Exceptional”
Lighthouse boutique hotel is pretty new with fashionable design. It locates in the centre of Con Dao island, near the local market and the seafront. You may rent the motorbikes in the hotel which were very new. The staffs in the hotel are good in English and they will provide you some local guides about the beach, mountain, local food, coffee shop, etc.

The best vacation we ever had in Vietnam so far!”
1st: room was clean, the owner was friendly. It said on Agoda that wife in common area but the wifi is in every room, even if you sit at the restaurant next door you can still use wifi and speed is really good. 2nd: renting a motorbike from the hotel is a great way to discover the island. The island is very pristine, not so many ways for you to travel around, but if you have the motorbike, you can go to almost everywhere on the island. We wake up at 4am everyday to drive up to the mountains to see sunrise and again in the afternoon to see sunset (opposite direction), it was just spectacular. We rent the motorbike for 2.5 days and hotel owner charged us exactly 2.5 days, not 3 days, which we think very rare in tourist area. 3rd: best thing about this hotel is Anh Thy Restaurant right next door, you can see the front of the restaurant on one of the exterior pictures of the hotel on Agoda. We have never traveled and have such good, fresh n reasonable price on food like this. If you google restaurants in Con Dao, there would be many websites says go to Tri Ky or Thu Ba restaurant. But Anh Thy restaurant offers good quality of food and value for money, we ate there every meal, 3 times a day. The owner is super friendly n focuses on quality and freshness. You can always think of what you want to eat and order in advance. Once we ordered to have crab for the evening, the owner went to market to pick out the freshest one and show us they are still alive when we arrive for dinner, so that we know the foods are fresh. Also, there are 12 different dishes for breakfast, which is many for a local medium size restaurant. We have tried 3-4 different dishes for breakfast and they are all exceptional, good value for money. They open from 6am – 22pm, so you can eat whenever you want. Cannot say enough good things about this restaurant.VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT!!!

Great value for money”
This little hotel seems to have got a makeover recently (previously Hai An Hotel I believe?), so the rooms are still really new and clean. It's situated in a quiet neighborhood and right between the best restaurant and the best (only?) bar in Con Dao, a 5-minute walk from the only supermarket and a 10-minute walk from the beach. The people running the place were also really nice and helpful. A word of caution, don't have your laundry done there if you can avoid it. Our clothes came back looking clean but not smelling great.

We had a lovely stay here and the family that run the hotel were really kind to us. I cooked breakfast bought fresh from the market and they were helpful outside of expectations. The town is small and beaches surround the island so this hotel location was great as we had no sandfly problems. For the price it is fine and simple, no fuss with comfy rooms. We enjoyed our balcony very much.

Comfortable stay”
I went on a trip with my mom for 2 days & nights. The owners were extremely nice & helpful. The location is very convenient. The beach and other famous location are within 3-5 km. I took a 3-hour snorkeling with the owner , much cheaper than in Phukhet or Bali & the course was definitely worth it. The room facilities are simple but clean. Highly recommend if you just need a room to sleep & spend most of the time exploring the island.

Location is close by the centre and good restaurants, from cheap and fresh to fancy more expensive. Althogh close the centre the hotel is located in a smaller street, so it is not noisy. The very good english speaking nice lady working at the lobby is very helpfull and knows a lot about the island. Can totally recommend this place.

Comfortable stay in a central location”
Only had a few days in Con Dao but the hotel is basic but clean and very inexpensive. The hotel is right in the middle of Con Son (the only town on Con Dao) and conveniently located near the town market, shops and a few restaurants. The town beach is a short walk south (less than 10 minutes). For food, there's a great, inexpensive and clean local restaurant next door to the hotel serving authentic and tasty Vietnamese food (one of the best in town).

Great value for money if you want to stay on Con Dao for less then at the resorts. This place is clean, friendly, close to the market and all other city amenities, you can rent motorbikes there, etc. Do not expect more service then the daily cleaning though.

Quaint guesthouse with good service”
Considering the island has very few options for accommodation, Hai An Hotel is a nice, affordable hotel. The rooms are clean and neat. The beds are very comfortable. The family who runs the hotel is very helpful and friendly. The hotel can set up airport pick-up and drop-off for 50,000 vnd one way. The hotel is just a short walk from the ocean. It's also near the market. There are a few cafes and restaurants nearby. If you're looking for a cheaper option than this is your place!

A small hotel with a staff that just makes life so much easier....from arranging motorbikes, to helping plan sightseeing, arranging transfers to the ferry...they are intuitive. Clean hotel, everything was just fine. Felt like home.

Disapointing welcome to con dao”
We stayed at hai an for two out of the originally booked 5 nights on con dao island. It is a very cheap hotel so perhaps we got what we paid for, however have stayed in equally as cheap (a few cheaper also) hotels/hostels around the rest of vietnam with much better services. The main issue we had was all the staff at the hotel speaking no English, apart from one man when we arrived, who even then was very hard to communicate with and made little effort to try and understand what we were asking. No introducing himself when we arrived, it took about 10 minutes to explain that we would like hot water or a kettle to make a tea. The next main problem was the bed., extremely lumpy and very uncomfortable to sleep on, not great for the back at all! The other things are trivial.. However could improve the hotel a bit.. There was only one power point in the room. No bed side table to put things. Hardly any room for putting toiletries in the bathroom. When we wanted to talk to the one person that spoke a little bit of English (the owner) to tell him that we were leaving, he was nowhere to be found.. He had left for a couple of days.. Leaving us not one person that could speak a word of English! Also the morning we were checking out we were woken by the glass on the door upstairs smashing due to the windy stormy weather.. Which can't be helped, however no staff came to check if anyone was hurt and the shattered glass all down the stairwell was left without being cleaned for 40minutes! So dangerous. What I must say though is that when we did finally get onto the owner (the cleaner called him and we spoke to him on the phone) he was quite understanding and gave us a refund for some of the 3 nights we didnt stay, and asked us to write down feedback so he could improve his hotel. He was very Apologetic.

Good nononsense hotel”
No problems. Family that runs the hotel were really helpful, although only one person spoke a bit of english. But our questions or requests were always resolved! If you need internet to survive, than I suggest you book another hotel as the connection to internet did not really function during our stay.

Sweet memories”
I have spent my memorial Valentines at CD Camping. My first time to stay here, I did engage successfully my wife. Hotel boss is friendly and environment was so fresh. Love all. We will come back soon for our honey moon vacation.
