Good but some CR facility need to change”
We get the economy room. The room was good but some CR facility already dirty and old. We got problem also in wifi, we cannot connect immediately.

Helpful staff. Room had a small fridge and cable tv, did not expect them in this price range (although Roxas City isn't really a tourist destination). Water pressure is extremely poor, so the shower is always too hot unless turned conpletely off. The shampoo bottle and toothpaste given to me were half emtpy. I don't usually use these anyway but it's annoying given that my room was meant for 2 people. Seafood is actually better in many other cities in the country.

no complimentary drinks but on their paper it stated there was. booked for a room for 4 and only got 2 free breakfast and 2 towels only as per their policy. but their staff is great very accomodating .

Value for money and accommodating staff, but facilities are problematic”
Facilities were not good. There is problem with the plumbing system in the bathroom. The faucet leaks causing a flood in the bathroom. No shower curtain as well.

Where to begin?”
Ok, partly my bad, as i wanted a place near the ocean--this place is not near the ocean, it is not near any restaurants, it is not near much of anything. You need to take trikes anywhere--not a terrible thing but good to know. They serve a nice free breakfast, and the rooms are ok. I found Roxas City to be mostly...not worth visiting. Not much to see, and the highly touted BayBay beach for seafood, well, I got much better in Cebu City and even Iloilo. The fly ridden food stalls where you can get seafood are good for lunch--but Seafood Capital of Philippines? Come on. Our biggest problem with staying here was faith. We asked the front desk to arrange a taxi to a secluded beach we had heard about--supposedly 2 hours away, rough roads (my wife is pregnant) and impossible to get to by anything other than a car or taxi. We had them book us a taxi, and the fee was 1000 php. Now, for a 2 hour drive, that is very reasonable--but it turns out it was less than 45 minutes, and while the taxi showed a rate of 321 php--he wanted his 1000. So, we got ripped off, by the gal at the front desk, and the taxi driver--probably shared to excess. We actually took a jeepney back and a trike, total cost less than 200php, and less than an hour--so the taxi did us squat. The only high point staying there was that the other gal at the front desk was much nicer, and able to answer questions and help us when we asked for anything. Would i stay again? Nope. Get a place closer to the mall if you have to stay in Roxas, otherwise, skip it.

overrated extensive for the kind of room”
Basic room. Very small bathroom. Old clunky TV with bad reception. Slow internet. Air con works but not cool enough. We had to ask for an electric fan which they didn't have.

Our choice in Roxas”
We extended our one night to 2 more nights. Just walking distance to the mall/our work place. Size of food servings should be more consistent, though. Otherwise it's a good place to stay.

You don't get better staff than at Lawaan Garden”
The staff were probably the best I have encountered in my entire life. Occasionally this area of Roxas experiences water supply failures. A header-tank at the hotel would overcome any customer inconvenience in this regard. Maybe the location of the air-conditioner to a higher point on the wall would overcome the "blast-freezer" effect on one of the two beds in the twin room I stayed in.
