were walking there for about 4 hours with many stops to take a photo. It was beautiful beginning of our stay in the mountains. The family is super friendly, welcoming and helpful. They offer very good food and drinks at reasonable prices. During the rain time, you can play table tennis or pool. It is also possible to rent a motorbike or book the transportation to the city. We were staying in private room with stunning view on the mountains and rice fields. Sometimes you can find spiders or other insects, but this is the charm of living in the mountains close to nature. Use the spray with DEET and mosquito net which is provided. There is also very nice waterfall close to Stunning Homestay. I can totally recommend that place!

Good points: - great location, Ta Van is a quiet and authentic village, away from the very touristic Sapa - departure for beautiful hikes next to the homestay - peaceful atmosphere - nice living space (terrace) - family dinner was very good - a few other places to have dinner very close (Bamboo Bar for instance) - good breakfast but limited options Bad points: - not so clean to say the least - many many insects (bed bugs...) - very hard beds - staff is kind but slow and not so helpful

I stayed here for 3 nights, and it was a great experience. The owners are very friendly, grew up in the village, and have much to offer anyone looking for an authentic Sapa experience. They showed me around town, introducing me to local people and customs, and made arrangements for exploring other villages. A night of drinking homemade plum wine and eating grilled pork around the fire with them and their friends was a highlight! Accomodations are basic, but very clean, comfortable, cosy, and well-decorated.

John the host is the best and absolutely made our stay. He showed us Sapa the local way and took us on some amazing trails. He upgraded our room to a private Bungalow which sat above a river so every morning wed wake up to the sound of birds and water. The on site facilities were basic but just what we needed. The actual view from the homestay was incredible too!! Each night, a delicious group meal would be made with about 6 or 7 dishes. Huge thank you to Lazycrazy staff- we had the best time and will definitely be back.

The homestay lies directly at a river and very close to a waterfall, which is great for hiking. We only stayed two nights but wished to stay longer. We were five backpackers and the host, flower, was very nice and friendly. Her daughter was fun as well but to be honest the best thing were the 4 puppies of her two dogs. The food was also tasty, especially the breakfast pancakes!

We were a little disappointed in this homestay. While we completely understand that it is not a hotel and that it would be simple, the kitchen, bathrooms, and our room could have been cleaner. There were dead bugs and old gum on our floor. While two of the women were so kind and welcoming, a couple of other women seemed annoyed we were there. Lastly, this is far more expensive for a private room than other home stays around here. We appreciate the women inviting us into their home, but were hoping for a slightly different experience.

If you want a place close to the nature - this is the place to be. No traffic, no pollution, no modernization ... just rocks, water of the Muong Hoa streamline and the Hoang Liên range. You are not even bothered by local people. The only interactions we had were the dogs, the goats and some cows... the room was clean, spacious with basic necessities- as that’s the motto to bring guests back to the nature

Hmong house is a little hard to navigate to, but once you reach and settle down, you’ll start to enjoy its location. Our host, Dai, is a hospitable man and welcomed us with open arms. We had 3 meals with the family. A simple lunch consisting of local dishes and a huge hotpot dinner on the first day and crepes and Vietnamese pork noodles for breakfast on the second day morning. The food was enjoyable and tasty. Together with ‘happy water’, it was amazing. We had a tour around Ta Van and Lao Chai villages and padi fields with our local Hmong tour guide, Man. She was really knowledgeable about the local culture and explained the most trivial but interesting facts about the place, from plants that produce indigo blue color for loca clothes to the things that they farm in Sapa. Hmong house room was beautiful and had a really great view. Overall, it was a great experience and I would recommend Hmong house to travellers!

I really enjoyed my stay here! I didn't realize it wasn't in Sapa when I booked, but I was grateful for the remote setting in the end (not really that hard to get too, but takes about an hour to arrive at from Sapa where the bus will drop you). Sapa isn't such a pretty city anyway and I wouldn't have wanted to stay there anyways. The staff were wonderful and friendly. It was clear they tried their best to make my stay a good one. Unfortunately the internet wasn't working well when I was there but this was on the Service Providers side and beyond control of the lodge. Everything else was great! Just be sure to bring a sweater because the nights get cold.
