Lovely older style hotel with great staff”

great customer service

Everything written about Le Bristol is true. Its an older style hotel stuck in another era. But I found that quaint and cute. What I loved was that the staff were so helpful and made some great recommendations for places to go and things to do. Having stayed the previous 3 nights in a more expensive upscale hotel, overall this hotel was better value and better customer service

Comfortable Hotel”

Good Location, Well Proportioned room
Internet Access via prepay card

My wife and I stayed at Le Bristol for 3 days,it is a very pleasant if slightly old fashioned hotel on a quiet street but within easy reach of plenty of cafes/resaurants. Our room was well proportioned and lived up to expectations. We found the staff courteous and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Decor may be considered a bit outdated

The hotel was nice and clean. Rooms were spacious and had everything you needed. The breakfast was very good and had a good range. Location is a 5 minute drive from downtown and a couple hundred metres away from Hamra Street. If we were to visit Beirut again we would stay here again

Great Location, a hotel with Character”

Location, cleanliness,

This is my second time to stay at the Le Bristol Hotel, I like the location, it's very close to one of the main street of Beyrouth which is Hamra, but still away from the noise and the trafic of Hamra, so one can get a good night sleep, I like the breakfast buffet, a good selection from Continental to Arabic breakfast.

The hotel is good.

good value hotel”

location , efficient staff , attractive communal areas
small room with poor lighting for reading in bed, building work nearby

Beirut is changing so rapidly that it is impossible to avoid construction work. The hotel is a little old fashioned in a charming way; very well located in an area of shops and offices with restaurant options within walking distance (the area around is quite hilly). The area also has the advantage of being stable and safe, not too far from the airport.A good choice for a civilised first or last night of a stay.

The Hotel is in nice quite location, 10 minutes walk to shopping center and to Alhamrah street . Classic style . The only thing is that there is no Internet in the rooms and if you want to use the wireless net in the lobby it cost 6$ per hour. Food is Ok, Also there are few nice coffee shops in the area.

Nice hotel. Good location”

Friendly staff, clean rooms
Expensive restaurant

The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly. The hotel restaurant was a bit too expensive. We forgot our bathing suits in the hotel bathroom and when we went back to the hotel a few days later to get them they were not found. This was surprising to us because it is a 5 star hotel! The fitness center was not in use, which was a bit of a disappointment to us.

Le Bristol Hotel”

Location & door staff
Very small swimming pool area overlooked by a huge building side with falling concrete. Room service menu limited.

The Hotel is in a great location of Hamra, within walking distance to local shops and the bustling High street. Its a 20 minute walk down to the Rocky beach and boulevard down a lot of hills and steep steps, a walk that would cost $8 in a taxi. Very friendly people in local shops and food outlets. Door staff were great at getting the best price for taxi's every night. The Room was nice, comfortable and cosy, but quite small. the hotel is more of a business travellers hotel with an older twist, not really a hotel for two young girls (as we were often frowned upon walking in at 6am). Which made us feel slightly uncomfortable. However the stay was pleasant and the room was clean and tidy.

Very Friendly Staff.”

You cannot beat this hotel for it's location.

The Hotel is in a great location, which is why I stayed there. Everything is within an easy walk, from restaurants to bars (depending on why you are there!) The hotel itself is a little dated, some of the paintwork could do with a quick coat or two. The rooms are very spacious, and there is a very well stocked mini bar (check the price list though!) but again the furniture could do with bringing up to date. When we were there, there was a bit of building work going on close by but nothing that woke you up too early in the morn. I would stay there again purely because of it's conveniance.

Not worthy of 5 stars”

Location

Unfortunately, on arrival at Le Bristol we knew it wouldnt be the most pleasant stay. The staff are nice, but its only skin deep and they never went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Almost every day they forgot to stock our room with water and fresh fruit. Some days we would get 3 vanity kits and no soap, other days we'd get 4 soaps and no shampoo. Very inconsistent. Also, when making calls to get soap, water etc or when we first arrived our safe didnt work, it took almost half an hour for them to arrive to fix it. The worst bit was, the maintenance staff left without fixing the safe or explaining what was wrong with it. The WiFi was fast but inconveniently in the lobby, unless you were willing to pay a exuberant amount extra to have it in your room. The aircon thermometer didnt work - it was stuck on freezing - very inconvenient. I also have to say, the standard of cleanliness in the room was poor - plenty of mould in the bathroom. I would not recommend staying at Le Bristol for the price your paying you can get a much better apartment elsewhere.

If this as a 4 star hotel, I would have been much happier. Being told it's 5 star is misleading. Many things don't work in the room and on my floor they even had water leaks and fire damage - all very visible. However, for the price, it's still good value if one doesn't expect too much.
